Mandy has always found comfort in church and escape in books. But comparing fictional heroes to her real-life dating disappointments has left her feeling jaded. Just when she's ready to give up on romance for good, someone who’s always been there for her suddenly shines with a new light.
Still living under his dad’s thumb has Dallas craving a life away from everything he knows. He’s secretly been in love with Mandy for years, and after a few bold moves to show her how he feels, he’s at last ready to confess his love. Just as Mandy is warming up to the idea of dating him, a new opportunity to break free from his father’s expectations leaves Dallas questioning what his top priority should be—becoming more independent or starting a new relationship with Mandy?
Will life’s priorities pull them apart, or will Mandy and Dallas finally seize the chance for love?
Welcome to Mills! This book is faith-based with the main female lead’s beliefs. It is also part of a series but can be read standalone. This one was easy to follow with the back story of the main characters mixed in throughout. Beautifully written characters. I got frustrated with them and even caught myself shaking my head at some decisions they made. It's a fantastic storyline that keeps you hooked all the way through.
I think June saved the best for last. While I thoroughly enjoyed all of the books in this series ONCE UPON A COWBOY is probably my favorite. Mandy & Dallas are delightful characters that steal your heart. I love that God played a more prominent role in this book. Keep a few tissues handy. I found a few tears rolling down my cheeks as I read. Very sweet heart warming romance. I highly recommend it.
This was a cute story. But I wanted more. It was definitely a short read and I wish there was a lot more. I love the characters and I wanted to experience their growth with them. I want to know what made James the way he was, why the overnight change of heart (what was the spark that ignited that?) and I wanted to see more emotional connection with the two main characters. I wanted to experience that growth as the connection got deeper.
I read this in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down until the HEA. This is a sweet no spice romance book that kept me on the edge of my seat. I wanted to scream at the characters to just communicate with each other. It is very well written and paced. I am a little sad that this is the last cowboy romance book in the Mills series. All of them are stand alone but the characters are intertwined as they all take place in a small town.
Oh my gosh, I absolutely loved it! I love her cowboy series. Honestly, I think this one is my favorite! The characters are well written and seeing them grow is amazing! There was a moment when I was frustrated with the characters. But it was so good. You also get a small glimpse of past characters as well.
I really enjoyed this sweet story between Mandy and Dallas. Their challenges with their faith and how they overcame it made it so relatable. I love the growth in the relationship between Dallas and his dad. This book made me laugh and made me cry and had a happy ending. Read this book! You won't regret it.
These sweet cowboy romances are the best! I have enjoyed every single one of them. They are interconnected but can be read as standalone. This one just might be my favorite one. Dallas & Mandy’s relationship and complications really resonated with me and a relationship I had in my past.
I absolutely love all her writing. This book was a good read. Loved that she realized what they wanted was right in front of her the whole time. Have faith in God and you will find your way. Good life lessons.
This is a very sweet romance between a rancher/mechanic and a book loving librarian. It is a wonderful quick read with charming characters. If you’re looking for a gentle faith based read, this is definitely the book for you.
This is a faith based sweet romance between a librarian, Mandy, and a mechanic, Dallas, who works both in a shop and on his family's ranch. Mandy dreams of finding the happily ever after that she reads about in the traditional and retelling fairy tales. She's strong in her faith. Dallas and his family have slipped away, bit by bit, from church and God. The two have been friends from school and the town since they were kids. A flame begins to flicker between them, but each of them show some being gun shy and this keeps going back and forth. When tragedy strikes, things really take a turn. Will it mean a happily ever after, or will it blow the flame out?
As a former teacher, I loved that the FMC and the MMC worked together to create a project at the library in which the MMC teaches car maintenance skills!
I received this in ebook form from the author in exchange for an honest review. I'd like to express my gratitude for this gift and opportunity.
This is a perfect small town romance! I love the faith values and the cowboy vibes. It’s a perfect friends to lovers and I love the character growth! Will definitely be checking out the rest of the Finding Love in Mills series!
