Veronica Salt loves working at Mystical Matchmakers. Her abilities as an empath come from her diluted fae heritage and they make her very good at her job. Unfortunately, her gifts also make it difficult to find a match of her own—something she yearns for.
Jasper Bayat joins Mystical Matchmakers to find a date for his brother’s wedding, but he never expects to find his perfect match as soon as he walks in the door. According to his father, he would know the woman meant for him at first sight, but Jasper never believed him.
Until he meets Veronica.
Flirting and being direct get him nowhere with the shy woman, but Jasper isn’t going to give up. Even if it means blackmailing her into being his fake date for his brother’s wedding…and doing everything he can to convince her to make their relationship the real deal.
Mystical Matchmakers…find the paranormal romance you’ve been searching for.
Born and raised in Texas, C.C. Wood writes saucy paranormal and contemporary romances featuring strong, sassy women and the men that love them. If you ever meet C.C. in person, keep in mind that many of her characters are based on people she knows, so anything you say or do is likely to end up in a book one day.
A self-professed hermit, C.C. loves to stay home, where she reads, writes, cooks, and watches TV. She can usually be found drinking coffee or wine as she spends time with her hubby, daughter, and two beagles.
I loved Djinn in Love Book 4 of Mystical Matchmakers. Jasper joined the Mystical Matchmakers to find a date for his brothers wedding but meeting Veronica was all it took. He went on a few dates but he just wanted her, he asked her out multiple times but she kept saying no, not because she didn’t want to but because she shouldn’t. Unfortunately, Jasper is tired of her no’s and he’s going to do whatever it takes to get that yes. He charms her and they are haven’t a wonderful time with his family but there is a few problems and one isn’t taking no for an answer. I loved the story and the characters. I love that he takes care of her. I would definitely recommend this book.

This was a fun and quick read! I’ve really come to enjoy CC’s books and always look forward to reading them. I loved both Jasper and Veronica and loved how he was instantly hooked on her. He knew from the start she was his! This was the first in the series I’ve read and now I want to go back and read the others! I would’ve liked it being told in first person pov from both characters, but I still enjoyed it!
What a fun and quirky paranormal read about finding love at first sight. Ok well maybe one of them knew right away. The other one would take some patience to get there. Throw in some fun family members and a unique boss and live got a story that's hard to put down until the last page has been read.
Veronica works at a matchmaking agency that caters to those with supernatural abilities. Jasper needs a date for his brother's wedding, so he has paid for matchmaking services to help him. Tropes: Supernatural/Paranormal, love at first sight, only one bed, fake relationship, he falls first, cinnamon roll alpha hero, OTT instalove HEA romance.
A huge thank you to C. C. Wood and Booksprout for providing me with an eARC book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
He always scoffed when his father told him about knowing "the One" when he first saw her until it happened to him.
Jasper Bayat just wanted a date for his brother's wedding, not a wife. But as soon as he laid eyes on her, he knew he wanted her as his mate rather than his matchmaker. He's been on three dates this week. On paper, tonight's date was perfect, but she bored him. She even beat him to the punch, telling him this just won't work, but it was nice meeting him.
Veronica Salt works at Mystical Matchmakers. She's an empath, which usually helps her make matches. That came to a screeching halt with Jasper.
His mother has some wild idea that he suddenly needs a woman in his life. Actually, she wants him getting married just like his brother. She insisted that he have a date for the wedding. She even offered to introduce him to a friend's daughter. That was a quick and resounding no! The trouble is that she thinks he needs a woman who is like her: independent, bossy, and outspoken. Since those words describe him, a match with someone like him would result in too much headbutting. He needs a mate who can calm the chaos in his mind, not add to it. That describes Veronica to a T. His father had told him that he'd recognize the one fated for him when he first met her. He didn't believe it until he shook hands with Veronica.
Veronica learned at an early age that, as a half-fae, half-human empath, she wasn't wanted by either humans or supernatural beings. She'd taken the job at Mystical Matchmakers because she was so lonely and craved interactions with other beings. She can't believe that Dominique, the owner, offered to refund Jasper's membership fees if she doesn't want to go, but she even offered to allow her to attend the four day wedding celebration as his date. Dating clients is off-limits! She and Jasper are to meet tonight at an Italian restaurant not far from her work. It's one of her favorite places to dine, but the prices don't allow her to eat there too often. She'll tell him over dinner that she's an empath. When he rejects her, as she knows he will, at least she will have had an excellent dinner and dessert.
Jasper didn't want to stop seeing her. She has no idea that he already knows she's the one for him. But it doesn't take long for her to realize how he goes out of his way to protect her. He pays attention to everything she says and surprises her often with acts of kindness. Before long, she feels safe with him: even safer than she does with her own parents. But how will his family feel about her, especially when they learn she's an empath?

Jasper Bayat was on his third date in a week, trying to find someone to take to his brother’s upcoming wedding. The woman was exactly what wanted when he signed up at Mystical Matchmakers 5 weeks ago. But the truth is, the date failed because she bored him. His mind kept going back to Veronica Salt. Veronica is an empath who works for Mystical Matchmakers and is very good at her job. Jasper is convinced she is the one he should actually match up with, she is the one he responds to, but she told him clients were off-limits to her. When he had touched her hand, his thoughts slowed and calmed, giving him the peace he craves. He has a week to find a date for the four-day wedding event, and it’s not looking good. So he decided to come up with a plan. He saw a man wink at Veronica and the fire of the djinn that burned within him wanted to turn the man into a toad! Seemingly aware of his situation, Dominique Proxa, the owner of Mystical Matchmakers, asked to talk to him. He told her he preferred dealing with Veronica, so Veronica led him to the conference room. He needs to give his brother his date’s name now for the wedding planner. His mother’s interference was making this even more difficult. They discussed some options and hoped Dominique would work something out for him.
Jasper is very loving, sweet, and protective of Veronica and is determined to show her that he truly wants her in his life. Dominique seemed to understand that and gave Veronica permission to be his date. There is no one else he wanted to date. She is perfect for him. Will he convince her that his feelings are real? Will she give him a chance to prove it to her?
Djinn in Love was another fun entry in the Mystical Matchmakers series, this time featuring Jasper, a fiery djinn and successful businessman who needs a date for his brother's wedding to escape being set up endlessly by his interfering mom, and Veronica, one of the matchmakers at the agency.
Jasper knows within a few minutes of laying eyes on Veronica that she's the right one for him, now he just has to convince her of that fact. Oh, and there's the pesky complication of her not willing to break her professional ethics by dating a client, plus, she's a shy empath whose previous relationships have fizzled out because the guys couldn't handle her being able to sense their emotions.
Jasper is sweet and protective of Veronica right from the start. He's all in and wants nothing more than to show her he means it and that he will stand up to anyone, including his meddling family, for her. Throw in the "only one bed" trope and you have a quick, sweet, hot romance. I would have liked to have seen a bit more magical elements, but otherwise I totally enjoyed this. When I began reading this i almost dnf it right away because the introduction to the main characters begins with the MMC manipulating the FMC to go on a weekend trip with him with blackmail (they literally call it just that). Not only that it felt very rushed into to the story. That may be because I haven't read the other books in this series but something to keep in mind if you start in the middle like I did.
The base story is this book is cute and to the point. It's a "He falls first", "love at first sight", trope story.
Despite the main characters being a magical empath and a dijinn this feels like a very low fantasy book. The MMC's powers don't really come into play until nearly end of the book for only one scene. Other than that it's just a few mentions of him running hot and healing quickly.
TLDR: I want a fan of the manipulation at the beginning but after that it was a cute feel good romance with some spicy scenes thrown in.

We are sill following the Magical Matchmaking service but this time, we get to see more about one of the employees that we have seen glimpses of since the first book. This book can be read as a stand alone, as all of them can.
Veronica is an empath so she often get overwhelmed by other peoples emotions. When she meets Jasper, so is concerned that his fiery personality would be to difficult of her to deal with on a daily basis.
As the couple get to know one another and there is a great deal of banter and humor that made the book enjoyable. Each character learns and grows and their journey was a fun quick read.
I would have like a little more time on the page with them that didn't deal with the wedding weekend. Most of the book took place over just a few days and I would have liked more time with them after the wedding was over.
Overall I really enjoyed the book and I look forward to the next in the series.

Veronica is an empath who works at Mystical Matchmakers helping others find true love. Personally, finding love has been a challenge as an empath. When a new client comes in needing help, the last thing she expects is for him to want her! She has to keep professional and past failures in relationships are hard to overcome.
Jasper needs a date and enlists the help of the Mystical Matchmakers. He never expected to find his mate among the staff! Veronica is his true mate but she’s reserved and shy with him. He has compassion for her as an empath, but he’s determined to get what he wants. Jasper is willing to do anything where his mate’s concerned!
This was a sweet romance between two very different personalities. One being shy and timid, the other fierce and determined. They compliment each other nicely and the pursuit in this read was great! Really enjoyed this one!

Djinn in Love is a fantastic read. I loved this one so much. If you haven't had a chance to read the Mystical Matchmakers series yet you need to. I could not put this down. Jasper can come off intense but he knows what he wants. Jasper knew he wanted Veronica. Veronica first comes off as reserved but when you learn if her abilities you know why. I love how she tries to fight her attraction and Jasper wears her down. The chemistry build is amazing. I just love how caring and careful Jasper is with Veronica as he learns she's an empath. Veronicas confidence just grows the closer she gets to Jasper. They are the perfect match. Jasper and Veronica have amazing banter and spice that will leave you glued to the pages. I cannot wait for more to come in the Mystical Matchmakers series. Go one click this today.
I loved this book and it far exceeded my expectations ❤️ this book centres around Jasper. He is a Fire Djinn, desperately looking for a date to his brothers upcoming wedding. His family are pushing him to settle down and he can't deal with the attention he will get if he goes alone. He goes to a matchmaking service hoping to find someone he can stand for a weekend, but he is blown away when his eyes meet the receptionist Veronica. Sparks fly between them but she is cagey and he will have to fight for her to return his affections. She is hiding something and he will stop at nothing to find out everything about the mysterious woman! Brilliant book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading x.

Wow what a story! Another incredible book by this amazing author. I think this is now one of my fave books by C.C Wood. I was gripped from the start by Veronica and Jasper’s chemistry and the way he cares for her, swoon! I think we all need a Jasper in our lives. Being a shy, empathetic person myself I really related to Veronica’s feelings about certain situations. Loved the twists and the links to the other Devil Springs books series. I hope we get to see more of this couple in future books because I absolutely love them! And that ending has left me so excited for what comes next!.

3.5 stars!!! Cute love at first sight paranormal book!! This is a stand alone in the series, but it made me want to check out the other books! The ending definitely made me want more!! Ended on a cliffhanger, but not a bad one, and Veronica and Jasper got their HEA with possibly more of them to come! The cliffhanger is the continuation of the couple for the next book-which I need to read!!
I loved the family dynamics of Jasper’s family, and how accepting they all were of Veronica! Jasper was very caring and devoted to Veronica’s needs! Loved seeing them gravitate towards each other!!
Thank you to the author and Booksprout for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!!
I enjoyed this story. I liked that he fell first. Her being an empath was intriguing & put a different spin on the story. I liked her quips comments. Him being a djinn didn’t seem like a focal point of the story, though. I didn’t even know what his magic made him able to do until 3 chapters before the end of the book. I would have liked if it was integrated more. Other than that, I really liked it. It was fun, spicy and gave us a HFN ending.

I found myself laughing and sighing throughout this book. I definitely fell in love with Jasper and how sweet, sexy, and so caring about Veronica and her needs as an empathetic. I found myself belly laughing at the interactions of Jasper’s family. I could identify with Veronica as she had trouble believing that Jasper was truly wanting to be with her and didn’t find her empath ability as such a trial as her previous boyfriends did. Couldn’t put this book down!.

This was a new series for me and I started it with the 4th book lol. I was hooked by the teaser and couldn't wait to get my hands on it.
We have two opposing characters, plus he's a djinn and she's a mix of empath and fae. He comes to Mystical Matchmakers looking for a fake date for his brother's wedding and finds his match, the only problem is she's part of the agency and not his date.
For me this was a fun quick read that was sweet and hot.

I absolutely fall in love with the characters of C. C. Wood's worlds. This book is no exception there. She gets you so invested in what's happening that you can't wait to turn the page. I love the way she develops her world and makes you feel like you are there and can see it and experience it in your mind. I can't wait to catch the next book.

Not the usual supernatural romance story which makes this stand out. Veronica works at the Mystical Matchmaker agency and tries to match a client so he can take them to his brother's wedding. Jasper is a Djinn and as soon as he sees Veronica at the agency he knows she is his one. Their road to HEA is entertaining and a must-read.

I love Veronica and am thrilled she got her own book. Jasper is the definition of swoonworthy. He is incredibly considerate and thoughtful of Veronica and her needs. He's definitely an alpha with a heart. His family is hilarious, too. The incident with the pullout bed had me cackeling. He is perfect for her. I loved this book. Can't wait for the next one!
I've never read anything by this author until after I won this ARC of the book in the author's giveaway not Goodreads giveaway, but I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward reading a print copy of this book because something tells me I will like the physical copy better because I usually do I recommend this book and will read again in the future hopefully in print
This is a fun short read. the relationship between these two had me turning pages, needing to know what is next! An Empath and a Djinn make for a great couple that kept me invested from beginning to end! A Great Story! I Loved It!!! No Spoilers! I Recommend!.

Djinn in Love Book 4 of Mystical Matchmakers by C.C. Wood is Jasper and Veronica's story and a wonderfully fun and romantic addition to the series, truly opposites attract in this case and so sweetly. I really enjoyed this book.

This is such a cute paranormal love story. Jasper is fiery and gets angry very easily. Veronica helps calm him down and makes him feel whole. They have a difference of opinion on love but come together in the end. I recommend this to all paranormal romance readers.
