Prince Amias has always wanted to have a soulmate. Unfortunately, his matchmaking grandmother has declared his wish impossible. Rumors spark throughout the Kingdom of Love, and raise questions as to why his own grandmother would refuse him her gift. It's clear to him that he doesn't have the trust and respect of his people. Leaving his crushed hopes behind, the prince seeks to prove his loyalty by killing the monsters they accuse him of lusting for.
Princess Ignatia from the Kingdom of Dreams, has one hope; to escape before her mother murders her. The single obstacle between her and salvation is the Kingdom of Love, a place of passionate people who would kill anyone to protect their own. Shapeshifting creatures, like herself, are enemies to be shot on sight. If she is to survive, no one can know who she is, even with her mother lurking behind her.
When Amias' and Ignatia’s paths collide, their lives are completely altered. There's just something that captivates each other but they don't know why. No matter the cause, this connection could either make their dreams of redemption and safety come true or completely shatter them. Will they be able to pull their destinies in their favor, or will they slip into their demise?
What do you get when you have the second born Prince who is soulmateless in the Kingdom of Love, a Princess with a hidden past on the run from her Kingdom, and these are 2 people desperate for love and acceptance?
You get Prince Amais and Princess Ignatia aka Clara. She hopes to do right by her people and change the way the Amarian people think of her people. This is a battle that has lasted hundreds of years and these 2 may be the only ones who can end the injustice for both kingdoms.
I enjoyed the storyline, this was a unique take on shifters, soulmates, and the ideal that true love conquers all. If you like fantasy books, shifters, and fighting for love this is a great book you don’t want to miss! I had the pleasure of arc reading this, thank you to the author for having me on your team! This is Morgana’s debut novel and I am so ready to see how the next book in the series unfolds. #dreamscreechersneedlovetoo
What a magical and enchanting story . I had a very good time with this book . Soul mateless is setup in a modern fantasy world building. usually i don't like modern fantasy but this one changed my experience i really love the world building in this one and the magic system with flowers are so enchanting 🪄 and now i love amare flowers 🌸. The book was so interesting that it kept me hooked in the story and i binge read the whole book in 3 sittings 😍😌
The writing style was so nicely done and i really love the character of MMC and FMC and their relationship is so adorable. It was nicely done, and my mouth was hurting because of all the blushing and giggling while reading . The book feels fluffy , cozy and emotional and it is perfect for YA readers. I really love the new concept on the soulmate trope and it was very refreshing to read . ✨😍 The book ends on the cliffhanger and now i am dying to read the next book in the series ✨ 😍
What didn't work for me : The book has very less descriptions of the world building and i would love to know more about the world and the shapeshifters which i think the story lacks and i would also love to know more about other characters in the story the story has 2 POV first and then suddenly it shift to the MMC's friend who i didn't know much about so i had a hard time connect with his character and i would really love to know more about other characters in the storyline as i love character driven stories ❤️ Looking forward to reading more about the characters and the world building in the next book ✨😍
Overall i enjoyed it . If you love modern romantasy 🪄, shapeshifter, soulmate, green MMC , emotional rollercoaster read and magic ✨ try this book out . You will love it 😍
A story that draws you in with a colourful vibrancy, heart wrenching backstories, trauma, violence, impossible situations, a strong FMC and an MMC that will throw you into a raw and painful experience unlike anything else.
This story is so creative and so deep, with strong world building, shifters and amazing fantasy elements and magic. The magic system was like nothing I've read before and I loved it.
I loved that there's a role reversal here with our FMC and MMC – love a powerful woman and a vulnerable, sweet man.
“Soulmateless” is a really unique concept that will have you in a literal choke hold through the last 40% of this book!
I absolutely loved that Morgana wrote a story about what it's like when you are the only one without a soul mate in a society that's main focus is “love”.
It has a slow start, building believable emotions, trust, distrust and brings major questions to the surface that will have you questioning EVERYTHING; it's brilliant.
I love a slow burn, Soulmateless has a slow burn that'll keep you rooting for the main characters and in absolute heart break, sobbing through their journey.
Another reviewer said “Romeo and Juliet”, YES. I was in tears – it's beautiful, very dark in parts and extremely painful, and so, so good.
I love that Morgana did not shy away from showing us the complex trauma her characters go through. No sugar coating things which was a breath of fresh air.
There are so many incredible pieces to this story and fabulous visuals. Morgana has created a truly romantic fantasy tale that weaves all the elements of gritty realism, golden sun rays and the stormy underbelly of truth.
I can't wait for book two! I'm in it, I'm committed, I need more!
Morgana Sandpiper's Soulmateless is a book about a world where everyone is supposed to have a soulmate. But Prince Amias doesn't have one, and he feels like he needs to prove himself. Then there's Princess Ignatia, who can change her shape and wants to get away from a bad situation.
The story builds a cool world with interesting rules and magic. Amias and Ignatia are easy to like, and you want to see what happens to them. They have their own problems, but they also start to care for each other in unexpected ways.
The book mixes love and magic well. It has sweet parts and exciting action scenes. The story keeps you interested with surprises along the way. If you like books with new magical worlds, good characters, and a bit of romance, you'll probably enjoy Soulmateless.
For Prince Amias, life is a lonely existence being “soulmateless”, always looking for his match. “Destined to never find love . Never to be complete. To always yearn but never to obtain it”. His “Amare flower” will never glow, not with out a soulmate.
Ignatia, a dreamscreecher, the natural enemy of Amarians. While on the run from her kingdom, she encounters Amias, whom tries to help her injuries.
Will their encounter lead to more even though theyre natural born enemies?
**This story was mainly about forbidden love and self sacrifice. I enjoyed the visual aspects of the novel as well as the writing style.
For me personally I had a little bit of a hard time getting into it. It was a little slow paced and I felt like it could have been shorter since it’s meant to be a trilogy.
I recommend it for those that like slow burn romance with star crossed lovers.**

No, this book wasn't my cup of tea. THAT BEING SAID!!! Here are some things I really enjoyed about the book, so hopefully you read it and love it.
• the plot is there!! This world is cool and complex and has such a deep-rooted hatred of "other" that I found some impactful • our MCs are loveable. Ingatia is powerfully herself and so, so brave. Amias is sweet and sugar but has the desire to make a difference.
There were great elements to this story, it just didn't fully land for me. however, if this story sounds like you'd be interested, I'd suggest giving it a try!
First let me say thank you Morgana for letting me ARC your book! So greatful for this opportunity!
The themes tie so nicely into the RIL issues without completely hitting you over the head and can absolutely still be escapism. It's such a fun twist on the fate mate troupe! Wonderfully unique take on magic and so visual. I never had a problem picturing the story and settings. The friendship that blossoms between Amias and Ignatia is so pure and beautiful. Seriously the slowest of burns!
I want to thank the author for the chance to read the ARC of this book!
I wanna start with what I loved: - The main characters honestly are adorable - The premise of the story is really cool - The last few chapters were intense and strongly written - The cliffhanger was great
I do plan to read the next book because I wanna see what happens.
If I have any complaints: - I think the MMC is a bit whiney and it’s a little annoying - The repetitive use of nicknames in the same conversation is a bit much - Parse out the world and character personalities more. This world and magic system are both really cool. Exploring that a bit more would be awesome
This novel is amazing! The characters are smart and witty, and the plot will have you hooked from start to finish. There is a little bit of spice in Soulmateless, too, which is always a plus for me. I am already looking forward to book 2.
This book really left me crying because of the Romeo and Juliet vibes. But also because I was able to relate a lot to the main character Amias and his insecruities with wanting to find his true love. I related to that so much and it's good to see that other people think of the same thing I do.
This was an ARC book and I am willingly giving my review of it. Super late is better than never.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book, the characters were interesting and kept me interested. It felt very YA-esque, but the trigger warnings but it a little above that level. It’s the first book of a series and I would definitely read subsequent books!
Amarians whole purpose in life are soulmates, but not all of them have one. The Prince of Amara doesn’t. Or at least that’s what he thinks.
The story was focused around love & finding the one person who is meant for you. It’s also a story of survival. Dreamscreechers, Amara Kingdom’s enemies for centuries, come, kill without cause and leave Amara’s people to pick themselves back up. Amarians are taught to believe that all of the panther/human shifters are evil. But are they really?
That’s what Amias, our MMC and Prince, is on a mission to find out. Along with our FMC, Ignatia, who shares a common enemy. But will learning the truth cause him to betray his family? Maybe.
I really liked this ARC! I feel like this indie author has a successful future ahead! I loved her writing. This was a fun enemies to lovers/forbidden romance. With good vs evil, coming of age and a flower based ancestral magic system. I was drawn in easily and invested in the character’s journeys. The ending is a small hill rather than a cliff but still leaves it open for another book & leaves me wanting to know what happens next!
This was an interesting read! I love that the author had a different take with fated mates, and how the story unfolded made it an enjoyable experience.
There's irony for sure with how the MMC is soulmateless despite his lineage, and I feel so much for him. It was so easy for the people around him who have soulmates tell him to "get over it" and that "he should be happy" for those who who found their true love like his brother. And they view him as someone who's weak because of how kind he is, but that's actually one of his greatest strengths. He deserves to be treated better! I'm so glad he met the FMC, love conquers it all for sure.
Another interesting aspect for me is how the ideology of each faction made them hate each other, and it just demonstrates the fact that people would believe whatever was passed down to them without proper proof and without challenging these old beliefs.
I recommend this book if you like the following tropes: - Modern fantasy world - Forbidden romance - Fated mates reversal - Puma shifters - Dual POV
Thank you to Morgana Sandpiper for the opportunity to be a part of the ARC team!
I received an ARC and I am voluntarily sharing my thoughts.
This was an interesting fantasy story with a unique setting and magic system! I liked how flowers were an important part of the story. I also found the puma shifters to be quite unique and gave the story an interesting feel. I was very intrigued by the concept that the grandson of the queen of love did not have a soulmate.
Our star-crossed lovers are from enemy kingdoms (think Romeo and Juliet style), where they’ve been individually raised to hate/fear the other. However, as they get to know each other, they find that what they’ve been taught isn’t necessarily true.
The story is marketed as having open door sex scenes but I found only one sex scene and felt it was more cracked door than open door. However, I will say this matched the vibe of the story as it overall felt more YA than adult.
Some things I did not enjoy - Amias (the MMC) is said to “titter” a lot and I found that distracting - there’s a whole discussion on brainwashing and “cleansing” that I feel is not well resolved and could be taken the wrong way, especially in this current political climate - there’s also use of science as propaganda/use of science to support circular logic that I also find to be concerning in this political climate where people are straight up ignoring scientific evidence and using YouTube videos of random people to support their point of view
Prince Amias of the Kingdom of Love has been denied the one thing he desires most—a soulmate. When rumors swirl and his own grandmother brands his wish impossible. Amias is the nicest guy and even volunteers at an orphanage. Princess Ignatia, fleeing the Kingdom of Dreams, must hide her true nature to survive. In a land where her kind are executed on sight, trust is a luxury she can't afford. When Amias and Ignatia meet, their connection defies everything they've been taught. As their bond deepens, they begin to question the hatred that divides their worlds. Soulmateless is a powerful fantasy that challenges the idea of inherited prejudice and dares to ask: what if love could rewrite the rules? A satisfying standalone with emotional depth and high stakes, this story will leave you eager for the next book in their journey.
Oh my goodness, this book was amazing! We all love a forbidden mates story, but THIS ONE RIGHT HERE?!? Mind blowing! I found myself slightly frustrated in the beginning with Ignatia. I never understood why she stayed around so long, but then when you read Amias’ pov, it’s easy to understand. They are both so perfect in their own ways. I cried more times than I’d like to admit reading this book. It will crush your heart and make you feel all the feels! I cried and laughed and yelled and was downright ANGRY! But the plot was amazing. The journey of their story, the clashing of how their histories are retold, the revelations that come to light… all insane. You will be on the edge of your seat the entire time!

I applied for this ARC on a whim, and was in one word… interesting. The world-building was incredibly well done, and the forbidden love aspect? Inexplicable—because it was perfect.
When I read the prologue, I honestly thought Amias and Ignatia were the reincarnations of Rayden and Lydia. I mean, it’s fantasy—anything is possible!
ISTG, the misunderstandings and Amias’ family refusing to even listen to him were beyond frustrating. I wanted to shake someone!
That ending, though!!! Please tell me there’s going to be a sequel—I cannot watch Amias and Ignatia suffer because of one blind woman’s choices.
If you’re into romantasy with a Fated Mates reversal, definitely check this one out. It’s got a unique storyline unlike anything I’ve read before!
This book is an enjoyable YA romance set in a fantasy world where a kingdom of lovers is set against a kingdom of shapeshifters. The plot was interesting and held my interest. I enjoyed seeing the different stories come together. The characters were well rounded but not always realistic, and sometimes felt like characteteurs. For example, mmc Amias has no soulmate for *reasons* and thus only wants a girlfriend with seemingly no other goals. The writing was simplistic, possibly verging more towards teen than YA in parts. Some parts of the story were also under explained, such as the world history and the status of the characters and gods. However, the concept was interesting and overall I enjoyed the book.
I read this book as an ARC but all views are my own.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a start! This book drew me in right from the beginning. Two people, Prince Amias and Princess Ignatia, who are supposed to be enemies find one another. They come from very different worlds with contrasting ways of life. They are drawn to each other while everything and everyone is telling them they should not be together. Romeo and Juliet vibes! I can’t express enough how extremely irritating and annoying the MMC’s family is. Despite their caring facade, and terrible nicknames, they are not what they seem (no spoilers here). Can Amias and Ignatia survive the odds in this amazingly imagined world? That ending was perfect and absolutely can’t wait for book 2! Incredible debut novel!
I hate to say this but I did not finish this book. Hear me out though. The book was well written but the MMC is just wasn't doing it for me. He was a whiny little man child who was so indecisive about how he should feel or think about another species. I loved the FMC she was amazing but I just couldn't get passed him.
I will try to read it again in the future. It was just have been that i was not in the right mind set to read it because of all the other books I've been reading and it didn't go along with the theme? But please do not just take my word for it please read it to see what your own opinion is because reading other's opinions it just may have been my own mind set.
Do you enjoy stories about soulmates, magic, and fighting for love? Then Soulmateless won't disappoint!
Soulmateless is a magical, action-filled debut novel that blends romance and shifters. In a deep-rooted world with societal tensions, the main characters Ignatia and Amias try to find themselves and love in a place that wouldn’t accept their relationship. It is a story of two people born to be separated by a sad past of betrayal and grief from their ancestors. The first chapter will pull you in instantly. The plot is full of surprises and has deep world-building. It is a huge emotional roller coaster at some points of the story.
** ARC review ** (sorry for missing the release date...) 3,5 stars, rounded up to 4 because it was pretty fun.
This was quite an enjoyable read. The plot is great, the magic system is really interesting and there were such sweet moments throughout the story. There's Forbidden Love, shifters and a fated mates reversal trope that was really interesting.
Unfortunately I did think that Amias was a bit too whiney and didn't really have a deep goal for wanting love. The worldbuilding and characters could be written out a bit more too. It was sometimes hard to connect.
Overall, I enjoyed the read and I think it would be a good book for teen and YA.
Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me. I managed to make it halfway through the book. There wasn’t really anything memorial to me and nothing that really grabbed my attention. The young girl that likes to make bread seemed unnecessary to me. The wording, flow and pacing needs help. The plot definitely has potential but the plot and book itself needs an overhaul. I see that it’s rated for YA but in my opinion, it aims a little lower and shows unrealistic ideas of love and the occasional lust. I hope the author can take another look and give it the help it needs to succeed.
This book was amazing kept me on the edge of my seat at all times. We all love a forbidden mates story, but THIS ONE RIGHT HERE?!? Mind blowing! This story is about forbidden love and self sacrifice. It is a little slow getting into the story but once you get in it is amazing. They both come from different cultures that are enemies. It is a slow burn romance. The prince is destined to be Soulmateless by his grandmother but winds up finding his soulmate with the enemy the princess on the run.

This book was way more than I bargained for and gosh I’m so happy I got to arc it! I am screaming about the beautiful character development! The plot moves nicely for the first book of what seems like it’ll be a great series. That ending though. I. Was. Not. Prepared. I cannot wait like legitimately cannot wait for the next book. I really hope I get to arc it too. Will def be a reread and I added it to my wishlist for my trophy shelf.
4.5✨️ This book was so great! The whole idea of the plot is really interesting, with the hate between the two kingdoms, brainwashing of people, and forbidden love. My heart was breaking for all that Ignatia and Amias had to go through for each other and for their love, with everyone being against them until they were forcefully separated. I feel very lucky to have read this book as an arc, and with the cliffhanger of a century, I can't wait to read book 2 (hopefully also as an arc reader).

First of all, I really liked the concept of the book and its topics on forbidden love and the issues surrounding it, however I felt it was missing something. I think that the future books will have improvements, but overall it was a good read and well described.
ARC review, all thoughts are my own. Well, first things first let me say bring on book 2! I’m already excited!!! The forbidden love in this book is unmatched. The MCs are sweet. In some parts I found it maybe a little cringey but nothing off putting because that’s just a preference. It had a good plot though and I was sad to finish it. Also, that ending? Oh, my days. Insane!!! Go read it!
I enjoyed this read. I was hooked. I just wanted to see what was going to happen! I definitely am looking forward to book two. I need to know more! There was some spiciness.
I also liked how you seen more of Amias’s POV.
- forbidden love - modern fantasy world - cinnamon roll MMC - puma based shifters - fated mates reversal
I really enjoyed this book! It has really great world building. I also really loved the forbidden love aspect of the story. This story was completely unique and not like anything I’ve ever read. I loved the MMC so much. He was so genuine. But the ending?? Need the second book like now!
