Brandon Q. Morris is a physicist and space specialist. He has long been concerned with space issues, both professionally and privately and while he wanted to become an astronaut, he had to stay on Earth for a variety of reasons. He is particularly fascinated by the "what if” and through his books he aims to share compelling hard science fiction stories that could actually happen, and someday may happen. Morris is the author of several best-selling science fiction novels.
On returning from Xibalba, Tyler, Adrianna, Diego are captured and the CIA plan to use the portal themselves if they can only persuade one of them to tell them how to use it. Shaw gets his minion Montgomery to do whatever it takes to get the portal opened. One of the moth-like beings also came through and is hiding out. Their paths all intersect as the CIA attempt to control things and get to Xibalba. There is the usual mix of scifi, alien life forms, "evil" agencies, friendships, betrayals, death and adventure in this tale. A satisfying finale to the series.
This was the best book yet of the series. I love hard Science Fiction. This is something new. I didn’t know there was such a thing as hard Science Fiction, but I’m hooked. Please continue to write more books like this.
I really enjoyed this author. I can't wait to read the next one. Highly recommend. It's been a mental health break for social media and cable news . Very refreshing.
