" Echoes of the Forgotten Realm" is a spellbinding journey into a world where magic pulses through the air and danger lurks in every shadow. Alyssa never asked to be a hero. One moment she was fleeing through the rain-soaked streets of her city; the next, she stepped through a mysterious door into Veridia—a realm of griffins, sorceresses, and ancient prophecies.
Torn from the life she knew, Alyssa must confront her deepest fears and uncover her hidden power to stand against an ancient darkness threatening to consume both worlds. With the fate of Veridia—and her own future—hanging in the balance, Alyssa embarks on a journey of self-discovery, courage, and magic. As her strength grows, so does the shadow of a mysterious enemy tied to her past.
Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Leigh Bardugo, " Echoes of the Forgotten Realm" is an epic tale of resilience, love, and the fight to find one’s true self in the face of overwhelming odds.
I won this Title in a Goodreads Giveaway. Well I always give an honest opinion. First off I am not familiar with these authors so I can't say if the format of this book is written this way for a reason or if I got just a bad e-copy of this book. However the format of the writing in this copy is annoying as heck. I couldn't stand it. The story itself is amazing and has so much potential. But the authors didn't rise to the occasion. First of all the first 4 chapters are nothing but repetitive prose of the main characters doubt of herself. The self doubt, her weakness, how they've gotten the wrong person for the job. Ok I get it she has self doubts, but that could have been covered In the first chapter. Not 4 copy cat chapters. There could have been 3 more chapters of creative imagination of the story at hand. Second of all the last 10 pages are identical in Every chapter. First set of 5 pages reads one way, the last set of 5 pages say the exact same thing just with slight re-wording. It was a total waste of time and a waste of space for more creative writing. It was like the end of chapters had a re-write edit without the edited pages being removed at all. IN EVERY CHAPTER. Third thing is the small group assisting the Main character on her destiny, through some of the first part of the book are named Eryndor, Aisling, and Brynn. In the middle of the book their names change to Eldrin,Seraphine, and Rylan. If there were a second band of people to change out with the first, Fine and dandy. However no where during the story does it say one thing about a group change to describe why the name changes have occurred. No explanation whatsoever. Also in a few chapters the first character goes from Eldrin back to Eryndor. While none of the other new names change back at all. Confusing as heck is what it all is. The story itself could have been an amazing book. The formatting was utter chaos. It was so bad it makes me want to not ever read these authors again. You can read it and make your own opinion. My opinion in the matter is do not waste your time.
