Cozy Mystery, Book 9 Dying to Wed (Double Trouble) Life at the Tucson Valley Retirement Community is usually filled with morning walks, pickleball, and Barley the golden retriever making her rounds to collect ear scratches and sneak a bite of someone’s muffin. But things are buzzing with extra excitement these days—Bob and Karen are getting married!
The happy couple couldn’t be more low-key about their big day. All they want is a simple celebration surrounded by friends, laughter, and maybe a little dancing (even if they pay for it the next day). Everyone’s ready to toast to love, until one of the guests unexpectedly checks out. Permanently.
Not wanting to cast a shadow over the newlyweds’ big moment, Rosi—resident senior center marketer and reluctant amateur sleuth—concocts a plan to keep the unfortunate turn of events under wraps just long enough for Bob and Karen to head off on their honeymoon in blissful ignorance.
With Officer Dan Daniel at her side, a suspicious trail to follow, and a second wedding on the horizon (where Rosi will be standing up for the groom in a pantsuit that fits no one), the clock is ticking.
Join Barley, Rosi, and the whole tight-knit Tucson Valley crew as they juggle casseroles, corsages, and clues in this cozy tale of community, companionship, and the occasional crime. Because at the Tucson Valley Retirement Community, life doesn’t slow down. It just gets sweeter.

"Dying to Wed: Double Trouble (Tucson Valley Retirement Community Cozy Mystery #9)" by Marcy Blesy contains two weddings and a funeral. I think this one takes the most time for Rosi and Dan to solve. Still a quick turn around but more over a few weeks rather than days. It all starts at one wedding when the victim is found by Rosi during the reception and ends with a wedding.
This one is also the most coordinated of an investigation between them too. Dan seems to have given up on hiring new deputies for the time being. He even threatens to deputize Rosi. She seems to be pulled in as a consultant though. She even seems to start taking over and telling Dan what to do. I'll put it down to Dan's upcoming Wedding to Calliope frying his brain.
At the funeral, a big plot twist is dropped. I was partly thinking maybe it was a different twist than it ended up being. It didn't go that way though but had a bit more twists than I find this series usually has.
This was a fun and mysterious quick little read. I always enjoy when we get to explore Rosi’s insecurities a little deeper with a dash of murder. I hope that Keaton and Rosi eventually can get their happily ever after, no matter what that looks like.
This was another fun, cozy mystery. I love this series! Rosie and all her mothers friends at the Tucson Valley Retirement Center or gossip central, help Rosie solve another murder!
A case of mistaken identity turns to murder in the latest installment from Tucson Valley. Marcy does it again with not one but two weddings and a murder. Of course Rosi helps officer Daniel solve the murder in between weddings. Great series.
