Dreaming in Color

There's a chance that you've met Natalie before, standing behind a table full her prints at a comic or artist convention. Maybe you've even asked her to explain “what exactly is a risograph printer?”. And we’re pretty sure quite a few of you have been at her table contemplating which print to buy and said “I don’t know which one to get, they ALL LOOK SO GOOD”. This book is for you.

Natalie Andrewson is a very talented artist whose work we really enjoy, after working with her over 9 years ago on a small riso book, she has become well loved risograph artist who makes fun fantasy-rooted artwork. She's also made some comics and even Magic the Gathering card art too. We are so excited to release a new book with her. If you aren't familiar with her art, hold up and check this out first. Dreaming in Color collects over 70 pieces of her super strong artwork. Peow2 put extra care into faithfully recreating the risograph printing magic for offset printers, with custom fluorescent pantone blends and a special process dubbed risoset™ (not really trademarked jk).

The book collects many of her risograph prints from the past years, which includes lots of dragons, some fanart, critters, creatures, magic, fantasy warriors, craftswomen, and more.

In addition, the opening section of Dreaming in Color contains an in-depth interview covering Natalie's start with Riso printing and how she uses the machines to make her artwork. Sketch and process images are scattered throughout the book as well, alongside a little author commentary for each of the images to provide a bit of extra insight to the artwork.

This is 100% the book for anyone interested in Risograph artwork and especially for any fans of Natalie's artwork, but also this is a book for people looking for a way to feel inspired by cool things.

Had I ever heard the word “Riso” before this, no. Did I read every word absolutely. The images are stunning. A brilliant addition to any art book or graphic novel collection.

I'm not gonna lie, I bought this book on a whim because I enjoyed Natalie's Miyazaki inspired prints. I'm so glad I bought this book. This book is a love letter to the creatives. A detailed look into the world of Riso. I could not put this book down. I found myself enthralled with Natalie's creative process and eye. And even though the art I create is not the same as theirs (I do photography), I can still apply what I learned about color to my photographs. I think it's super important to constantly be learning - especially as a creative. This really boosted my creative mind. Such a wonderful book that I can't recommend enough.

As someone who knows a little about printmaking and nothing about riso, this was informative and pretty ^_^

So sincere, encouraging and inspirational! Full of raw infectious energy. Made me add “riso machine” to my “to save for” list!
