Right Time, Wrong Man On the night of her wedding rehearsal, Haley’s world is turned upside down when she catches her fiancé wrapped in a cozy embrace with their wedding planner. A satisfying, karma-infused confrontation in a public restroom follows, but instead of heartbreak, Haley finds unexpected relief. She realizes she’s dodged a bullet and is ready to embrace whatever her next chapter holds.
You’re Invited Before she can even consider swiping through dating apps, fate offers Haley a huge plot twist. Out of the blue, she receives a mysterious invitation from the owner of her favorite local bookstore. Behind its familiar shelves, an exclusive after-hours, members-only Book Club awaits—a world more exciting than anything Haley could’ve imagined. But this isn’t your grandma’s book club. Here, members don’t just read stories; they step into scenes from them. Haley is swept into the Boyfriend Club, where she can be transformed into her beloved characters, and fall in love again and again with her ideal Book Boyfriends. What starts as a thrilling escape soon becomes the romantic adventure of a lifetime, and maybe, just maybe, the best love story is the one waiting for Haley in the real world.
Angie Lee is the first place winner of Miss Stacey's second grade poetry contest. She beat out the competition with a poem about kites, taking the grand prize of one large gold star sticker. She lives in a tiny town with her husband and their dog. In her free time, Angie enjoys using a Magic 8 Ball to make tough life decisions.
I sat down to read The Boyfriend Club by Angie Lee, and I didn't get up until I finished! In the first scene, the MC is burning her wedding dress in a backyard bonfire, and I immediately wanted and got the backstory. I loved Haley's first-person voice, which was sarcastic and hilarious. Lee's premise was fun, and it was an easy, enjoyable read. I was almost sad that it wasn't longer! I'm always looking for funny, quick romances (to break up my usual thriller reads) and Angie Lee's book fit the bill perfectly!
Not only is this book HILARIOUS, but it’s so relatable with online dating! I wish we had a club when we could go for the scenes we love in books! And the best part, that she added what ended up happening to Ben at the end!
This is a quick read you can easily devour in one sitting—and you’ll want to. Hilarious, heartwarming, and delightfully original, The Boyfriend Club is every romance reader’s dream. Between laugh-out-loud moments, swoony love interests, and a magical bookish twist, this story absolutely delivers. I highly recommend it—five stars!
This was a fun and fast-paced read with a premise that really had potential. The beginning totally hooked me, and the main plot was definitely giving. I also have to shout out the cover, because wow, it’s stunning. That alone made me want to dive in. That said, I found myself wanting more depth. Things moved so quickly that I didn’t really get the chance to connect with the characters, and at times I wasn’t totally sure what was even happening. The pacing kind of got in its own way. The ending was sweet, which I appreciated, but I still put my kindle down feeling a little unsatisfied. All in all, a decent read that had some strong points.I just wish the execution had lived up to the promise of the premise. I would recommend this to people who enjoy fast-paced romance, are looking to get out of a reading slump, or just want an easy, no-pressure read. It delivers on fun.
This was a good book don't get me wrong. I really can't say anything bad about the storyline except that it felt rushed at parts.
After reading the description about "stepping into the scene" I expected it to be using magic of some sort and the FMC gets sucked in to the books but instead it's just a club full of women who pay to have extravagant role play scenarios. After I got over the initial disappointment, the "scenes" that were acted out were sweet. The chapters with the book boyfriends were written as if the reader were reading an excerpt of that particular novel. (It's a shame none of them were real books as there were definitely a few I wanted to continue reading).
Lastly, the very last chapter which is written from the ex-fiancés POV felt completely unnecessary and ruined the feel good vibes of the previous chapter (what should have been the last chapter).

The premise of this book is fantastic. Who wouldn't want to live in a world where all of their book "boyfriends" were real? However it definitely fell flat. I was expecting more of an immersive magical story where the book boyfriends truly do turn real via magic or something. The direction the author took the story was also ok however the execution was done poorly. The beginning of the book was written great but then I felt highly disconnected from the story when it got to the FMC Haley participating in the book scenes. I felt like I was suddenly reading a completely different book/excerpt than the one I was supposed to be reading. It created a disjointed feeling between the beginning, middle and end of the book. I would of liked more character development within each of the different "book boyfriend" scenes Haley participated in.
I did give this 3.5⭐ because I truly enjoyed the beginning of the book and the banter between Haley and her sister and the end was also good. It was just the in between chapters that really threw me off.
I loved every minute of this book! It was funny (literally laughed out loud), romantic, just ugh amazing! Haley is just perfect. She’s hilarious and goes through so much but comes out on top. That ending! *Swoon*. I didn’t realize I needed the very last chapter but it made my heart happy 🤣 I highly recommend this read, you won’t be disappointed. I read it in one sitting. Could not put it down.
Omg this book was so much fun and soooo funny. I laughed out loud multiple times. The story was great and fast oaced. Once I stated I didn’t wanna put it down. After reading this book I really really really wish there was a real place like the boyfriend club!!!! I need a second book!
This is such a cute and fun little read! The book hooks you from the very beginning!! Everytime I took a break I couldn’t wait to get back into it!! Would love to see more stories of the other women from The Boyfriend Club!!
Absolutely LOVED this book! If only we could recreate scenes from books we read. Loved the ending. At times hilariously funny and others more poignant. A quick read and definitely worth reading.
