It's always the church girls. Despite Co-Co's religious upbringing, she often tussles with temptation and lust. She ignores God's warnings on same sex relations and adulatory and selfishly entertain her demon's. With a secret that can ruin her relationship with her bestfriend and the inability to shake the chaos in her life, Co-Co vows to seek help.
In this gripping short story of self-discovery, sin, and redemption, Co-Co must face the truth about her desires—and herself. Will therapy be the reality check she needs to find peace, or will her past haunt her forever?
she could’ve wrote four books with what went on in this one
So this author has a lot of potential. This book could be a great series but she doesn’t let any of her ideas play out. You jump from this to that to that. It was way too much going on in 100 pages. I expect a 100 page book to be a quick lil something baby this book spanned over like 15 years. It was too much. The writer has lots of potential. I think she should take each lil time period and make it its own novel.
Mrs. Whitmore come to the front of the room, I have never in my 45 years of living ever had so many “wtf “ moments in one damn book…. Mrs. Ma’am you have me cutting my eyes at you, but I absolutely loved the book!!!
When I tell you Cassandra was having bad luck at every corner. First it was her boyfriend Jeremiah getting locked up then he ghost her for all those years just for him to pop up 10 years later and she finds out he lives as a gay man now. Then her best friend finds out she slept with her dad so she sleeps with her new boyfriend and tells her she has HIV. This book was full of mess but it was soooo good.
First part of this book had me like "OH!" because Co-Co is just going through a bit of everything. Then by the time the story gets to her best friend and that secret, I'm speechless.
With the help of church and therapy, will Co-Co be capable of taming her chaotic life?
What the absolute f*ck was this!!!! I don’t even know what to say or how to feel. Literally everyone was absolutely crazy 🤪…. This here is something you can’t be told about you just leave to experience it truly.
This story was a real page-turner. The pacing was incredibly quick, and I listen to it quick.. Despite its fast pace, there was a surprising amount of plot packed in. It kept my mouth tore wide open from beginning to end. I never felt bored, and the story always held my interest. I appreciated how much happened in such a short time. Overall, a very, very spicy read. I highly recommend.
This book was unfortunately all over the place and was difficult to follow. Each persons story was rushed and the author did not take the time to expand her characters. There were also typos in the book which was distracting. Overall, the book just felt rushed and I wish some of the character plot lines were a bit fleshed out
I feel like I was just thrown every way but loose reading this book. This was too damn much and unnecessary to be written this way. I read it in under 2 hrs I suppose bc I’m not someone who likes DNFs, but this book was crazy….just a bunch of crazy twists and turns. Theres no plot per se, unless the plot itself was “TORNADO”
This was my first time reading Antoina Whitmore, and I must say, Nine Inches was a gripping and thought-provoking experience. What started as a seemingly straightforward story turned into an emotional deep dive into Cassandra’s life and the weight of her trauma. Whitmore masterfully peels back the layers, showing how deeply her pain shaped her decisions and relationships.
At some point, I found myself not just reading about Cassandra but truly feeling the depth of her struggles. Even when she sought help, it was heartbreaking to see how the behaviors she developed as a survival mechanism continued to dominate her life. This book isn’t just about characters—it’s a raw, unflinching exploration of how unresolved pain can manifest.
If you’re looking for a book that challenges you emotionally and makes you reflect, Nine Inches is worth picking up. It’s deep, heavy, and undeniably powerful.
Biiiiishhhhh!! This shit had me stressed out from the beginning. Sis was going through it. But i ain’t gon say she deserved it but damn, she didn’t help! Everything that could go wrong did! She was a grimy bitch and surrounded herself with grimy niggas! Shit, and grimy bitches too! I’m glad she finally got what she’s been losing but the therapist!?!?! Ain’t no fuckin way!! I know you fuckin lyin! Where’s the sequel!?? Cuz no! I’m not accepting this! Antonia, to the operators booth because how you gon put me on this rollercoaster just to stop it at the top of the biggest drop!?!?!! No ma’am!!
Y'all what did I just read??? Like I literally was zoned in on all the mess! Co-Co just thought one thing could fix everything and she didn't realize that one thing was the root of ALL HER PROBLEMS! Whew Chile, I see a part 2 is coming in December. Hopefully she's called Iyanla to fix her life because...baby! That ending was completely unexpected. Happy Reading Y'all!💋
Disclaimer: This is not about plot at all. So don't read it if you think you're getting a book that checks all your boxes. This is about a woman with a very messy life, addicted to $3x, and makes very questionable choices.🤷🏾♀️
There is nothing to say about this book, but it is messy messy messy messy messy! Cassandra Coco, whatever you want to call her I was feeling for her at first, but everything that she went through was her own fault. The ending I did not see that coming, I really didn’t see that coming. I had hopes for Zion, but honestly, he just really stupid. This was like reading someone’s diary you wanted to put it down but then you needed to pick it up hoping that they would wake up one day, but Cassandra really didn’t. Come on book 2, I guess I’ll be here for the joyride or should I say roller coaster ride cause no joy this!
Despite the underdevelopment of characters and plot, Nine Inches was quite the read. Once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down 💕🥂
Coco was a lil whore nieee 🥴 I mean your best friends dad, the best friend, the best friend’s step dad AND the step dads son?! Talk about life coming full circle!
Brenda, poor Brenda.
Pastaaaaahhh *tisk, tisk* you know better is all I’m going to say!
Jeremiah took me for a loop, because what you mean daddy’s calling? 😔
I wanna rate it zero stars cause it was all over the place and idefk. Lmaooo it’s getting two because the shit was all over the place and I was lmaooo. The shit was so bad but it was bad and funny asf. Like there was no connection at all with no damn body and ole girl was just hunching on any and everything my gawd. Like I said it was all over the place but it had my attention with how fucked up it was lmaooo 😭😂😭 gawd this shit pissed me off
This book was all over the place. Seemed like the author wrote down everything that came to her mind with no pacing. Don’t get me wrong the twist was good but not complete. Then we were left on a cliffhanger with no sequel going to be written. This is a generous 2 stars if I wasn’t reading it for a book club I would’ve DNFed it off the first few pages. I hope her other work is better writing and pacing.
Messy. Not only in characters but writing structure. It had good potential in the beginning but towards the end it went towards like 5 different storylines and major twists that seemed outlandish in between. But also the drama is what makes it interesting and me u. just would’ve focused maybe on one or two of those main situations for a shorter page count so it’s more well fleshed out and not going off a cliff.
I started to DNF but I was really curious to see what this was about because of the title. Something was always happening. CoCo was really something else. You will definitely be entertained with the amount of foolishness that goes on in this book. Like this was a joke. Just so many twists and turns.
The writing style did not fully captivate me mentally. At times, some of the stories felt rushed or lacked the depth and attention to detail that I had hoped for. While the overall narrative may have been interesting, the execution could have been more polished and engaging.
This book was very interesting to say the least. It’s true it’s a short book, very short. However each chapter seemed like incomplete thoughts and it kinda seems like it was jumping around for a bit. I’m not sure if it was a rush to write it but everything was told so fast before you even had a chance to process the last twist lol. And the ending was crazy! Wow.
Crazy, chaotic, messy, twists on top of twists! I’m here for all of it. Cassandra ain’t no joke, and neither is karma. WTF did I just read? Like really? How do they come up with this stuff. 5 stars for being messy and all over the place. Very entertaining, if you like crazy! LOL
Quick read! A high-octane adventure that grabs you by the collar and doesn't let go. From the very 1st chapter, it immerses readers in a whirlwind of events that are fast-paced and unpredictable. The plot moves at break neck speed, and just when you think you've caught up, there comes another curveball. That ending though......
It was a wild ride. Very well written and it felt like 2-3 pages of individual stories combined to make a novella. The synopsis makes you think it’s heavy on the religion or that it’s based around it , but it’s more like reading a messy diary. This book does leave on a cliffhanger so beware, but trust me you’ll need that break after you read this drama. 🤣
Hell, I'm not even too sure what to say about this book let alone just how to review it. I mean, it was interesting to pick up and keep reading so I do give it that. Need something messy to indulge in then by all means here you go. It will keep you flipping the page to figure out just how crazy it could get. And best believe it does get wild.
I was so not expecting this. she loves her sex. That is all she thinks about. Sex. It started off with her husband. Then a hook up at the club she owned. Then a father and a son. She has a secret and she wants it to stay that way but what is in the dark will come to the light. Always and this secret breaks her relationship with a friend.
So many twists and turns. Secrets unfolding and revelations that made me gasp, several times. That ending though lolllll that really cracked up cause i certainly didn’t see that one coming lollll. Once I let go of the erotic expectation I was able to enjoy the book a lot more. The erotic aspect just didn’t hit for me. But the drama…yea that was there.
This that Tom foolery. That bull shittary. This was a waste of two hours of my life that I will never get back. Why did I read this? Oh I remember because it was free. I’m not going to say that I would never read anything by this author again, but this was not it. The book had potential but the story lacks structure, completeness. Just a waste of time. Very disappointed.
Despite initial expectations, the narrative unfolded with surprising depth and complexity, revealing unexpected plot twists and nuanced character developments that captivated the audience's attention and transformed an otherwise ordinary story into a compelling and memorable experience.
Whew 😮💨, the room is spinning from all the trauma thotness 😩😂. The MFC is a whole walking DSM 5 diagnosis 😂. This story is W.I.L.D! This was a nice quick, rollercoaster🎢 ride of a read. The author definitely needs to do a follow up novella!!
