I felt like a computer that had tripped over a string of code and malfunctioned. During all my years, I’d never experienced attraction to another person before.

I was pretty stoked about reading Alaric’s book after seeing him as a strong side character throughout the series, but I was kinda disappointed with this story. It’s just not going anywhere? It took me ages to finish it. Maybe I’d built way too high expectations. Also, even if it was (mostly) said in a joking tone, all the kink shaming made me uncomfortable. The unnegotiated kink practice didn’t help.

I’m still excited about Poppy’s book tho. I assume he’s being paired with Viol, and unfortunately my expectations for that story are sky high. Oops.

Fun series tho.

I’m a bit bummed about this addition to the series. Alaric and Jade were both interesting characters, but I didn’t like the kink shaming. There was a safe word, but it was given to the other MMC to use AFTER things got started. Especially since this was breath play, it gave me the ick. In a dark romance, it wouldn’t bother me as much, but in a series that is pretty cozy? Didn’t work.
Alaric and Jade had a unique dynamic and I did like that. They were both their own brand of bitchy.

A Sassy, Fluffy & VERY Kinky Paranormal Omegaverse romance!
I had always meant to binge this series—with its fun premise—once it fully releases, yet this is the 2nd book in it which made me slip...& I ended up devouring it in around 6hrs! Just look at the cover! The pairing! The unexpected, hot kink! Omg ugh it's great ❤️. I adored them!

Alaric is interesting, a cat-shifter omega, we see him lots in previous books. He's arrogant, sassy & a "Cold hearted bitch” but he's also bold, curious, oddly sweet, caring. He's so haughty 🙄 *annoyed noises* but his vulnerable side & backstory eventually made me melt 🥺. He wants a mate so bad 😭. He's so cute with Poppy (Give sweet P V-mate 😤) & the babies!

Jade is one of the older dragon-shifter alpha brothers, the main guy organizing the games. He's intelligent, efficient, elegant 😌, loves his rules & books... He's also got a kinky secret! When his bros take the mantle to make Jade the bachelor in Season 5, he never thought he'll ever be attracted to anyone or even be accepted by an omega but...Alaric happens!

It all starts with a angry 😾 sneak into 🐉 castle & compromising positions! Omg, the banters & blushes, the lil 1-sided-hate 😅, sparks, collar 🥵🥰, lust, the "secret" visits & possessiveness! It got me hooked 🤭. Only they can handle eachother 😉. The games are so chaotic lol, It got extra feral 😳 & heart racing 😩 at last!!

I don't think I liked it that much. The plot, or rather the theme of the fifth season of the Dragonfate games, was quite messy and not detailed enough. I didn't really like the way the kink was portrayed here. It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't very thorough in its description and it didn't fit into the story in my opinion.

Additionally, I didn't really like the characters and their dynamic/chemistry.

Everything felt out of place to me and that's probably why I didn't particularly like this book.

Really liked Jade and Alaric! I was hesitant about Alaric because of his attitude in the other books but honestly you come to love him in this book lol definitely unapologetically himself always 😂

Jade is a kinky man is all I gotta say on that front lmao I ate him up. He was also wholesome and quirky.

Now I have to wait til May 5th for Saffrons book by the cover it’s going to be a polar bear omega which really intrigues me!! But the wait is awful😭

This was a good read, with some fun parts, some exciting parts, some eye-rolling parts, and of course the absurd procreation. But there's something for everyone.

Aside from the clichés and some repetitions from previous books in the series, this was a book quite different from what the author has delivered so far in this series. I could say the same about the previous book, but some scenes were so, so immature that it frustrated me. That wasn't the case here. I liked the sarcasm of both characters, their arrogance and complicity, they gave it in equal measure.

Alaric and Jade were a perfect fit. I finished the book without feeling disappointed by the wait for the release. Unfortunately, the next one won't be released until May/25. I confess that I find it a bit frustrating to wait so long, since this isn't a book with a mega-elaborate story, a big plot, action, adventure, suspense, and surprising twists. And it's not that I don't like this type of book, but I've gotten used to authors who release books in the same style and level, releasing them much faster. But what do I know about writing and releasing books, right? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

That said, I don't expect much from the next one, but I know I'll read it. My expectation (which will be frustrated as always) is actually for Viol and Poppy's book. I believe it will be exciting, at least I hope so, but I also hope it will be fun.

I was so excited for this book to come out! This series is so sweet and precious, a lovely read with fun characters.

This book we finally get to have Alaric get his mate - he was so disgruntled to wait so dang long for it too, so much so he thought he was being purposely interfered with. So he confronts the main organiser, Jade, and this games dragon bachelor (not that he knew at the time). He also gets quite a surprise when he breaks into Jades office to do the confronting and finds him in a compromising position.

These two are so great together, Alaric is snarky but has a sweet heart and really cares for Jade and also the other omegas he has met along the way. Can’t wait to see Poppy get his mate too.. ah I love this series. It just a sweet comfort read, no angst, feel good reading.

Let’s get one thing straight: Alpha Dragons Cat isn’t winning any literary awards, and if you’re looking for a deep, intricately woven narrative, you might want to look elsewhere. But let’s be honest—it’s kind of a guilty pleasure. It’s not gonna blow your mind or anything, but you know what? I actually found it kinda entertaining! I mean, I’m definitely invested in all these dragons trying to find their mates, and it’s a fun little break from heavier stuff.

But seriously, the wait for the next book is driving me nuts! May 2025? That feels like an eternity! For a story that isn’t exactly packed with crazy plots or epic twists, the long gap between releases is a bit frustrating. I’ve gotten used to other authors in this genre who pump out similar stories way faster, and it’s hard not to compare. I just want to dive into the next adventure already!

Anyway, I’m still looking forward to the next book, even though my expectations are low. Honestly, I’m way more excited for Viol and Poppy’s story—I think that one could be a blast! So yeah, while Alpha Dragons Cat isn’t gonna win any awards, it’s still a fun read, and I’m here for the dragons and their love stories!

I was waiting for Alaric’s book and I was blown away by how much I love it! It was even better than I expected, and I had high hopes! It was splendid! This is my favorite book of the series so far, and Alaric is my favorite character! I love him so much and his b*tchy self. And Jade, the secretly kinky self, he’s so amazing. A dragon who hoards books is a dream come true. The sibling antics were fantastic too!

I liked the kink aspects to spice things up, it was enjoyable even if some aspects weren't to my taste and I would have appreciated proper kink negotiation, but I do feel like the book was a little flat overall. With Alaric being one of the OG characters I was really looking forward to seeing his happy ever after, him and Jade are a great pairing but I think I just wanted more depth and storyline. While each character is unique the actual events/storyline of each book in the series is feeling a bit stale. I feel like the first few books had a lot more excitement and took advantage of the omega-game challenges to add some really interesting plot points. Now the challenges feel like an afterthought and even the after-bonding part of the story where we see the family grow felt a but rushed compared to previous books. It doesn't help that I'm dying for Poppys story, who I've been waiting to be paired with Viol since book 1.

I adore this series. It's an automatic buy for me and I was delighted that Alaric finally got his mate.
After 4 seasons Alaric was hurt and angry at missing out so he confronts Jade and learns more about the intelligent dragon.
These 2 fall quickly. There's a lot of banter, some kink, and plenty of sweetness.
Alaric needed someone who would push back and he got that with Jade. They just worked together

Brat/Beast dynamic + dragons + reality show + fated mates

This was a wild swing for the series and I was here for it. I was going into it thinking these are palette cleanser books, percect for the emotional overload of ‘Lost as Found’ and was floored by this.

Turns out our producer dragon is into BDSM and Alaric stumbles on his secret after going to confront him about his not finding a mate during the previous season. There’s the lightest blackmail and turns out Jade is this season’s bachelor!

My sweet grumpy Alaric has found his match and their tête-à-tête brat/beast banter was fantastic. I also think I finally understand the allure of the collar. We finally see why Alaric is ALARIC and I just wanna give him a hug!

We also learned all about behind the scenes producer Jade who’s hoard is BOOKS and also BDSM, lol.

We’re reaching the end of the series with 2 more books left and I think we’re seeing what happened to Viol when Jade goes slightly feral over his mate.

Honestly - my only quibble with the book is I don’t like Mint as a Baby name - though I did love that this was the first book where the couple doesn’t get pregnant on the first go round.

‘Honestly, it was more odd that they’d included me. I was the behind-the-scenes conductor. I didn’t appear on camera. I stayed in the shadows, lurking behind the curtain where I pulled the strings and helped everything function. I was the foundation that shouldered the weight of the Dragonfate Games. I couldn’t be the bachelor, especially not when two of my brothers lacked mates.’

Finding a mate meant revealing the depths of your heart. Could an omega handle what was in mine?

The fifth season of the Dragonfate Games had barely begun, and I was already pissed off.

A white-haired young man was naked on his knees on the floor. He had heterochromia; one sky-blue eye, the other verdant green, both of them wide and staring at me. My silent rage dissipated into confusion.

“Oh, so it’s okay when alpha dragons break into omegas’ rooms but it’s suddenly a problem when I do it?”

“Instead, this collar will be your punishment,” I explained. “It represents our pact of mutual secrecy.” He scoffed loudly. “You want me to wear a collar like some kind of pet?” he challenged.

“You didn’t take the collar off,” I said in disbelief. The fire in Alaric’s eyes didn’t snuff out, but the flames paused. “What? Of course I didn’t, asshole. You’re the one with the key.” “You could’ve destroyed it,” I pointed out. He scowled. “Why would I do that?

Meanwhile, Taylor sat down and handed me a glass of warm milk. “What is this?” I asked, wrinkling my nose. Taylor grinned. “Don’t house cats like milk?” I glared at him while reaching for the glass. “That’s a blatant stereotype, you big striped oaf.” I took a sip of the warm milk, then sighed contentedly. “Regardless, I appreciate it.”

My inner dragon bristled eagerly. We both wanted Alaric to feel good.

I wanted to know the depths of Jade’s depravity. Some unfathomable part of my soul craved the experience.

It’s official, I thought, my brothers are never running the Dragonfate Games again.

On one hand, I couldn’t help but be flattered by Jade’s devotion to me. It was violent, sure, but undeniably pure. The selfish part of me could overlook the bad in favor of the good.

“I finally won,” Alaric murmured, proud and genuinely happy. A draconic purr hummed in my throat. “So did I.”

“You’re not just going to f*ck me,” Alaric said, his voice low and hoarse. “You’re going to breed me. Is that clear?” My cock throbbed to life. “Yes, kitten,” I promised. “Excellent. We’re going outside,” Alaric declared.

I gasped. It wasn’t the smooth wetness I expected. Instead it was rough, almost painful, but in an utterly delicious way. I liked it. Alaric noticed my surprise. “I shifted my tongue,” he said playfully, sticking out the spiked appendage. “I thought you’d enjoy that.”

First of all, I knew Jade was a little freaky. We had SEEN the hints. But goddamn, I was NOT expecting this 😂 Sir????? You have been quietly running the Dragonfate Games, organizing everyone else's love lives, acting all composed and mysterious, meanwhile you have been hiding THAT side of yourself???

And then there is Alaric, who is somehow an even bigger menace than I anticipated.

This man KNOWS his fated mate is somewhere on this island and has officially decided that he is DONE PLAYING GAMES. Waiting around? Absolutely not. Letting fate sort it out? Apparently not fast enough. He wants answers, so naturally the logical thing to do is break into the dragons' castle and demand them 😭

And the fact that he breaks into the castle specifically looking for answers about his fated mate, only to be confronted with:

"Hey, remember the man you broke into the castle to interrogate?"

"Yeah?"

"He's the bachelor this season. Good luck, fam."

I WAS CACKLING.

Making the identity of the bachelor a mystery before everyone arrives made that whole situation SO much better. Alaric essentially went, I will personally hunt down my fated mate, only to discover that he has just broken into the home of the exact man he's supposed to be dating on national television 😂

Honestly, I loved these two together. They are BOTH prickly, stubborn, sarcastic little shits who absolutely refuse to back down, and watching them slowly realize that maybe they've finally met someone who can actually handle them was fantastic.

And Alaric!!! 😭 After seeing him throughout the previous books, I really loved finally getting to see him find his mate. Underneath all the sass, arrogance, and general cold-hearted bitch behaviour, this man just wanted someone to choose him. Seeing that vulnerability come out once he realizes what Jade means to him made me appreciate his character so much more.

Jade was also such an interesting character to finally get to know. He's spent so much of the series in the background as the organized, intelligent brother who basically keeps the entire Dragonfate Games running. So seeing him actually become the bachelor and put himself out there felt like such a fun shift.

And then we get to see this completely different side of him 👀

I also really liked that their relationship felt different from the previous books. The earlier romances have leaned heavily into the whole FATED MATES → INSTANTLY OBSESSED → CHAOS formula, whereas Jade and Alaric had a little more tension and discovery to them. They had to actually figure each other out, and I think that made their dynamic even more entertaining.

Also, can we talk about the fact that these two are somehow BOTH difficult as hell and yet completely gone for each other??? The banter, the possessiveness, the little moments of vulnerability… I ate it UP.

And I have to give a special shoutout to the brothers from writing a book over night (man, that gives me flahsbacks to the good old university days writing essays udner pressure and heavily caffeinated), trying to run the games for the brother that has always done so BUT the two moments that were a stound out for me were:

- Jade loosing his shit with the shibari game show and seeing him REALLY protect his mate
- the final dinner at the castle

I also really appreciated how much this book plays with the idea of accepting the parts of yourself you don't necessarily show everyone else. Both Jade and Alaric have these sides of themselves that they've kept hidden, and their relationship gives them a space where they can actually be honest about who they are. That made their romance feel like more than just fated mates found each other.

Overall, this was such an unexpected pairing and I honestly loved that about it. I went in thinking Alaric and Jade??? 🤨 and came out thinking Alaric and Jade!!! 🥹
