I absolutely love this series. I eagerly anticipate the next books. This series always has a great mystery, suspense, and great characters. Can't wait to read more!
As Alex digs deeper into a murder investigation, danger and violence escalates and theories multiply. I always enjoy the assortment of characters in this series who interact with Alex, especially Martin, O'Connell and Lucien. The storyline has lots of twists, turns and viable suspects. There's action, suspense, humor and some smile worthy moments. I recommend this entire series!
This was a fantastic story, and another great addition to the series. This was possibly one of the most frustrating and complex cases that Alexis has had to investigate. It's certainly the first time that Lucian has initiated her investigating a case like this. Lol! Either way, it's still a story and series that you won't want to miss! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Research flowing to prove a man guilty of murder is innocent underscored with adrenaline filled scenes after she re-opens a murder enquiry and digging deeper. With unknown entities after Alexis to keep her quiet and as she always fears coming after Martin to ensure she does.
All of the Alexis Parker books can be read as stand alone, but why would you want to miss out on the full scope?? Add this to your TBR and start with Book 1. Perfect for fans who fell in love with Nancy Drew as a kid. 💕
Loved this addition to the series. I just wish there was more of a role in the books for Martin. The relationship is written so well that I need to have more in each book. Great book and so much detail.
Cross and Alex are a great team. Cross has the pull and the money, Alex has the brains, the guts, and the determination to get answers. Great book. Great series. Great writer!
Well, I finally finished. This wasn't my favorite Alexis Parker book. The story was very convoluted and confusing. I also didn't care for the main characters this time around, most notably Alex & Lucien. Alex is not growing and seems a bit immature and whiny. I'm thinking James can do much better. Im sorry this is rather negative as I usually look forward to a new book by this aurhor.
Alexis is a trouble magnet. Now her boss, who never takes on murder cases, wants her to investigate a murder. As the series progresses there is less and less of James and some of the other side characters I like. Will Alexis ever tackle the demons of her past?
