Quick, spicy and the perfect gateway into the world of Clarissa Wild

I actually got this little novella for free at RARE London. Clarissa Wild was there in person, handing out copies, and I thought that was such a fab way to discover her work.

And let me tell you… I devoured this.

Yes, it’s pretty much straight-up smut. No complaints here haha. But what I really loved was how it gave just enough of a peek into the characters to make me want more. It’s short, fast-paced and honestly just a really solid introduction if you’re curious about Clarissa’s style. It gave me a good sense of who the characters are and set up their dynamics in a way that makes me excited to jump into the full series.

I’ll be passing my copy along to a friend, especially since it was a freebie. It’s one of those reads you just want to share. Easy, fun and a great little bonus for anyone heading into her world.

Definitely recommend if you’re after a quick spicy fix and want a taste (pun fully intended) of what Clarissa Wild has to offer. Now excuse me while I figure out which book in the series to start first.

Men Who Yearn by Clarissa Wild is a novella prequel to the legacy series in the Spine Ridge University series and while it is short, it's just as scandalous.

Kayla accidently is a witness to a secret shootout between the Dean of the school and a member of The Bones Brotherhood. With Dean Rivera injured as a result, Kayla offers her help and they end up having a little more fun than they originally intended.

After reading the first prequel novella 'Burn', I wasn't expecting much from this but I really enjoyed it. It was cool to get a peak into a male main characters' parent because we didn't get that during the main series. I was surprised how different Felix and his Dad are and I'm definitely a Dean Rivera fan. The only reason my rating is lower is because it's almost too short and ultimately doesn't really provide much to the actual storyline. It's more a little glimpse into Dean Rivera's life than anything else important.

Kayla’s experience is shocking to say the least.

Kayla goes to Spine University. It feels like the Dean has been stalking her and her friends, but with his eyes always on her. Wow, the attraction between them is really not normal. She witnesses something she shouldn’t and she helps out. The next day she gets a big bouquet of flowers with a note from the Dean. You have to read this prelude to find all that happened though. Can’t wait to read Boys Who Hunt to find out what happens in their story.

Whew, who knew Dean Rivera was built like THAT 😰🫠

I was drawn in immediately and needed MORE. This short snippet of Salvatore drove me crazy. I cant stop gushing about him. I was giggling like a school girl every time he spoke. I love the subtle hints of Felix that came through. I really want to know how he and Kayla ended. I have a very hard time believing it actually ended up being a one time thing, especially knowing what the Riveras are capable of.

​I honestly loved this "relationship" and really wish this storyline had been explored further it definitely earned its own full length book. Because it’s so short, you don't get a deep emotional connection or significant character development, but that’s to be expected for this length. You do get the hot dean of the school though 🔥🔥

I read Men Who Yearn right after Boys Who Hunt and found it very short. It’s a dark prelude focusing on the grandfather of Silas Rivera, adding some intriguing backstory. However, it left me wanting more, especially about whether they stay apart or not.

The disturbing content fits Clarissa Wild’s usual style, but this felt more like a teaser than a complete story. While it adds depth to the series, it doesn’t fully satisfy on its own. If you’re into Boys Who Hunt, it’s worth a quick read for the extra context.
