Out of the past comes a danger that can destroy the future.
After years of digging in ancient Egyptian ruins, Dr. James Fleming finds something inexplicable.
Something powerful.
Something that could change the course of civilization.
His initial excitement turns to fear when he learns that unscrupulous people are coming to take it…by whatever means.
Frantic to discover the secret of the artifact before it falls into the wrong hands, Fleming takes a huge risk. He triggers the device. And pays a harsh price that will likely cost him his life.
I’m not typically the target audience for a book like this but I was enamored by the exploration of Egypt through the lense of a sci-fi/fantasy epic. The pacing and the expertise with which Bayan writes is what really captured me and held me throughout the story. I’m not sure if he’s written thrillers before but I absolutely love the way he made me feel like I was reading across multiple genres and I’m interested to see what else he’s done!
Also bring back cool covers this one is actually epic looking and NOT AI whoop
"FOUND" is a clever and captivating time travel novel that transports readers to ancient Egypt during the reign of King Tut. Through the perspective of an archaeologist, the story offers a vivid glimpse into this fascinating historical era. From the very first pages, I was drawn into the well-crafted plot and masterful storytelling.
Packed with action, adventure, and intrigue, this novel weaves thriller elements seamlessly, making it impossible to put down. The characters are well-developed, their dialogue authentic and engaging, while the setting is richly described—offering just enough detail to spark vivid imagery without becoming overwhelming.
Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply love a good story, "FOUND" is a fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable read. Highly recommended!
James Fleming, an archaeological photographer, and his archaeologist girlfriend find a golden disk in an ancient Egyptian midden pit, and he realizes it's more than it appears to be. In a moment of rash experimentation, he finds himself transported back in time to the palaces of King Tut. Trapped in another world, Fleming discovers that the conclusions of archaeologists in his own time are mistaken about what transpired in the Boy King's courts, and he learns the truth about the cult of Aten instituted by King Tut's father.
Well-written and gripping, this intriguing story keeps you "turning" pages right to the very end of the book.
I loved this book. A bit of sci-fi, an amazing closeup look at ancient history and some great characters and action. Very well written with a perfect pace. Living in King Tut's mind sounded really weird, but it worked well. I'll be looking to read more from this author.
A historical sci-fi adventure where an archaeologist time travels into the mind of King Tut and learns the ‘true’ history surrounding his life and death. There’s a lot of action, drama and deceit. The ending was satisfying.
