Hay production is up and it’s selling well across the area.
Bessie, Gwen’s mare, is pregnant and Tom will soon have the first colt added to his stable of horses.
Most important of all, Tom and Gwen have finally decided to tie the knot, especially after a surprise visit from home.
All is looking up for their farm. But trouble is brewing in the guise of Reynard Gliph, who is extending his demesne well beyond League City, even threatening Tom’s home turf.
Don’t miss the latest installment in this fast-paced space opera! Featuring fights, intrigue, and deep space drama, the Star Farmer series is infused with action and thrills. Come on out to the farm and stay a while!
Farmer's Wife is the sixth book in Jaxon Reed's Star Farmer series. It captivated me from the very first page and maintained my interest until the end, with not a dull moment in sight. The action unfolded as I hurried to see how everything happened.
Tom Savage and Gwen are finally ready to tie the knot, but the first thing they need for the wedding is a church—and quickly. No big deal, right? No worries! They have those tiny little bots that can construct the church from the ground up in just one day. Don’t you just love those little bots?
Oh, there's one more thing they need: a preacher. But don't fret; one shows up just in time, along with a group that begins shooting at him. Tom jumps in to help during the shootout. Later, a battle erupts right in the center of town, and this time, the Night Shadow gets involved.
I adore this series; I can’t get enough of it. I’m eagerly anticipating more from this fantastic series—at least I hope there are more on the way. The descriptions make it so easy to picture this world on the frontier planet.
As I've mentioned before, I usually envision the Tom Salvage series as an animation, but this time I also imagined Alan Ritchson from Reacher as Tom. Speaking of Reacher, I'd love to see the Tom Salvage series brought to life on screen!
I highly recommend Farmer’s Wife to all science fiction or space opera fans! Grab your copy of Farmer’s Wife today!
Another book in this entertaining series and the main story is truly about reunions. Not only is the wedding of Tom and Gwen happening, also have the X's and O's popping up to cause trouble as usual. New and old characters also join in the fun, trouble, drama, and of course the wedding planning and its shenanigans. Laughed as usual and was entertained and enjoyed watching it all unfold and see what chaos is occurring for Tom and his friends.
Tom Savage and Gwen Wilder are finally ready to get married! With all the positive things going on around the farm, there is much to celebrate. But as we all know, peace and quiet is only temporary and trouble is always brewing. Where will it come from this time?
I can’t even explain why this is one of my favorite series, but it definitely is. Even if things seem quiet, we know better than to relax because sooner or later, the laughter will burst out as the story moves forward to the next unexpected outbreak! Love it! Prepare yourself for the author’s pulse-pounding fast action ahead as we are taken on another exciting journey in the fight for survival. Even reading about the little black metallic ant’s journey had me ready to spring out of my seat with every page I turned, studying each word to figure out what was about to happen. Ohhhhh, he’s so good at this!
Gwen and Tom plan their wedding and there are a lot of details starting with trying to find a preacher on a frontier world. The bad guys show up and interfere. A great story.
There are so many elements of this book that are delightful. Won't give them away by elaborating. This is not your typical science fiction series by any means.
This installment has more conflict and killing than the previous installment, or perhaps just longer descriptions for the scenes than before. There are other events with less damage and still significant, plus there is a wedding among the chaotic events. Some threads are resolved and some pull the reader into the next installment.

Tom and Gwen officially tie the knot in a wedding in the newly built church in Little York. Surprise wedding guests and the main villain moves from the capital to Little York -- with unexpected results. Excellent editing. Fast read.
In this part of the story, we meet more relatives, we explore some breeding grounds, we meet a preacher, we attend a wedding, and we meet new villians. And more, of course.
The various forces for good and evil will likely soon have yet another showdown.
This series started out good, the storyline was interesting. However it's going in directions that I find disturbing. Child predators, and women being preyed upon by men not a big deal by this author.
Well I red the first 3 books on Kindle Unlimited then turned around and bought the entire Series. I’m enjoying Jaxon’s books as much as I do Laurence Danners.
Religous content slowly creeping in is putting me off the series ,does not make any sense and the bots appearing to follow religion also off putting me off.
I love a wedding! A frontier wedding on Phaeton has so much to be enjoyed - a sand dragon stag, a fugitive parson, city folk invasion and mighty mite bot builders. Tom and Gwen's families are definitely having fun and I had fun 'observing' the antics.
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
