There just aren't enough stars for this book! It was fantastic.
Our beloved pair take on a cold case that heats up faster than a sausage in a frying pan.
Seb & Birdie soon get to business working out who killed their client's mother, and why.
There are also mentions of our other favourites, Cavendish and Walker, tied to Seb's daughter Keira. Twiggy and the Sarge are in great form and I can't praise this book highly enough.
Haven't read any of the previous books? Don't worry, it could easily be read as a standalone.
Sally Rigby has delivered another brilliant read that is all tied up neatly at the end with a little surprise for Seb.
Huge thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC.

It's a fantastic new installment in the Birdie/Clifford realm!

Starts out with a bang and never stops!

A very old cold case is front and center and brings our dynamic duo together again.

Seb is treading the new realm of being Dad to Keira, and Birdie is on the cusp of a relationship.

The odd couple works together to solve the cold case, and they are especially interested because the name of an old acquaintance pops up. And not in a good way.

I'm so glad I received an ARC of this book, and I am thrilled to give you my honest review!

Gripping Cold-Case Thriller with Strong Characters
Sally Rigby’s Question of Guilt delivers a compelling cold-case mystery with sharp writing and well-paced suspense. Private investigators Sebastian Clifford and Birdie Bird navigate buried secrets and dangerous truths as they reexamine a decades-old murder. With engaging characters and a gripping plot, this seventh entry in the series was a satisfying and suspenseful read. Thanks to NetGalley and to the publishers of this book for giving me a free advance copy of the book to preview and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the first book that I’ve read in this series, and it was pleasantly enjoyable. Sebastian and Birdie (that nickname always grinds my gears) are private investigators and former detectives taking on a new case that’s ice cold. A woman named Daryl has never believed her father was guilty of killing her mother, Helen, and she hires them to see if there’s any chance he was innocent. The reader’s clued in from the start that he was, which doesn’t leave much of a mystery, except figuring out who was actually behind his death.

Her mother was part of an activist group that wasn’t even looked at when she died, so Seb and Birdie start there. They uncover obvious corruption that Helen was gathering info on, not to mention crooked cops who made sure her husband was the only suspect. You can guess where this leads – they are threatened and intimidated just like Helen and worry that the bad guys will get away with it again.

It’s one of those books where you feel like you’ve read it before because it’s such a common plot. And there was a clear lack of suspense because you know the lead characters will make it through without being in any real danger. Not having read any of the previous books in this series, I wasn’t sure about the relationship between the two leads – are they and have they always been strictly platonic? Was it ever hinted that it could be more? It wasn’t alluded to at any point, so I wasn’t sure about the complete lack of romantic tension.

I had a hard time staying invested in the story, and it just didn’t appeal to me enough that I would read more of this series.

Though this may be a cold case, the danger is very real as private investigators Sebastian Clifford and Birdie unearth secrets that someone feels should remain buried. Another great tale in a captivating series. Filled with twists and turns, the storyline is a nail-biter. Add to that the engaging characters and you get an excellent read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Daryl Brackstone's mother was murdered in 1989. Her father was convicted and later died in prison, but she's always known he was innocent. After being approached by the presenter of a true crime podcast, Daryl wants private investigators and ex-detectives, Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda 'Birdie' Bird, to find out what really happened twenty-five years earlier. Finding evidence of secrets groups, dithering witnesses, and unscrupulous police officers is only the start of the problems for the duo. A lot can happen in a quarter of a century, and memories fade. Was Daryl's father to blame, or did someone else get away with murder?

Book seven in this series was my first, and I didn't want it to end! The storyline was compelling from the start, and I was completely hooked. There were no spoilers from previous books, and the two main protagonists were immediately likeable, and their back stories gave just enough information throughout to keep everything relevant.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, Storm Publishing, but the opinions expressed are my own. I absolutely loved this and can't wait to read more.

What a fantastic read!!!!

Firstly I did not know this book was part of a series, but it’s still a fab stand alone book. It was very easy to get stuck in to this book, you got to know the characters and what they do and what their job is. The flow of the book is great, I was eager to continue reading the next chapter. I felt like I was also a private investigators, thinking of who done it all the way through.
Thoroughly good read and I will be recommending to my friends and family to read this.

Lastly thank you to the publishers, NetGalley and the author for accepting my request to read Question of Guilt

Thank you Storm publishing and NetGalley for providing me with this eARC. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit, loved the rest and turns and uncovering the real killer. This book starts with Daryl approaching private investigators Seb and Birdie about her mother’s decade old murder for which her dad died in jail and she doesn’t not believe her dad did this. Seb and Birdie start digging deeper and finds out Helen ( Daryl’s mother ) was no ordinary woman but she was in a activist group that was investigating higher ups and Seb and Birdie is sure they are close to uncovering the real killer and they start becoming the target.

This was really interesting, even though I haven’t read the previous books in the series but I will be interested in reading them!

The latest page-turner from Sally Rigby is her best yet. Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda Bird - Seb and Birdie - are fast becoming my favourite private investigators and here they well and truly take centre stage to unravel a complex, compelling plot.
The story is cunning, intelligent and expertly told. It is also poignant and realistic focusing on a possible miscarriage of justice that resulted in an innocent man spending the rest of his life in prison for a crime he did not commit.
The writing is supremely confident and the characterisation absolutely pitch perfect. This is an outstanding addition to a series set in the English Midlands that just keeps getting better and better. It's rare gems like this that make British Crime Fiction the best in the world.

Daryl Brackstone approaches private investigators Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda ‘Birdie’ Bird (Seb and Birdie) about her mother's decades-old murder. She's hoping to finally uncover the truth. Her father died in prison for the crime, but Daryl has never believed he was guilty.
Daryl tells them that she was contacted by Ali Simmons a podcaster in Laeicester.
Of Course, Seb and Birdie are not pleased about a true crime podcast- aka amateur –true crime detective. However Ms. Simmons discovered that Daryl’s mother Helen Brackstone –wasn't an ordinary suburban housewife – she was also part of a secretive activist group investigating high-level corruption.
Which now has Seb and Birdie wanted to do some deeper investigation.

They do find out a lot more which definitely kept me curious.
I have read and loved several Sally Rigby’s thrillers most were in the Cornwell Murder series however, this my first Seb and Birdie; different from the Cornwell Murder but still great.
In Sally Rigby’s “A Letter From the Author”, She tells us that she hopes readers are hooked on Detective Sebastian Clifford.
I can answer with a big Yes! I am certainly looking for more adventures from these two. Additionally I love their personal lives. Birdie is much young than Seb so the team is a fun balance.
Seb now has a college age daughter who interested in becoming a lawyer. Have a feeling we are going to hear more about her college experiences.

BTW: I also like that the real Daryl Blackstone got her name in this story as she won a charity contest to have a character named after her.

Thank you NetGalley and, of course, the amazing team at Storm Publishing for granting me this great read.

Question of Guilt by Sally Rigby is a recommended procedural/cozy mystery and the seventh book in the Sebastian Clifford series. In this outing private investigators Sebastian (Seb) Clifford and Lucinda 'Birdie' Bird take on investigating a cold case. It can be read as a stand alone novel.

Thirty-six years ago Daryl Brackstone's mother Helen was murdered. Her father, who was convicted for the crime, recently died while still in prison. Daryl never believed her father was guilty. When a true crime podcaster contacted her about her mother's murder, Daryl decided to hire a private investigator to look into the case, which brought her in contact with Seb and Birdie.

The duo decide to take on the case and discover that the police didn't look at anyone but her father and her mother Helen was part of a secretive activist group investigating high-level corruption. Soon the investigators are being targeted which clearly indicates someone has something to hide.

This an even-paced investigative mystery. Clues and information are logically followed as more facts are uncovered in their inquiry, leading the two to further areas to examine. Admittedly, the plot is also very predictable this time. When the opening scene shows the reader that the father was not involved in the murder, it removed the question of guilt and thus some of the tension from the investigation. It might have been a better choice to not start with that scene.

It was entertaining to follow Seb and Birdie looking into the case and see their partnership develop further. Seb's college-aged daughter makes an appearance and is great at assisting with research. The inclusion of Birdie going on a date was a pointless addition to the story and felt like pandering. Personally, I have enjoyed Rigby's other mysteries more. Thanks to Storm for providing me with an advance reader's copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary and expresses my honest opinion.

Question of Guilt by Sally Rigby was an excellent book and the 7th book in. the Detective Sebastian Clifford series and where have I been? This is the first book I have read in the=is series and it starts with a Bang and I was hooked!

Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda ‘Birdie’ Bird are best know as Seb and Birdie, they both worked for the Police force and left to become are private investigators,

Daryl Brackstone mother was murdered and she wants to find out who killed her. But, her murder maybe decades ago but it's still feels raw! and she is hoping that private investigators Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda ‘Birdie’ Bird will finally uncover the truth on what happened to her mother and why she was murdered!. Daryl's father was charged for her murder and sadly he died in prison but Daryl has never believed he was guilty and someone else killed her. But why?

Seb and Birdie start to look into this murder and as they dig deeper, they discover that Helen Brackstone wasn't just a suburban housewife. . . . . . . she was part of a secretive activist group investigating high-level corruption. WoW!

Threatening messages and intimidation tactics start targeting the investigators, now it becomes clear that there are very powerful people want the past to stay buried forever. . .. . . .

But, what secrets did Helen uncover that made her a target?

The clock is now ticking and Seb and Birdie have to expose the real killer before they become the next victims.

Will they find out who killed Helen Brackstone and put the real Killer or Killers in prison?

This book was so good and was a great standalone book. Now, I need to go back and read the other 6 books.
I loved the 2 main characters Seb and Birdie.

Big Thank you to NetGalley and Storm publishing for my ARC.

Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda ‘Birdie’ Bird are tasked with finding out why a lady’s mother (Helen) was murdered approximately 30 years ago. She never believed her father killed her mother and want them to find out the truth.

As they dig into this very cold case, they discover Helen was involved in an activist group investigating high-level corruption and this could possibly be the reason she was killed. As their case progresses, they are threatened and so they know they are on the right track. Not only do they discover corruption involving public officials, but also in the police force.

I liked the storyline of this one and it had a great start, which really drew me into the story. What a way to die! Helen was so innocent in her thinking and that is what makes it even more horrible that she died. Birdie is finally maturing in this book and not as late as she always was in the previous books. Plus, she doesn’t seem to tease Seb about his background as much. I am curious as to why Seb doesn’t date and thought he might start something with the podcaster, but nope. I’m still on the fence about how I feel about his daughter, but she doesn’t really affect the stories much as she doesn’t play a significant role in them. She is good in assisting in research for them.

After receiving this ARC, I immediately read the previous six stories and enjoyed each one of them. I like how the relationship between Seb and Birdie has grown and the other characters that come in and out of each story, namely Birdie’s previous police partner, Twiggy. I hope there are more books in this series.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book that I have read in Sally Rigby's "Detective Sebastian Clifford " series and although I enjoyed it I must admit that I wasn't as gripped as I was in her Cornwall series and I couldn't seem it invest in the main characters in the same way, having said that, Birdie and Seb did seem to grow on me.
Podcaster is a word that detectives dread hearing but when Daryl Bradstone approached P.Is Sebastian (Seb) Clifford and Lucinda (Birdie) Bird her story made them listen.
Daryl's mother had been murdered thirty six years ago, she was poisoned with cyanide and her father, on very scratchy evidence, had been found guilty of her murder and had died in prison.
When podcaster Ali Simmons contacted Daryl and asked for an interview what she had to say peaked Daryl's interest. Ali had discovered that Helen Bradstock had been quite active in an organisation hell bent on uncovering high level corruption and they were ruffling the feathers of very powerful people, could this be connected to her mother's murder ? was her father innocent, had he died in prison needlessly ? Daryl needed to know.
Seb and Birdie decided to take the case even though it was very cold.
As this story unfolds, Birdie and Seb become certain that the podcaster was on to something big and they both called in favours from friends and ex colleagues in the police force to uncover the unscrupulous activities of people with deep pockets and friends in high places, friends that could make things happen, friends who could make things disappear.
This was more of a cosy mystery that a supercharged one, perhaps now that I know the characters better I will be more invested in the next book in the series..
Thank you Storm Publishing and Net Gallery for this Arc, this review is totally voluntary.

Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda ‘Birdie’ Bird are private investigators, he's the son of a lord and has recently discovered he has a teenage daughter at university. She's bisexual. They have both left the Police, although she is only thirty. This si the seventh book in the series, none of which I have read before, but it is easy enough to read as a standalone.

Daryl Brackstone approaches the duo, her mother Helen was murdered decades ago by ingesting cyanide and her father was convicted of her murder. Her father died in prison a year ago and a true crime blogger has approached Daryl with evidence that her father may have been wrongly convicted and Daryl wants the duo to uncover the truth.

As they dig deeper it seems that Helen Brackstone was not just a middleclass suburban housewife, she was also a founding member of a group of activists which protested cronyism and investigated corruption. It seems one or both of the detectives assigned to the murder may, at best, have cut corners believing they had a slam dunk suspect, and at worst deliberately framed an innocent man.

Then Birdie starts getting threatening messages and is run off the road by another car - evidently their investigations are getting close to the truth.

This was an interesting detective story. It helped enormously that Birdie is still friendly with her former partner and Sarge so can draw on their knowledge and resources. Similarly, Seb has friends in high places and his father knows a lot of important people, so can effect introductions or provide insights into character.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley.

Question of Guilt is a gripping addition to Sally Rigby’s Detective Sebastian Clifford series—and I can’t believe this is the first one I’ve picked up. It won’t be the last. From the very first chapter I was hooked, pulled straight into a decades-old murder mystery that refuses to stay buried.

When Daryl Brackstone approaches private investigators Seb Clifford and Lucinda “Birdie” Bird, she’s desperate to prove her father’s innocence. He died in prison after being convicted of poisoning her mother Helen, but Daryl has never believed the verdict. What begins as a cold case soon becomes a dangerous hunt for the truth, uncovering corruption, destroyed files, and a victim who was far more than the suburban housewife she appeared to be.

Rigby expertly balances the procedural detail of a historical investigation with the pace of a modern thriller. Seb and Birdie’s dynamic is sharp and engaging, blending professional grit with flashes of humor and humanity. As threatening messages escalate and their inquiries put them in the crosshairs, the tension ratchets up page by page. By the time the final revelations landed, I was fully invested—not only in the case, but in these two investigators and the world Rigby has built around them.

This works perfectly as a standalone, but if you’re anything like me, you’ll want to go back and devour the earlier books. Clever, fast-paced, and full of twists, Question of Guilt proves Sally Rigby is a must-read for fans of tightly woven detective fiction.

Question of Guilt is a truly compelling addition to the Detective Sebastian Clifford series. From the first page, I was swept into the mystery – it’s one of those rare reads I simply couldn’t put down. The premise is chilling: a mother murdered, a daughter determined to uncover the truth, and a pair of seasoned investigators who quickly find themselves in dangerous territory.

Despite the dark core of the story – a decades-old killing and a buried conspiracy – this novel has an unexpected feel-good quality. Perhaps it’s because the case is cold, giving both characters and readers space to process the tragedy with some distance. Or maybe it’s the chemistry between Seb and Birdie, whose thoughtful, human approach brings depth and warmth to the investigation.

The story unfolds with the perfect balance of suspense and emotional stakes. Helen Brackstone isn’t just a victim; she’s revealed as a complex woman whose life and choices ripple through the decades. As Seb and Birdie dig deeper, they uncover more than just a murder – they disturb secrets that powerful people are still willing to kill to protect.

Fast-paced, smart, and emotionally satisfying, Question of Guilt is another hit in a consistently strong series. Fans of layered mysteries and dynamic duos will love this one. Highly recommended.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I just had to for this one. This was my very first cold case investigation, and oh my goodness, what a way to start! Sebastian and Birdie are an absolutely brilliant duo — clever, determined, and full of heart. They pulled me right into a decades-old murder mystery from the 1980s that had more twists than a country backroad.

The case itself was gripping: a man accused of murdering his wife, and finding out the secrets of what happened took great investigating.. Watching Sebastian and Birdie unravel the threads of this chilling case was nothing short of mesmerizing. I couldn’t put the book down — I stayed up way too late just to see how it all turned out!

The 1980s setting added a fascinating layer to the story, from the old video cassette tapes to dusty files and diaries and the way the way they pieced it all together — I felt like I was right there beside them, uncovering the truth one clue at a time.

If you’ve never read a cold case mystery before, this is the one to start with. I’m hooked now and will definitely be on the lookout for more investigations from this duo. I give this five stars without hesitation due to Author Sally Rigby — it’s a page-turner with brains, heart, and a hauntingly good mystery!

I really enjoy this authors writing and have read some of her previous novels.
I did not know this book was part of a series, and I hadn't read any others in the series but this definitely worked as a standalone.

Sebastian Clifford and his partner Lucinda 'Birdie" Bird run a private investigation company. They are hired by a woman to investigate a crime that took place 36 yrs ago. The woman's mother was murdered and her father was charged with the crime and imprisoned for life. Her father passed away in prison. The woman believes that her father is innocent and wants Sebastian and Birdie to expose the corruption that took place during the investigation all those years ago.

Question of Guilt kept me turning the pages with its emotional tale of a daughter desperate to clear her father’s name and uncover the truth behind her mother’s decades-old murder. I found myself fully invested. And I love the name "Birdie" :) .

Thank you to @Netgalley @Stormpublishing & Sally Rigby for the opportunity to read and give my honest opinion.

I had not read any in this series but I do enjoy all of the author's Cornwall Murder Mysteries series.
A daughter hires the team to reopen the case of her mother's death in which her father was convicted and died after many years in prison. Daughter is positive that he was innocent and that the police investigation was tainted. I was pleased with author's management of the contrast between Sebastian's fantastic ability to sight memorize and Birdie's police colleague Twiggy's incipient dementia which does not yet compromise his abilities to be effective. Very interesting characters, plot, and twists I never saw coming.

I really enjoyed reading how this cold case was approached and resolved. Not so many twists and turns but the research process and methodical teamwork was well thought through and engaging. Seb and ‘Birdie’ are an awesome and highly professional team. They have a great dynamic and such huge respect for each other. As this is book seven, the key relationships are in place and allow the focus to stay where it should be. These two ex-policepersons don't attempt to second guess their ex-colleagues but rather work with them. This builds serious credibility, cooperation and assist in the resolution of the case.

I love that their private lives are essentially private. On the fringe for the most part so not a significant part of the storyline. Just enough to add some depth to each of them.

Its five out of five on the enjoyment scale

4* Probably best if you've read the previous books in this series, but enjoyable even if you've not.

This is a decent tale with 2 sort-of-mismatched colleagues who've left the police force and are now private investigators. The tale is set in the UK, making it more believable for all the (thankfully) lack of gloss.

The cold case they're investigating is well orchestrated and has some pretty sad bits, as well as vindication. Unfortunately the male lead's title and wealth felt a bit token, as did the goes-nowhere bisexuality of the female lead (cosy-mystery style, so a sort of nearly-start of a possible relationship, that consists of a public date, so no sex). Still, neither aspect would stop me reading more of the series. The male lead's daughter, part of the investigative team, was possibly the most interesting character of all, and I'd definitely be up for reading more about her.

This was my first Sally Rigby book and so the first book of the series I've read, and what a great introduction it was. Question of Guilt can easily be read as a standalone book as Rigby sets the book up so well.

The book takes us through the private investigation of a murder from 36 years ago that it seems maybe a wrongful conviction. The characters of 'Birdie' and Seb are interesting, individual, and invested in their quest to discover the truth of the case and I look forward to reading more about them.

The flow and pace of the book is great, with just the right balance and drama and emotion. The twists and turns kept me guessing throughout and turning the pages. The reason it wasn't a 5 star review was that I didn't feel gripped, and although the ending wrapped the story up well, it just lacked a certain something.

Thank you to NetGalley, Storm Publishing and Sally Rigby for access to the ARC of this great book.

Daryl Brackstone’s father died in prison after being incarcerated for several years for the brutal murder of her mother, Helen, a murder she is convinced he did not commit. Desperate to find out the truth, she sought the help of private investigators Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda Bird, aka Birdie, hoping they could uncover the truth surrounding the murder and clear his name. Soon after they began their investigation, they began to receive threatening messages. It became apparent that Helen was a part of a group investigating local government corruption, and it appeared that she uncovered the names of the people responsible, resulting in her murder. It soon became apparent that Daryl’s father was innocent. There was a larger force at hand trying to prevent Sebastian and Birdie from finding out the truth, and fearful for their own lives, they had to move full speed ahead to find the killer before they too became the next victims.

This is book 7 of the series featuring private investigators Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda Bird (Birdie). Seb is interesting. As I read through the different stories, I picture a tall, distinguished man. His family is like royalty, the upper elite, but he doesn’t want anything to do with that. He will step in if needed if his brother cannot attend an important engagement but otherwise, he just wanted to be a policeman, to his parents’ disappointment. Now he is a private investigator and has ex-policewoman “Birdie” working with him. She is quirky. You have to love her. They have a new case now. Daryl Brackstone wants them to re-investigate her mother’s murder years ago. It turns out the mother was investigating high-level corruption. As Seb and Birdie work on the case, they are uncovering surprising things and then they become the target. The book is exciting as they try to solve it and keep themselves safe. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.

When Daryl approached Seb and Birdie, private investigators regarding a decades old case - her mothers murder, her fathers incarceration till he died in prison, there was little hope that anything new could be discovered. To the contrary, what turned up was a slew of missed interviews of people relevant to the case, corrupt cops and a carelessness which was planned and callous to pin the murder on the husband.

The slow unraveling of a case decades old was different. Files had been destroyed, many of the key people from police to witnesses were dead, there was shoddy paper work and just to get the timeline right took a lot of work.

Despite the time lapse, it was obvious that powers that be were uneasy at the pace of the investigation, and Seb and Birdie had to be cautious that they wouldn’t be the next victims.

The story telling was excellent and I did like the way the procedurals were followed in the investigatio

Daryl Blackstone asks PIs Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda Bird to investigate her mother's murder which took place many years ago. Although her father was convicted of the crime and died in prison, Daryl has always believed in his innocence.  When Lucia and Sebastian investigate, they discover Daryl's mother was not only a housewife, but was also involved with an activist group investigating high-level corruption. When they start receiving threatening messages to stop their investigation, they become determined to solve the mystery and help right the miscarriage of justice for Daryl and her father.

This cold-case thriller is well-paced and the storyline compelling.  I loved the banter and connection between Seb and 'Birdie' which adds another dimension to the story.  This is a thoroughly engaging mystery - I will definitely be looking to read more of this series!

4* An intriguing read

Book seven, I'd not read the previous books and had no problem reading this as a stand-alone. I didn't feel that I'd missed out by not reading the earlier books.

Sebastian Clifford and his partner Lucinda 'Birdie' Bird run a private investigation service and are approached by a woman requesting their help to investigate an old crime. Thirty-six years ago the woman's mother was murdered and her father charged, found guilty and imprisoned for life, however she's always believed her father to be innocent. Seb and Birdie's inquiries flush into the open corrupt police officers and retired crooks who all thought they were beyond the arm of the law.

Question of Guilt was complex enough to require my total attention yet still be believable and enjoyable.

With thanks to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book, this review is my personal, unbiased opinion.

I wanted to love this book... but friends... I had a tough time getting into this book!
I just couldn't stay engaged and felt a bit bored. It was hard not to DNF the book.
Sebastian and Birdie - PIs and former detectives.
Cold case. Man accused of killing spouse, but there is much more to the story, according to the daughter, Daryl.
I felt like I had read this before - not once, but maybe a few times.
I didn't get the suspense that I wanted.
Felt a little like the writing possibly had a "nudge" that the two MCs might have some relationship that was not platonic? But it was hard to say.
The pace of the book was too slow for me.
I felt like I knew what was going to happen from the beginning of the book.
I did not like the structure of the plot.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
Happy Reading!

This is book seven in the Sebastian Clifford series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone. I truly enjoyed this book. The suspense gripped me and I just wanted to finish the book. Our main characters Sebastian Clifford and Lucinda ‘Birdie’ Bird, are great and I liked them from the start. This was the first book I read in this series and will check out the others. Sally her writing style dragged me into this story and didn't let me go. I liked that we are looking into a cold case and although the plot wasn't spectacular, it kept me entertained. If you like private investigators, mystery and an easy read, you should definitely try this one.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you, NetGalley, and Storm Publishing for this copy.
