Within Me

Rate this book
A story of breaking and becoming...I began to give myself to the breaking, knowing deep down that what was true could never shatter. I was breaking open to the real me. I witnessed it—gosh, did I witness it. A different sort of breaking. I witnessed over and over again that maybe, just maybe, this breaking was setting me free.

Within the depths of all of it, I began to meet myself. Yes, this breaking hurt. It was agonizing at times. But it was also different. This breaking was showing me the truth, and the truth held me. I was becoming the answer to the question I had been asking my whole life.

from Within Me

From visionary Kaitlyn Rightmyer comes Within Me, a reflective and liberating tale of coming alive in a world that would stop at nothing to tear us apart. Through weaving her narrative with lived wisdom gathered along the way, she explores themes of vulnerability, love, resilience, and hope. Her words inspire honest expression and awaken the promise of freedom found within our own. Within Me mirrors the possibilities within each of us when we live intimately from the heart, guiding us back to love, where all things are possible. Because love is everything, all at once.

A balm for all sensitive hearts. Reading this book of poems was like wrapping my heart in a warm blanket with a cup of tea. Soothing, inspiring, validating, and truly healing. I still think about different passages and messages in these pages after reading it months ago. Kaitlyn is clearly a writer who knows how to speak the universal language of the soul.

Words for the Soul I Didn't Know I Needed

This book cracked something open in me. Page after page, it felt like it was pulling from the deepest corners of my heart and putting them into words I didn’t know I needed.

The passages on vulnerability, breaking down, and choosing life, even in the midst of personal trials and destruction, resonated deeply with me. There is something incredibly powerful in how the author captures that moment of reckoning, where you refuse to take one more step in a direction that is no longer meant for you. I saw myself in those pages.

What moved me most was the gentle honesty about love, boundaries, and self-awareness. The reminder that love must be embodied and is not conditional hit home in ways I didn’t expect.

This isn’t just a book. It is a guide for anyone walking through deep transformation. It gave words to my pain, but more importantly, it reminded me that healing is possible, even after everything has fallen apart.

A beautiful book of poetry that can be read in one sitting or flipped through whenever you need inspiration, reassurance, or guidance on your path of life. Kaitlyn's words are tender and honest and land perfectly for anyone going through a period of transition. This is a book I will continue to return to as a source of guidance throughout my life. Thank you, Kaitlyn, for sharing your wisdom with the world – your words are a medicine I didn't know I needed.

With the season that I am in right now, I really needed this book. We go through things and never give ourselves grace to heal because we think we don’t deserve it. Kaitlyn writes about how even in heart break or losing yourself, you always deserve to heal. Our pain doesn’t define us, allow yourself to heal within and grow.

Thank you Kaitlyn for the opportunity to read your book and sharing in your pain and growth <3

The passage where Kaitlyn talked about how life is saying that it loves you and you must accept that and learn to love yourself too was my favorite. It reminded me of how the Earth is constantly saying “I love you” through her gifts to us, and that we must find a gift to give back to her. One of those gifts is accepting her love. After all, we’re just animals. If the world can be so beautiful, then there must be something beautiful within ourselves too.

This isn’t just a book… it’s a mirror.
And it cracked something open in me.

We’re born sensitive and vulnerable, but life hardens us. That’s natural.
What’s not? When we let hurtful experiences shape us more than life itself.

In just 100 pages, this book made me feel all of that—and more.
