Cursed Wraith

Rate this book
It crept into my life, encased in darkness. It was a mystery shrouded in lost lives, a wraith haunted by the powers he’d unwillingly absorbed.

But when he stumbled into our path, he also stumbled into stories that breathed hope into his shadowy existence.

Something about his presence pulls at the threads of my being, something that dares me to believe in second chances.

Our encounters with Orcs seem like more than coincidences, tying us together in ways I never expected. Could it be that the stories I’ve told and the light we share are drawing out remnants of the man he once was?

Every glance, every moment shared, makes me wonder. Can a soul marked by darkness find solace in the light? Can this being indeed weave a story of love and redemption with a spirited Fae like me?

The stakes are high, and with every tick of time, each borrowed heartbeat, the risk of losing everything grows. But every whisper of hope makes me believe that maybe, just maybe, love can be the wraith’s salvation.

Lyra is chained to the deck of a ship which is floundering in a sea tempest. Auren was in a cage near her. She managed to get the keys and out of the cage. Now she's headed to Lyra. They finally get free and jump into the raging sea swimming towards the land they saw.
Draven has an undying hunger. He is watching the vessel break apart. He watches as his prety flail. He's on the opposite side of the docks but the sea brought this ship to him. He watches as survivors come onto his land. Then he spies a woman with a child holding on heading to his land. She is different...her life force sparkles like starlight and tastes of wild magic and ancient forests. A Fae! He'll save her for last.
Lyra and her friend Auren, who's only 8, survive and hide in an old beech tree. The wraith finds them and just watches. Lyra knows he's there. As they travel he follows. She had hummed a song that brought back some of his memories. He needs to know what that song is and why did it bring back fleeting images. Over a few days he keeps his eye on them. Then Lyra and Auren are hunted by orcs. They flee and find themselves stuck in black mire swamp. Then the creatures that live in it come out for their meal which is them. Lyra is wondering where their wraith is now that he's actually needed. She tells Auren that she needs to use her earth fae abilities so she can live to the ripe old age of 9.
Meanwhile Draven had gone to the house where he had lived. His memories are part of the curse of being a wraith. For each sould he took he lost one more piece of himself. This place was home and hopefully he'd be able to recall a little more. It seems to have started with that tune the fae had hummed. He finds a chest and moves it and opens it. Inside are items that he knows but doesn't know about. He is upset that his torment has been shocked into taking on color tempting him with truths. He craves the truth. It's the fae's fault. Then he remembers his conversation with Lyra the night before. If he brought them here maybe they would trust him and help him remember. So now he seeks them to offer shelter. He finds them and travels with them. He even helps Auren when she tries using her earth powers. Then he tells Lyra about losing his memories as he takes souls. The she touches him and something sparks..a bolt of energy shots through her. It scared him. He leaves. It felt like she took something from him. It made him feel! Something he hasn't had for centuries.
Meanwhile Lyra and Auren make it to a city. After a few months Draven hides in the forest watching the city. He wonders if they're safe? If they remember him? Then he gets an idea. He manages to stop a small caravan and makes a deal with one of the drivers. HIs family for his helping getting his family out of the city. Lyra found work and on this one day gets home a little later to an empty place. Auren is gone. As she's looking the man Draven sent finds her and he tells her what the wraith did and how he has to take her and the little girl back to him to get his family. She tells him she'll go but he has to help her find Auren. Then she finds out what happened to Auren. The man who Draven sent returns and tells him that Lyra lost it and killed someone. Then he lets him know she's heading to the orc mines because that's where the shop owner sent her when she had her arrested. Now Draven must find his family.
Will it there in time to save both Lyra and Auren?
A fascinating story about a lost soul findint something he lost centuries before.

OMG, Cursed Wraith, by Blossom SeaFarrer is was an exciting book. I enjoy reading paranormal books but this one was different. This is an enemies to friends to lovers romance. The action in the story begins on page one and continues throughout the entire book. Nothing is as it seems and if you are not careful, you may miss some important clues. Lyra and Auren are Feas who have no idea the amount of power they each posses. Draven, the wraith, captured my attention right away. His character reminded me slightly of the "Beast" in "Beauty and the Beast". Unlike the "Beast", who only scared off his victims, Draven truly was a "monster" who "enjoyed" playing with his food before killing it, yet still managed to be endearing in a ghoulish way. These three characters, unlikely as it seems, will form a bound and capture your heart.

My Heart is Captivated.
I was captivated until the end when HEA happened. And what an adventurous read! My heart didn’t stop pounding from all the danger and intense scenes. Shipwrecked. Cursed Wraith. Survival. Disturbing creatures. Saving slaves. Genie-like female. Memories lost and regained. Love. Oh my heart the lost-in-the-eyes-captivated moments loved it all. Family and the significance of family. And what’s so incredible is that there are no sexy scenes. The storyteller part that ties all loose ends up is what clinches this fantasy drama. It is ALL story and it is what makes this story so wonderful. Well done! 6 stars!.

Paranormal romance

A brilliant paranormal romance with action from the start, a shipwreak, cursed wraith, captives, drama, discovery, regaining lost memories and a HEA.

Nothing is quite as it seems in this. Lyra and Auren are fae who have escaped enslavement and a ship wreak, only to find themselves on an island where a wraith devours those who end up on his shores. But he senses there's something different about these fae and just follows them as they begin to travel away from the shore.

A bond begins to grow between the three of them, with them all finding they need each other, but can they save each other?.

OH WOW best paranormal romance ever. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was insane. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down literally. Draven had lost his memories and he do not know who is. Lyra trying to protect Auren. Draven needed to face what he had done in his past. Will his past open up his eyes to what he have done in this moment. Will he be able to change his future and fallen in love with her right now could they fight the temptation any longer in this madness.
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

A spellbinding tale of light piercing through shadow, this story weaves a beautifully haunting narrative of redemption, love, and the power of second chances. The mysterious wraith, cloaked in sorrow and darkness, is brought to life through lyrical prose and a palpable emotional journey. The connection between him and the spirited Fae is both tender and profound, their bond unfolding amidst danger, destiny, and the echoes of a forgotten past. With every heartbeat and shared glance, the reader is drawn deeper into a world where love dares to bloom against the odds. A poignant and mesmerizing fantasy that lingers long after the final page.

Wonderful story of love and redemption!

Blossom SeaFarrer has a gift with writing stories of redemption and this one is no exception to that. We have a monster with no memories of his past and then we have a fae, along with a child fae. This story is well written, the characters are all engaging and the story just pulled me in from the beginning. Highly recommend this!

I enjoyed this story. The main characters were not what one expected and as the story started thought it would go one way but instead turned into something else and had me rooting for Draven in the end. Drama, danger, surprises, twists, crazy characters and a shipwreck. Lots of fun.

This was an incredible redemption mixed with a little bit of a beast. I loved the writing of this book so much. I also enjoyed the mc's interactions with each other. The character growth was awesome as well.
