Capri 3.5

When Meer saw me off at the airport, I never expected to come home and become his wife. His daughter becoming mine. Our lives intertwining into one. I didn’t think I was worthy of being loved the way this man has loved me. Worthy of a man telling me how’s he coming behind me and actually standing on that. He loves and accepts all parts of me. Our families have become one because of our love.
For every good thing in my life there’s always a bad thing lurking.
Death. Dishonor. Redemption?
We’re in the end game now.

I took my sweet time on the finale because I have attachment issues guys🤣

Sheesh I gotta type this review! The ride I’ve been on with the Delgato series has been nothing but a rollercoaster ! It’s so bittersweet to be reading the final book for the Delgato siblings omggggg🥹

Capri was by far my fav book out of the siblings without a DOUBT. Not only because me and Capri are around the same age but BIG PRI GOT WHAT SHE DESERVED AND SOME! MEER CAT I LOVE YOU FOR MY GIRLLLLLLL!

It’s so much more I could say but imma leave the review at this; I pray everyone could experience the love within sisterhood, brotherhood, romance, etc like how Jahquel showed in her Delgato series. Imma miss gang and nem.

FUCK YOU MEANNNNNNNNNN

Overall was this a good series for sure, did the author intrigue you enough to want to know about other characters mentioned FOR SURE. The reason I can’t rate it higher is because this was less about Capri & Quameer and more about the family. I’m sorry I said it before I’ll say it again as an author when you say let Capri be Capri and then spend 3+ books chatting about Aimee and Capella in depth YOU LOSE ME. Like was they situation at lil interesting yes but this not what we here for. I felt for Aimee and Capella but the whole perpetually victim thing while making poor choices every book was CRAZZZZZY. I felt like we needed to see Capri at work more, her working on herself more something to solidify that the time a way is what helped her transform. Being loved by quameer was the high point of her life and it was nice to see her be loved forreal but I just felt like her actual self improvement just fell flat. I also don’t get why tookie was left alive but….

This is the first book of this series that I DNF'd and I'm really sad about it. I could not wait to start and finish all the other books in this series, but for this one, it dragged a lot. In the other books, I actually loved that there was so much going on; it felt like a soap opera. But for Capri 3.5, there was just too much going and it wasn't central to the plot.

Part of what ruined this story for me was Core's proximity to Skyler. I just can't wrap my mind around why a 35-year-old man wants to make a 20-year-old a sister wife. That is weird and I can't pretend like it's not. Also, I've never liked Meer's character. He's overly aggressive and it's a turnoff. The point was belabored about Capella being physical with Aimee, but Meer actively hates his ex and wants to off the mother of his child. How is that any better?

But what really made me just say that I'm done with this book is the Tasha scene towards the end. I know this is a work of fiction, but Alaia trying to be this Thug Misses -- her and Capri -- who is a pregnant assistant DA... I'm sorry but I just can't. What happened to their characters? Joy was one of my favorites but now she's Ms. Knuck if You Buck, and that's just such a drastic departure from who she was previously. Hopefully, the Menace book can recapture what was lost with this series because, respectfully, this wasn't it.

Amazing close to Capri!

What a journey that I’m sad is over! I wasn’t the biggest supporter of Capri in Capone and Cappadonna, but Jahquel made a liar out of me with Capri’s character development. Capri was a crucial part of the story, and her connections growth gave life to the delgaato’s family saga. Quameer was always the end game, which became clear in Capri 1 and the end of Capp’s book. Their history, love, and friendship were so beautiful on those pages! Quameer stood 10 toes behind Capri and opened his heart fully to her! I loved seeing him open up to even us, the reader, throughout this story and explain his family dynamic and connection to Brandi. Quameer and Capri did all the above while saving Capp and Capo and handling the CVs. Now, the CVs aren’t done, but that’s for Blair and Quasim to resolve, and whewwww Blair has so much going on that will shock everyone! Fantastic read and I definitely recommend this series!

I literally had to force myself to read this. It was underwhelming and cringey. For this to have been Capri’s story, it was overshadowed by all the characters that were featured. Also, the storylines made no sense.

I really despite how much kids are referred to as “seeds.”

This may have been my last book from this author.

Im still debating on giving this book 4⭐️s
I still feel the same way I felt from the beginning,
Capella and Aimee need their own book with everything they have going on .
I did like certain parts of Capri’s story especially the delivery of baby Inferno. I enjoyed the family aspect of the story as well as all the support Capri received after holding her family down for so long . I still feel like her story wasn’t necessarily focused on her and Meer.
Im trying to stick the series out cause I didn’t know about Blair and Tookie 🤦🏽‍♀️

Update: I reread this again before Quasim dropped. While I enjoyed this series, I still feel the same way about Capella and Aimee. So my review would be 3.5 ⭐️s

I don't know how people made it through FOURTEEN books of the same thing and aren't over it yet.

There was a really good story here, but the writing had too many issues.

Story structure - At the end of Cappadonna, I was under the impression that the main plot of Capri's series was taking Morgan down. That was lost in everything else going on and ended up feeling like an afterthought. At one point, I forgot why we were even in Monte Carlo and what Morgan's actual job title was. I'm thinking Morgan was dirty AF and he's out here scheming to build a bogus case that would put the twins away, but we never got into what Morgan was really up to other than working with the Chrome Vipers and assaulting women. We do find out that locking up Des and Capadonna was payback. Okay, he got Des put away, but what was the purpose of going after the twins?? What was he planning on doing next? Again, this felt like an afterthought, and none of it made sense.

Capri was supposed to be the key figure in taking Morgan down. From the start, Forty's like "We're gonna get Capri in the DA's office, she's our secret weapon!" Everyone was concerned for Capri's well-being, but Capri's role was minimal. When had she ever been in real danger while going undercover, other than the shootout at the party (and even then, they were going after Morgan, not Capri)? All she did was plant cameras in Morgan's library. There were so many missed opportunities here. Why not have the girls do more spying and detective work, instead of the quick moments we got? In previous books, Forty told Capri a couple of times that things were happening behind the scenes she wasn't aware of, but what were they??? Core and Aimee found the flash drives and laptop, and they sent the news bulletins out at the party. The buildup compared to how it played out was blah!

Bad grammar - The grammatical errors bothered me. I'm not talking about AAVE, but the sentence structuring and bad writing. There were times we were jumping right into a scene without context (and MORE new characters), and I'm like, what’s going on? There could be a conversation going on where I didn't know who was speaking.

There were too many recurrences of sentences, one right after the other, saying the same thing. It got very annoying and made the book hard to read.

For example:
"Rory was still young, and we were figuring out how to be parents. Aside from his diagnosis, we were still figuring this parenting shit out."

Jahquel does this ALOT. A good editor would have helped fix all of this.

By the end, I was tired of the words seed, swagger, crave, and pressure.

Bad character development - This was supposed to be Capri’s season, but it didn’t feel like it. We got way too much of Capella/Chubs and Aimee. Capella's (why did we stop using Chubs?) character has completely changed. He's putting his hands on women now?? That was weird. Aimee is a ditz one minute and then a genius computer hacker the next. Alaia's progression is not realistic for someone who's been through YEARS of abuse and mental trauma. I think Capone 1 to Capri 3 covers about three years. Frail and timid Alaia was with Cappadonna for a couple of months, is now healed, and turned into Ms. Billy Badass??? Cappadonna, one of my favorite characters, but he now has the fatherly insight of a 60 year old man???

Capri spent a year away to heal and find herself, so why didn’t her first book cover her journey? I think it’s pointless to mention something like that without going in depth about it. By Capri 3.5 she still doesn't seem all that different. The main characters we’ve been reading about from season one were beginning to feel like different people, except for Capone, Jaiden, and Erin.

We were off to a good start with Capone. Cappadonna and Capri had the makings of a good story, but the focus gets lost too easily with too much time spent on side stories that were irrelevant to what I thought was supposed to be the main story. I understand that Jahquel is doing this as a way to introduce new books and keep the universe going, but sometimes enough is enough, especially when it’s not being executed well. Too many new characters are thrown in and not brought up again until far down the line, so you forget about them. Then there's a repeat of the same events and all of this became boring to me. There's gonna be a party, a chase/shootout, a pregnancy, and a wedding. I was excited for Quasim and 10,000 Hours with a Rich Menace, but I'm good.

A good conclusion to Capri’s season but…

With this conclusion to Capri’s season, I somehow didn’t feel as locked in as I did with the other books in the season. Yes, all the happenings with Capri undercover as an ADA to get at big bad Morgan, and Aimee and Capella’s drama, and the set up for the Inferno gods season with Quasim and Blair were resolved but somehow I had to keep dragging myself back into this when I put it down. One reason for this is that there’s a lot of expansion in this book of the character base so sometimes I felt a little lost about who was who and how they connected. I think the introduction of these characters is probably to set up the IG season but it was distracting and we might be getting to the point of needing a character map/legend to keep track of everyone. The second reason why I might have found this less compelling is that the fight/shoot em up scenes were too long and I couldn’t picture them because my main thought was why didn’t the Chrome Vipers just try to take out the IG riders, why focus on those in the car rather than the riders protecting them first. I don’t claim to know anything about gun battles but I just couldn’t picture what was happening and why and I think too much time was spent choreographing them.

All of this said, Capri was a fantastic Delgato season as a whole- definitely my favourite season so far even though this particular book wasn’t my favourite of the season. But saying that, this is essential reading and the multiple epilogues/ending chapters will have you “awwww”-ing and cheesing.

Updating this review to be more in depth, cause i wrote the initial one in shock on my phone right when i finished LMAO.

...I'm disappointed. While I loved the first half of Capri, the last two parts almost didn't even fit in to where the story felt like it should have gone. The whole Monaco/Morgan plotline was choppy and made no sense. While Jahquel said Capri's story is her own and she is her own person, Cappadonna and Capone would NEVAAAAAA. All this just to shoot someone??? Are we serious? No torture, no dragging it out...no nothing? Boooooooo

Then for Tasha to get off so easily too? Huh? It just seemed rushed and like a bunch of nothing. It just felt like Capri had no character growth whatsoever by the end of this, while everyone around her was changing. Also Rayce.......? Theres only so much I can take. The entire time i was just trying to get through this so I could get to Quasim and Blair lmao.

To go from the end of the first Capri book and capri 2 to this was...a choice. It just felt so...ehhhh.

No. Immediately no I'm sorry 😭. THATS ALL MORGAN AND TASHA GOT???? THATS IT???? All that build up for absolutely nothing??? Bye. No hang it up 😭!!!!! There is just no wayyyyyyyyyyyy WHATTTTTT????

Whew this was a ride. It took me forever to finish because it was so repetitive and Capri’s lack of growth was beyond frustrating. I really wanted to see her step more into her role as a lawyer, but instead every other page was about how grateful she is for Meer, how he’s a hero, and how Jean stays on her case. She took a year off and still came back with everything revolving around a man. On top of that, Aimee and Capella’s messy relationship kept stealing the spotlight. Aimee was absolutely wrong but cheating and abuse can’t ever be justified. Then there’s Core who spent half the time saying Skyler was too young and the other half trying to make her a sister wife. Please.

And from the looks of it, Season 4 is just going to be Blair chasing Quasim. I don’t think I have the energy for that😭

Alright, so this is my overall review for the entire series.

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love Suga and Meer Cat's story. I love how he loves and protects her. I love how he finally put Nahiem on his a** and how he demanded respect for their relationship from her brothers. The Delgato brothers may be unhinged, but they are no match for Blaze and Sim. Period. Peach was absolutely adorable regardless of her momma being a waterhead b-word. There were moments that I honestly LOL'd, and my husband was looking at me like I was crazy. Capone started off as my favorite, and much as I love Meer cat, I gotta say that Goon stole the show for me the way he was wearing down Ms. Lawyer. All of this is why season three gained 3 stars from me.

Now, let's get into the cons. Baby, this series was repetitive asf. Like, there are only so many ways you can tell us that they love one another. That Aimee messed up. Jean was hard on Big Pri. So on and so forth. We get it.

Many of the "surprise" factors of this series just fell short for me and did not hit like Ms. Jah intended it to. Especially the reasoning as to why Morgan had it out for the twins. Or the "twist" that Martin was gay and he was behind this whole thing from the beginning. Very much, meh. There were too many connections going on, and the introduction of way too many characters.

Speaking of too many characters ... I absolutely HATED the multiple POVs. Like this is Capri's story, and I just felt like there wasn't enough poured into my girl. Idc about Aimee and Baby Capp. Core's storyline was unnecessary and very cringe. Honestly, when it came to his chapters, I skipped over them. Especially once it got into the whole sister wife with a 20 year old and he's 35. Yeah, it gave very much predatory if you ask me. Hated Menace's character and definitely not interested in his book. (Everyone doesn't need their own book, Jah)

Now, when it comes to Tasha crusty wig wearing a**, her death was very anticlimactic. Like with all of the B.S. she pulled, I was expecting a nice torture. Remove her fingernails one by one. Clip pieces of her tongue off a little bit at a time. Give her small cuts across her body and allow her to bleed out slowly. Or maybe I'm the unhinged one. I was not satisfied with her quick and painless death.

Outside of the dialogue being repetitive, a lot of it was super cringe. The sentence structure was horrible, and the mistakes stood out like a sore thumb. I understand that when it comes to writing, there are going to be mistakes, but my love, that's what your editor is for, and it seems as if they just continued to fail her. The transitions between scenes were confusing, and I often got lost in who was saying what. Also, as someone who's lived the street life before (not to their extent), I found myself rolling my eyes a lot.

As writers, we must realize that less is more and too much can be overwhelming. The plot was there, and the characters were intriguing, but she dropped the ball along the way. I wanted to see growth not only with Pri and Meer together but also individually, and I feel as if she didn't give us that. Don't get me wrong, I will finish the Delgato and Inferno series because I do like them, but I think after that, I don't plan on reading anything else by this author.

All 3 seasons of the Delgato universe were so much fun! I’m going to miss hanging out with the Delgatos and now Infernos each day. Jah wrapped Capri’s story perfectly. She has me hooked and I will read anything she writes connected to the Delgato Universe. She wrote beautiful love stories, heart wrenching tales of family dysfunction and hardship, but also people persevering through death and illness plus the joy and peace a loving, supportive family can offer. Jahquel gave us protective, emotionally present MMCs and nurturing, gun toting FMCs. And also sprinkled in MC clubs, high speed chases, hackers, shoot outs and being folded up by a man whispering Portuguese in your ear. My, my, my! It was such a wild, satisfying ride!

Beautiful ending to a book.

Man, this series had me in a CHOKEHOLD for like 10 days? I finished all of them so far and may or may not start on Quasim's book next. I almost feel like I need a break because that was a lot. The drama, the heartache, the beautiful moments, the humor, the actionnnnn. This was one of the best series I've read. Through and through. I know Quasim's book is part of this world, but that feels like a transition to a new family so I'm treating this as a series within itself.

The only thing that bothered me a bit about book 3 is the editing. Commas where they were not supposed to be, misspelled words, etc. Did that stop me from reading? No. Was it bad enough that it distracted me too much? No. But I did notice it and feel the need to mention it.

Now for my character breakdown:

Aimee. My girl. I'm so happy that she has found a family and is coming into her own. She needs and deserves it. She's a true ride or die. She needed guidance, and she is getting it. I'm happy she has the Inferno and Delgato girls, +Skyler

Baby Capp. Same sentiment. I'm happy he has Jaiden. Him and Aimee need therapy, and I'm glad you see how self control and love can really shape someone's outcome here. They were both handed the WOSRT cards and it came back around to create something beautiful. [Also... Stacy, or whatever her name is.. nasty for lying about a baby]

Brandi. Tasha. You get nothing from me.

Jaiden. I hurt for him. He gains and he loses. I want to see him win. I'm happy he realized that this life isn't for him and NO ONE forgets that this all began because of poverty. Once you reach the goal, you give it up. Not condoning it obv, but I liked that this sentiment was there.

Capri. Oh my girl. So much pain and so much hurt. The mother and father wounds throughout this book are astounding, but the MOTHER WOUNDS?!! Moms!!! Get it together. I'm so happy that Mama Jean realized her mistake and went to fix it. It was the right, mature and loving thing to do.

Core. I look forward to seeing more of you and your relationship. I'm interested. This is interesting. Geeky hood boy.

Quameer. Forever and always.

Quasim & Blair. I am excited to see where this goes, but honestly I am more excited to see the dialogue between them about their past hurts. To see them get healing in the deepest of places because that bathroom scene with Quasim when Quameer came in broke my heart.

Cappadonna. BIG Capp. He has to be my favorite. Him and Menace have to be cousins or something. They're literally insaaaaaaane. I love that for me.

Capone. Capone Capone Capone. The guilt he has for making mistakes is heartbreaking but I trust Erin and him will work through it.

Erin & Alaia. RIDE OUT!!! That's what I mean when I say bestfriendddsssss.

Desmond and Mama Jean got secrets and I need to know them. Like who is Elena?! We just gonna skip over that?

100 ⭐️ and a standing ovation for this masterpiece!

our girl finally got her happy ending! i am so in love with the delgato's & inferno's, i can't believe it's finished! sis is keenly waiting for quasim and blair's books <333

our suga cane and meer cat will forever and always have my whole heart. at the beginning of this season, we saw capri needing to go away and discover who she was after a failed marriage with naheim - and now, she is happily married to her soulmate and new mother to their peach ryder and baby rayce-ann!! meer has shown her the soft love that she has been craving, and reading their story, i honestly just cannot get enough!

honestly, the found family across the last 3 seasons always brings me joy, i love them all so much!

now, the unorthodox (imo) situation with core, skyler and jeffie - i am so here for it! i didn't think this would be my cup of tea, but reading their little cameos in the books and seeing this man actually court both of these women - i hope we get to see more of them in the next season as well bc they all deserve it! (and i wanna see it all pan out on page plssss)

i also think capella and aimee are exactly where they need to be as well! i am happy that they are taking it slowly and truly working on themselves and rory before getting involved again. the love is there, but the individual growth is needed, and i'm so here for it! team baby capp and aimee over here, but only once they've grown up a little bit more LOL

and i can't leave out our og's capone & erin and capp & alaia <33
well, for starters, we wouldn't be here without them. their season helped to mould capri's books, and i loved getting all of their little cameos this season! i will always hold a special place in my bookish heart for the delgato siblings, capp, capone, capri and now core <3 my faves always! x

i am so excited to see what happens next in season 4 with quasim, blair and *spoiler alert* tookie. i just know this man is going to cause so many problems in the next book, and i can't wait to see quasim protect his woman. how exciting!!! (but also, can we have the new book tomorrow? lol)

Review for Capri 1 through 3.5

The plot was plotting but thats where things end for me.

This entire series was highly repetitive and filled with so much fluff. By time I got to this portion of the series, I was skipping over so much because how many ways can the characters tell you that Vincent Morgan was scum or that Jean Delgado was hard on Capri or that Meer really hated Brandi? There were so many missed opportunities to show us what happened instead of simply telling us after the fact. A lot of grammar and structural issues. Capri has FLAIR, not flare. She WEARS the shoes not wheres the shoes. Like come on?

Not only that there are multiple instances where the character shares that something happen to them and we move on to something else without addressing what happened to them. Chubs said Capri slapped him while he was sleep on the couch and the very next instance this man outside and we havent even seen or understood why he got slapped.

The story is heavily driven by dialogue and the spice scenes between Meer and Capri were completely disappointing.

I have not seen any growth in the author's craft since reading Capone so I think I will bow out at this stop.

BIG ONE

This entire series had us all locked in. We really watched Capri go from a caterpillar to a butterfly. She really went through a rainstorm to get her rainbow. Her character really came a long way. watching her and Meer’s love story blossom the way it did literally was top tier. They really live in each others skin and I love that for them 😍.
Everyone who crossed them got EXACTLY what they deserved. They got their get back and then some 😉.
Goon gon be Zoya then chocolate babies real soon 😭😭.
Core, Jeffie and Skyler story is definitely going to become one of my favorites. Can’t wait to see how this whole dynamic will work out. Core made it perfectly clear HE IS not coming up off them and I’m here for it 😌.
Cap and Aimee finally figuring it all out. I enjoyed them finding themselves and actually facing all their traumas head on. Once they figure out themselves as individuals they will be alright.
Quasimmmyyyy and Blair have come so far there developments in this book had me kicking my feet like it’s me 😭😭😭😭. This a relationship I’m definitely looking forward to! Jahquel sis you really did your MF thing once AGAIN! We really 🔒 in.

It feels like a lot of extra story lines, and the main plot feels a little bloated.

🥹Extra, extra
❥Aimee and Capella's storyline felt like a drain at times. I only causally cared about them, but they have a whole story arc that slowed down the action.

❥Core and Skylar are still creepy, and the way both Skylar and Jeffie are not into poly but kept getting talked into considering the lifestyle feels icky. I am immensely uncomfortable with big age gaps, and I have no interest in poly relationships, so all of their chapters were just gross to me. Skylar is 20/21 to his 30s. If both women were open to poly but had other concerns and Skylar was older, their pairing wouldn't be as weird to me. However, that wasn't their main conflict, and Skylar is still young.

🥹Crime Plot Thickens

I'm uber confused with how the plot was unfolding with the Morgan setup. Not due to backgeound info or the plan itself, but how the pacing was shown. This is supposed to be a huge sting type operation, the big finale to a long con and instead of focusing on Morgan and Capri and wrapping that up, I'm reading scenes with the entire family in Monaco like this is a vacation. It's like those absurd moments in an Ocean 11 movie where the crew chills together the night before the big heist. Except here, all the pieces are in play. So it just stalls the action

🥹Kinda feel like...everyone here is bad at crime, just some more than others

I spent portions of the book wondering, "How have they not gotten caught by now??" (well, to be fair, I thought this several times in Book 3, too). They are flagrantly living their lives while doing a covert set-up. Why set this portion of the book in Monaco? The location wasn't flushed out. You didn't get the rhythm of the city, and it's uniquness. It added nothing to the story. Instead of closing the plot tightly and efficiently on Morgan, we had shopping trips, club hang-outs, hotel room conversations, and meet-ups with people who shouldn't be meeting up around one another. It was a lot, but not a lot.

😬Some of the small things I didn't like:
❥ a character will basically tell the readers how we are supposed to feel about a scene/action. Instead of the scene just breathing and I, as the reader, pick up what the author was throwing down.

❥in case we didn't catch it once, another character will just reiterate what was told to us previously. Or the subject of the discussion will state it out plainly for us. It's as if the author doesn't trust we will know where she's going with central character points.

❥ story pacing was as if everything happened slow/fast. Some story lines were lagging and taking their sweet time while others were accelerated. But those accelerated plot points were interjected into the main plot.

❥Where was the bike action. We got a lot of shootouts on bridges, but I mean the overall biker babe story angle I thought was happening never really manifested.

Series Overall:
I really struggled even more with this book out of all the books for the pacing and extra characters. Some plot details felt unnecessary. Some people who have side character energy were getting a lot of details in a separate storyline, so the pacing and story did not feel crisp or tight. Some of the story villains' last breath seemed anticlimactic.

Aimee and Capella should have their own book. I won't read it, but that's where it should be if we are going through all of this. And it takes away from Capri and Meer.

It felt as if once the proposal and surprise baby happened, the author slowed up on showing them and focused on all these other situations, but those side lines shouldn't have taken so much space. This series felt overall more as a bridge to the IGs family and IG cast of characters than about Capri and Meer as a character

I think this was my least favorite one out of all of them. I think my hopes for Capri handling things on her own with both Morgan & Rich was very high. There was so much talk about her going into this job so she can handle this for her brothers since Capp's books. Also about her going on the island and doing what needed to be done. I feel like Capri end up being the sideliner, in almost all the situations and they were all handled by someone else in the group. The Capri I loved was the one making it buss on highways, and even though I know she was pregnant I wanted her to at least handle morgan on her own. Her going to the island just to end up hanging out with everyone else was flat for me. Even with Capri getting her revenge on Tasha, It felt too easy for me.

I also wish I got more of Capri being a badass in the courtroom other than just being handed the position. she is a lawyer so I would've loved to see her more in action.

I'm definitely excited for Quasim ad Blair, we got hints of how caring and loving he is when he starts to open up so I can't wait to see him evolve.

overall I love that Meer & Capri got their HEA, he was the man she needed and I am so happy for that. Happy that Capella & Aimee are getting their much needed therapy before trying to fix things.

Quameer really is that guy. His energy is unmatched and he brings a lot of tension in the best way to every scene. Capri has her moments but sometimes it feels like she is stuck in a loop or just not giving what she should. I was off her story after the first book *shrugs*.

I was done with Aimee books ago smh. Aimee’s arc started off interesting but it dragged for too long. Like girl evolve already. Capella is just kinda there.
But Blair and Quasim? Now that’s a duo I’m hyped for. There is so much untapped potential in that storyline and they are both wild cards in their own right. It is like watching fire meet gasoline.

Coreleon grew on me and I’m here for his Poly life. I really enjoy Skyler’s character so their journey shall be interesting. And you know we need more Goon in the storyline FUCK YOU MEANNNNNN lol

4.5/5 ⭐️

Wow. What a finale, I was sobbing 😭 Meer is without a doubt my fave book husband, you can’t tell me nothing about that man. I do think Sim will give him a run for his money once I read his book because I love a praying man. While Capone was still the best season of the series to me, Capri’s story was the most relatable. The relationship with her mom, watching her brothers find love while her life is falling apart, feeling lost and insecure because a man knocked you down so far, being independent and appeasing because you don’t know any different… yeah, I felt that heavy. Watching how Meer loved her warmed my heart so much it hurts.

For the side characters: Goon x Zoya, I need that immediately! I love Goon and his fuck you meannnnn. Sim x Blair, I mean cmon I love a good slow burn. Core x Jeffie x Skyler, I guess… I’m not really sold with that one and Core doesn’t have the flair that Capone and Capp do idk. Capella x Aimee, I GUESS!!! I really cannot stand those two but they’re working on themselves so slay idc honestly.

Random thoughts: Alaia took a complete 180, she’s not at all the same girl as when she was first introduced but I like it. Aimee’s story I feel bad to say that I didn’t like it, she went through a lot of trauma so it’s understandable but they let ole girl off the hook way too easy if you ask me. Meanwhile, Capella was getting hemmed up and cussed out which he deserved but Aimee’s ass needed to get balled up too. Tasha… finally!!!!!!!!! Her ass really is dumb is all I have to say. She’s always stepping over a quarter to pick up a dime and that’s why she got lined tf up. The Morgan plot line was crazy and introduced us to Menace who I’m assuming has OCD but he’s funny. I wish he would stop acting like Batman with the lights cutting off 😭 boy bye.

Last, this was an amazing series but it really could use some better editing. A lot of sentences were hard to read bc of poor grammar and formatting. And I’m almost certain that a lot of names got mixed up but if they didn’t then it was moreso bc it’s hard to tell who’s speaking sometimes when it’s not stated.

My girl got everything she deserved… and then some!

I’m finally done reading Capri and let me tell you it was everything.
From start to finish, Capri’s character development was top tier. She grew. She healed. She fought. She loved. And most importantly? She won.

She deserved everything that came her way:
Peace
Love
Joy
That good, stress-relieving, life-altering dick
Her baby, her husband, her healing, her friendships every single blessing? Deserved.

She went from spinning blocks on bikes and in trucks, spraying lead at dusty crusty roaches, to sitting in the DA’s chair making boss moves. Like?? Range. Give my girl her flowers.

And now let’s talk about Quamir Inferno because… chef’s kiss.
A protector? Yes
A provider? Yes
Loyal, attentive, respectful? Yes
Willing to crash out at the slightest disrespect to his woman? YES.
He never hurt her, never betrayed her, never switched up. Just stood 10 toes down for her from day one. A man in every sense of the word. I ate that up. Devoured it. No crumbs.

Now that Capri’s story is wrapped up, I’m heading into Blair’s next but I’m taking a day to breathe because whew. That was a ride.

And yes, I’m definitely going to reread:
Capone
Cappadonna
Capri
I already reread 10000 hours with a rich Menace, so at this point, I might as well start the whole reread train. I don’t care. I’m locked in.

If you’re a fan of strong women, ride-or-die men, family healing, found friendship, and plot twists that keep you clutching your chest Capri’s story is for you. 10/10, no notes (except that I want more).
