Grady is a grumpy and reclusive lumberjack that is content to never fall on love, but sometimes he needs a bit of help at his cabin. So he searches for a practical mail order bride. Sarah moved to town after a nasty break up with a whole lot of other dramas. She is Gradys new bride, but nothing is just practical about this arrangement. Grady is a grumpy lumberjack with his only companion and a dog named Bear. He doesn’t want to be alone all of his life so he follows suit and does a mail order bride, but just for practical reasons. Sarah is running from her past and answers the mail order bride ad. Bear really pushes them together with his antics, but will they fall in love or keep it a practical relationship?

This is a very short book, more like a short story. It read more like a rough outline of a novel, a lot of the story felt like it was missing and the meat of the relationship building needed to still be filled in. A lot of the character backstory was also missing - I just never felt like I knew them and things just kind of happened without too much detail.

Well firstly the cover gets me. I am like a sucker for these covers!!!!!!!
So I know that I'm immediately gonna love this book and I love this author and I love mountain men!
But holy crap Grady. he is amazingly grumpy and sexy and brooding and stubborn. And throw in a sweet dog?

Light
Light. Steamy, but light reading.
Prior to The Lumberjack Bride I'd read a 452+ page historically, heavy subject matter, emotionally charged novel. Was looking for something less; Lumberjack was. Aria Cole's 111 pages could have had a lot more substance; the possibilities were there.
Editing was great. I'm OCD about spelling and use of a word that sounds the same but has different meanings. 4 stars for that reason.

A quick and easy read
It's a short story But you get to know the characters. The plot line could have been expanded if you wanted a longer book to read but I don't think that was the point the author wanted to make. I enjoy sometimes when I waiting to have an office visit I just need a short story and this fits the bill.. I hope you enjoy it too there is some Since that Are that are R rated.

What he wants is a professional relationship, instead he gets 25 year old, Sarah a stubborn young school teacher who fills his heart with love and passion. Before too long he is ready to defend her honor and marry her and raise a family. It is a quick read with a predictable story line that has more than its share of sizzle, along with Bear, a loveable, trusting old dog.

It Started with a Bear
His dog "Bear" knew she was the one before they even met. Such a cute meet when "Bear" ran into her knocking the cookies from her hands and he became enamored by her laugh. Low and behold, she was his mail order bride. It took them a while for both to let their guard down and get together. After he stood up for her, they found their HEA.

Well written story and well developed characters. She was desperate to start over some where new. He needed a partner to help him out. So he took out an ad for a partner and she answered it.

Sweet story

Argumento:

Romance con novia por correspondencia, atracción instantánea, pueblo en las montañas, ex militar gruñón, una dulce maestra de grado, diferencia de edad.
Esta es una historia muy dulce, acogedora, sexy y con quemadura lenta, y con muchos montañeses sexys que reciben novias por correo.
Espere que sucediera algo mas con la situación de Sarah que la llevó a mudarse, esto no es un problema mayor para la pareja y se resuelve simplemente. Lo único que me resultó molesto es cuando ella lo abandona sin siquiera hablar con él de lo que la angustiaba. Odio cuando hay falta de comunicación y las heroínas suponen las cosas y deciden por el otro. De todas formas me resultó un historia agradable, me gustó como se abren Sarah y Grady a medida de que pasan tiempo juntos en la cabaña, sus bromas y sus momentos cálidos junto al fuego con el adorable viejo Bear tirado a sus pies. Todo termina con un lindo final y epilogo.

Ridiculous instalove. The characters go from ‘I don’t want romance’ to ‘OMG I’m so in love’ with zero build-up, so I felt no real connection. That means that the spicy parts didn't really hit me since the characters were far from credible.
There’s a backstory for the FMC, but it’s barely touched on and then random things happen that don’t tie together at all. It felt like the author accidentally deleted every other scene, and a whole chunk at the beginning, which kept me wondering if I’d missed a page or more. Honestly, it reads more like a rough outline than a finished story.
The cover is absolutely gorgeous though, so points for that, being that the reason why I was lured to read it. But yeah, it was a disappointment.

Fast easy read. Not as cheesy as I expected but still not great. I didn’t want a long book to have to dive into so this was a quick read for the evening.

This is a steamy story, so I recommend it if that’s all you care about. The plot is complete nonsense, though. The two main characters somehow go from not wanting romance to being mushily in love with no transition, no plot tension, nothing. There is a back story about the FMC, but it’s kind of hinted at and then there a couple of random things that happen that don’t really connect. It felt like I hadn’t been paying attention and missed some key moments, but I was paying attention and did miss anything - it was the author who missed them. Overall, reading this story felt like the author accidentally deleted every other scene and the remaining bits just dont really work together.

Grady is used to being alone but he's ready for a partner so he places an ad for a mail-order bride. Sarah is looking for a fresh start and ends up answering Grady's ad. I loved these two for each other and his dog Bear knew instantly that she would be perfect for him. This is an opposites attract, mail order bride love story with likable characters and a great ending. The Lumberjack's Bride is book one and a great start to The Mountain Man's Mail Order Bride series. I look forward to reading the rest of this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Este es un libro para leer en un rato libre, es corto y tiene asegurado un HEA, te lo puedes leer en 3 horas, me gustó la trama porque yo amo el cliché de hombre fuerte y protector junto a la mujer femenina y dejándose cuidar, cosa que este libro me dio, pero algo que no me gustó fue el final ): yo quería un final más extenso donde me dieran más visibilidad de ella con él y los bebes que tendrían, no un final tan rápido, por esa razón es un libro que no sé si reelería.

This is book 1 of Mountain Man's Mail order. Grady needs practicality and Sarah need healing. These get together and never thought it would end up being more from this mountain and city girl. You are going to love it as much as I did.

This book is so sweet and full of love. Grady puts an ad in a local paper for someone, and is answered by Sarah. A rugged man that literally melts with his woman in his arms, and a woman who is sweet and just what he needs.
