TEN-YEAR-OLD COOPER NEEDS A WISH AND NEEDS IT FAST!
When the principal tells Cooper he’s got to make all A’s on his midterms next week or he’ll be kicked out of school, Cooper decides there’s only one hope of succeeding (besides actually studying): fly to Ireland and snatch a leprechaun to get a wish!
Kirkus Review: "Enjoyably outlandish and fast-moving, with memorable characters led by a comically flawed young hero. ...Our Verdict: GET IT!"
Booklife Reviews by Publishers Weekly gave it a Lightning Bolt EDITOR'S PICK review (reserved for those considered to be of outstanding quality): “Charming fantasy of a 10-year-old mastermind snatching a leprechaun. Taylor’s prose is deft and witty, getting right to the fun stuff on every page—a melee between Paddy and a beast must be read to be believed.”
SNATCHING ST. PADDY is the sequel to the charming and equally adventurous SNATCHING ST. NICK!
What a delightful story! My little nephew loved the high jinks of Cooper and his pursuit of St Paddy. Gramps involvement in the story kept my nephew tickled as he always loves the stories his Grandpa tells him. I wondered if Myla Taylor would write something as wonderful as Snatching St. Nick; well she has!
I pray my nephew and my niece who is a bit younger than her brother, begs me or my father to have them read this to us again for St. Patrick's Day! 😊
Myla Taylor's Snatching St. Paddy is truly a delightful sequel to her debut novel, Snatching St. Nick, that highlights the author's flair for humor in kid-friendly storytelling. The main character is Cooper, and his mission to kidnap a leprechaun for wishes kept me engaged. Taylor's previous book set a high standard with its wit and charm, and this new tale delivers again while building anticipation for the third installment. A must-read for fans of mischievous adventures!
Snatching St. Paddy is great for kids 8 to 12 who like humorous, silly, full of magic books. It's a fun, fast-paced read that has received positive reviews from Publisher Weekly's Booklife Reviews (EDITOR'S PICK!) and Kirkus Reviews. Great for fans of Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl and Thomas Lennon's Ronan Boyle series.
