This was such a sweet read! While I don’t think I’ll ever homestead like the author, her heart behind it is something that anyone can learn from. I loved the practical tips and recipes in the book.

I was excited to read this book because I already follow RuthAnn's YouTube channel. I feel the book mimics much of what I've already learned about her family's history and lifestyle by watching her channel; although, that did not cause me to put the book aside. Read to the end because Chapter 7 is my favorite. I hope as you read the book, you can take some of what you've read to learn or re-learn skills that have been lost to some in our current generation, and be reminded of what is truly important as parents raise families.

UPDATE: I do keep referring back to this book. Good to keep on the shelf.
