After leaving home at 18, Noelle, built a successful life as a prominent attorney in Atlanta after cutting ties with her family. Life was going great, and Noelle had no intentions of returning. Until her mother’s annual plea to come home for Christmas came with unusual urgency. Reluctantly, she agrees only to find nothing as she left it.
Her family home is remodeled, her parents are divorced, all courtesy of her eldest brother, Corleone. Her brother seems to be involved in trouble and with a questionable wealth that screams “drug money”, Noelle carefully tries to disassociate herself. However, it becomes hard to do when she finds herself drawn to Corleone’s irresistible, yet rude business partner.
As old wounds resurface and sparks fly, it becomes complicated and hard to avoid the chaos. Noelle must decide if she’s ready to face her family’s messy truths, and her own.
I am still venturing into new territory. This was a first read by this author for me. The storyline was good. It was one part that didn't tickle my fancy too well. Overall, it's a captivating read. Noelle got to start her healing process from her traumatic childhood. Coreleone did an one eighty and straightened up his life. He brought Prospyr along for the come up. Prospyr gained more than a brotherhood and career. He added Noelle so he could live in his happily ever after era. They complemented each other well. Prospyr did something that Big Z did not do. He spoiled Noelle. She got all her wants and needs fulfilled by him. In return, he got her heart.
You would think by the title of this book, it's an ordinary Christmas story. However, it's far from it. You have to purchase the book to read all the jaw-dropping revelations. With that being said, grab your copy today,
This was a really good story. Noelle started off being a stuck-up B word, but she quickly redeemed herself. I loved how Coreleone got her together when she tried to play in his face when he picked her up from the airport. Prospyr got her together as well, and I was here for it. She needed to be checked, and they didn't mind doing it. This book was full of family drama. Big Z wasn't worth a damn. After everything he put both families through, he still didn't take any accountability. Them boys should've been whooping his behind together. The ending through me for a whole loop. I definitely didn't see that coming at all. I would've loved to see Noelle and her mom have a one on one conversation where her mom apologizes for how she treated her growing up. I loved that she had that moment with Coreleone, though. The epilogue had me smiling.. I'm glad that Noelle got the love she deserved in Prospyr.
Noelle worked my nerves! I get that 10 years ago her family wasn't worth a d*mn but she needed to remember that her siblings were treated terribly too. Her assuming all her brothers were criminals and Prospyr was a scammer. I'm glad Corleone got her a** together, that's his baby but get her mind right. Elle need to go sit on that lady couch again!
As for them parents, No ma'am. Her mother treated them like sh*t over a man, only to later find out he was married and she was a side chick. THAT'S when she decides to want to be a better mother/woman. No sympathy for her. Big Z can go where its hot & he'll burn!!!!!
Prospyr was HIM! From Big coat to his wife. The way he loves and protects Noelle makes my heart smile. Corleoneeeeee is my favorite! The growth and love that man has for his family!!

I love how this story was a quick read but still packed with juicy storytelling and a strong message about family. It showed how therapy can help with trauma, accountability, and forgiveness, which I really appreciated. I’m sad my girl Molly never got a real shot at new love, but she did get her family back together, so I’ll take that win for her.
The title definitely had me thinking the story was going in a different direction, but overall it was a really good love story.
This is my first read by this author and I am loving this introduction. The characters in this book kept me in stitches. Prosper is my new book bae. He is so dang funny and such a man. Definitely that dose of BDE every reader needs in their life. I love the way the author explored an imperfect family dynamic in a way that allowed you to explore the emotions of every player without judgment. You should one click this read.
This Christmas book was unlike any I have ever read. I was unprepared for the plot twist, and I am uncertain whether it was well-received, as it abruptly detracted from the Christmas spirit. While I found the book somewhat predictable, the storyline was realistic and somewhat chaotic. Overall, it was a decent read.
I love a story that gives a little bit of everything . We have trauma, trust issues and trust building, we drama good and bad !! You get a full journey in this story and I really like and love always makes it
That ending that ending!! Baybay, I'm a wreck. This was very good. From beginning to end. I felt all the emotions and didn't expect to feel all the ones I did. This was a surprising tale and I truly enjoyed it
This was a cute book. I love how the older brother showed up for his sister… The dad really need to be under the jail for what he put those kids through.
I picked this up during BRAE and it was my first holiday read for 2025. I was expecting to be all into Noelle and Prospyr's story but Noelle's parents story took the cake. Whoo they were something! This story definitely had a twist I was not expecting. I enjoyed it.
