In the sterile halls of Ravencliff Sanatorium, two minds are about to collide in a dangerous dance of sanity and madness.
Alexa Reid, a psychology student with hidden depths, steps into the lair of patient 472. Her mission: to observe and analyze. But as she peers into the abyss of Knox Everhart's fractured psyche, she feels the abyss staring back.
Knox Everhart - a man of savage beauty and lethal intelligence. Eyes that could freeze blood or ignite desire, a body honed to lethal perfection - he is temptation and danger incarnate. His mind is a labyrinth of dark desires and murderous impulses, carefully hidden behind a mask of cold indifference. As Lexi delves deeper into his twisted world, the lines between observer and subject begin to blur.
With each session, Lexi finds herself drawn further into Knox's web of manipulation and deceit. Is she unraveling the mysteries of his mind, or is he slowly unraveling her?
Who will emerge victorious in this battle of wits - the student or the psychopath? And at what cost to their souls?
Sometimes the most dangerous place to be is inside your own mind…
Okay. So basically I listened to this book on Spotify. I honestly enjoyed it at first. There were a few things about it that annoyed me but it was addicting and I kept listening. Then I get to the ending. I’m honestly kind of pissed. So much had happened and one second I was confused and the next I was just annoyed. Also she cannot make up her mind for the life of her. One second she hates him the next she likes him. I guess I sort of understood sometimes. But there were just certain scenes that were unnecessary. And my main thing was the ending. I don’t know if the thing I listened to just like didn’t have the full book. Or if it’s supposed to be a series and ended in a plot twist kind of way. But I couldn’t find anything about it or even find a way to read it other than the audio thing. I was just kind of disappointed. And really confused. I’m hoping I’ll find a way to actually read this book. Or find out more info. But for right now I give it a 2.5 star rating.. I guess I was just a bit disappointed. Because the plot had so much potential 😢

Idk what I just listened to. It got played on my audio book shuffle in the car and it was definitely… interesting. I wouldn’t call it "dark romance", but it was definitely keeping me awake while driving for hours, even tho the audio I got - obviously generated and not read, was pretty… monotonous. lol
Narrator mispronounced so many words and lacked any emotion. They also read every voice the same so it was difficult to distinguish characters at times.
I listened on Spotify. I don't know if the ending is just really confusing. I think spotify didn't have the whole book since it seemed like it just stopped in the middle of it. I enjoyed the book and it's honestly disappointing I couldn't finish it.
