The next books of the series! The Little Demon (Nanomachines Book 3): The First-Grader (Nanomachines Book 4):
I am a grandson, and I have nanomachines inside me. What did you expect?
The surprise appearance of my super-powerful great-grandmother has forced me to change my plans. One word from her is enough to destroy my beloved family! She is strong, my great-grandmother, and feared by many!
But not by me.
For I am Michael Kaiser, and my talent is Adaptation. I’ll show you, old woman, how strong we rugrats can be! Time to get into training!
Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. With full steam ahead after meeting grandma. Michael is serious about protecting his family from all threats foreign and domestic and includes from grandmas, assassins, governments, and even other toddlers. It’s a rollicking good time that never lets up!
This is a story that's very hard to compare because the main character is seen from the eyes of a toddler. The writing in that perspective becomes tiresome with the baby talk and the child's perspective that doesn't fully understand things that an adult reader obviously does, and it's boring for the author to explain it for the sake of the main characters Revelation of that knowledge. Put that aside, and the world building is really quite good. I had hoped the main character would leap ahead in age because I actually like the world the author is created. Overall it's a good story, but it's definitely not for everyone because of the tiresome toddlers take. I liked it enough to want to follow the character into book 3. I hope the author fleshes out the main character's agency better because, it's a lot to handle when the main character really is in control of his own destiny at this point.
I received a review copy of this book. If you liked the first on in this series, you'll love this second one. Michael has to fight for his space, and his grandmother makes sure he knows it. But, as we see, Michael is nothing if not inventive in his solutions to problems, so this entertaining tale of society gone wrong and one lone character trying to fix it is well worth the read.
I thought I would try book 2 even if it wasn’t on Kindle Unlimited. I enjoyed the story but book 2 felt a lot shorter than book 1, and cost nearly the same as my monthly KU subscription. Will need to wait until book 3 is on KU or is cheaper before I read it. Thanks for the story.
Story continued, actor star super hero? The back story gets fleshed out and prepares you for the next book. Read it in one sitting. If you liked the first book you should enjoy the second.
I like how even though he's knows he has a past life and he was already aware before being born that is still really is just a baby by the way he likes things. I want him to learn some spells or something
It's a wild ride. Preschool dynamics, monsters, conspiracies, toddler training for battle. I didn't expect to like the first one as much as I did. This one ups the game. The editing is excellent.
It's getting a little monotonous. The MC's lack of empathy or connection to his family and friends leaves me feeling cold. The evil cannibals are also a bit of a let-down. Why do they do it?
I have loved the first two books. Very creative. The characters are interesting and there is lots of action. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat.
