Theia Gracie was murdered on the 27th of November, 2023.
River Fox has known Theia Grace for as long as she can remember. They first met in school as classmates, but their bond later developed into something more special. Therefore, when the 17 year old’s body was found on one random Friday night, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of insecurity. And that only grew when the investigation in the small town of Eastmain concluded that her friend’s death was nothing but a ‘tragic accident.’ Thus, River knows that she must take things into her own hands for the sake of giving Theia the justice she deserves.
As more clues are revealed, a long pathway awaits her. A pathway which would eventually lead her to success, or total self destruction.

This book gets you hooked from the very start! Langfield helps the reader to get to know the main character and what she is going through, which is a traumatic series of events in her young life.
The reader is pulled into the mysterious story and feels like they are part of the plot, accompanying the main character as she uses clever detective work with the intention of tracking down a murderer.
But then my goodness - the shock, surprise ending will leave you gasping, and in my case…shedding a tear.
