The Most Perfect Wrong

Rate this book
**Author’s Note:**
This story contains cheating. If that’s not your thing, no hard feelings—but consider this your heads-up before diving in.

Cooper Bradley wasn’t looking for anything serious when she met Ryan Brooks. One night, one unforgettable connection—that was the plan. No strings attached.

Ryan Brooks isn’t the kind of man who indulges in reckless flings, but from the moment he lays eyes on Cooper, something shifts. She’s magnetic, unpredictable, and impossible to forget.

Six months later, fate throws them back together in the same office, working side by side. What begins as flirtation quickly escalates into playful—and heated—tension. But Cooper’s in a toxic relationship, and Ryan’s situation is… complicated.

The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore a connection that seems so right but feels impossibly wrong.

Still, there’s more to this story than temptation and forbidden lines. It’s about second chances, about realizing you are worthy of the love you never thought you deserved. About finding the courage to choose yourself, even when it feels impossible. Because sometimes, the most challenging paths lead to the most beautiful endings.

The Most Perfect Wrong is a steamy, slow-burn romance about unexpected connections, undeniable chemistry, and the complicated journey to finding yourself while navigating the delicate balance between right, wrong, and perfect.

This is the second book of The Chicago Series, an interconnected standalone series. While it can be read on its own, reading the series in order will provide a deeper appreciation of the characters' relationships.

This book is written in a dual POV, first-person narrative.

Content/Trigger Warning
This book contains strong language, mature content, and explicit romance scenes and is recommended for readers 18+. It also explores themes of emotional and psychological abuse, as well as infidelity.

I am so happy that I have found Erin. Her ability to create and tell a beautiful story is superb. The angst and tension in this one is phenomenal. I felt like I was in the FMC’s body and wanted to jump on the MMC and kiss him passionately. Ryan is such an amazing man. It was fun to have bits and piece of Leo and Viv from the first book. Absolutely loved the handcuff scene, I was cracking up.

The story deals with many emotions and hard situations. Erin has put it all together so well and it leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait to read more of these books and I’m so happy to know they are coming. I promise when you start reading you won’t want to put it down. I need autographed copies for my shelves because I loved them both so much!

Erin did it again! I’m going to be completely honest it takes a lot for me to truly love a contemporary romance. This however is my second 5 star read from Erin. Her stories just draw you in, she captures true raw emotions on page like nothing I have ever read before. Her stories draw you in making you feel all the emotions. The way she gets you to connect with her characters is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

Ryan and Coopers story is so real and raw. It speaks to the challenges of what real people go through in relationships and she depicts it so perfectly.

When Cooper finds her boyfriend cheating on her, and not for the first time, she leaves and finds solace in Newport staying with her dad, and the emotional support of her sister. When they go out for a night she runs into Ryan, the hot guys she saw running on the beach earlier that day. When Ryan approaches her wanting to get to know her better she informs him she’s not looking for anything other than a good time. Ryan is willing to take anything Cooper will allow him at this point despite wanting to know her better. Only when he wakes up the next morning she’s gone.

Fast forward a few months and Cooper has gone back to her cheating ex…I know… also now engaged. Her ex is a text book narcissist/manipulative, and Erin does an amazing job of depicting this, and how easy it is to be caught up in a cycle of wanting more for yourself but feeling stuck in a toxic relationship. Cooper knows this is wrong and wants to leave but she finds she’s just lost so many pieces of herself along the way, and feels stuck. I cannot even describe in words how well Erin wrote this situation!

When Cooper lands an amazing new job, none other than Ryan himself ends up being the VP. Cooper is also the victim of an affair after 10 years of marriage, but tragedy struck and he finds himself still married to his wife…for reasons I will not spoil, but it’s a true testament to Ryan’s character as a person. After finding out more about Coopers current relationship and the man she’s engaged to he’s determined to show Cooper what love can really be my being the best dang friend he can be until she can figure out she deserves more. Lines and blurred and tension is high to say the least.

If you love forced proximity, with the most delicious tension, and a true testament to the love that we all deserve to feel then this is the book for you! Bonus your fave couple from the first book is also included! This is a HEA and honestly the most accurate depiction of this scenario I’ve ever read.

I am so honored I was able to read this pre-release in exchange for my honest review, so thank you so much to Erin Cornia your stories always speak to my soul.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so many emotions while reading a book. The Most Perfect Wrong had me hooked from the start, making me smile like an idiot in public one moment and nearly throwing my Kindle the next.

Cooper’s journey hit hard. There were times I found myself frustrated with her, wondering why she couldn’t just leave. Like, isn’t it as simple as saying, “I’m done” and walking away? But when she finally opened up to Ryan, when she laid everything bare, it hit me—sometimes, it’s not that easy. Sometimes, it’s years of conditioning, of losing yourself so completely that you don’t even know how to leave. That moment changed everything for me.

And Ryan? The way he wanted her, yet never once crossed a line—ugh. He had every reason to give in, especially with the way Cooper pushed him, but he didn’t. He stayed in control, respected her boundaries, even when it killed him. That kind of restraint, that kind of love, made me adore him even more. And despite everything he had been through himself, he never made it about him. It was always about her.

But the part that wrecked me? Their love confession. The way it wasn’t planned, wasn’t picture-perfect—it just happened in the rawest, realest way possible. Cooper realizing, right in that moment, that the man beside her was everything she deserved, everything she never thought she could have—it was everything. That moment of clarity, of her finally choosing herself, had me an emotional mess.

This book wasn’t just good. It stayed with me. It made me feel things I didn’t expect, made me rethink things I hadn’t considered before. And honestly? I’d go through the emotional turmoil of reading it all over again.

If you're ready for an emotional rollercoaster that will have you laughing, crying, and swooning all at once, The Most Perfect Wrong by Erin Cornia is the book you need in your life. The second installment in the Chicago series, this one totally knocks it out of the park!

Cooper and Ryan's story is raw, real, and so incredibly relatable. You’ll find yourself rooting for Cooper as she struggles to break free from a toxic relationship that’s held her back for far too long. And then there's Ryan—oh, Ryan! He’s the perfect mix of sweet, supportive, and irresistibly swoon-worthy. If you've ever dreamed of a book boyfriend who gets you and respects you, Ryan is the guy. He's patient, tender, and truly a hero, without even trying too hard. Heart eyes everywhere.

The chemistry between these two is chef’s kiss. It starts off with a one-night stand that they both think is a one-time thing, but fate (and workplace dynamics) throw them together again. The slow burn? Perfection. The banter? Hilarious, sexy, and oh-so addicting. It’s one of those “just kiss already” situations, but trust me, the tension makes it all the more satisfying when they finally do.

But what makes this book stand out isn’t just the romance or the tension (though that’s a big part of it). It’s the realness of it all. Erin Cornia doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff—the pain of being stuck in a bad relationship, the self-doubt, the emotional growth that comes when you finally realize you deserve better. It’s messy in the best way, and you feel every single emotion right alongside the characters.

What really hit me was the emotional depth of Cooper’s journey. You can’t help but feel for her as she works through her trauma and learns to believe she’s worthy of love. And Ryan? Ugh, he’s just everything. The kind of man who shows up, stands by you, and never asks for anything in return. His love is patient, unwavering, and exactly what Cooper needs to heal.

This book will have you hooked from the first page, and trust me, you won’t want to put it down. It’s a perfect blend of tension, heartache, and redemption, with some seriously spicy moments thrown in for good measure. Plus, you get to check in with some characters from the first book in the series—because who doesn’t love a little bonus content?

If you’re a fan of slow burns, workplace romances, and characters you can’t help but fall in love with, The Most Perfect Wrong is absolutely a must-read. Prepare for the emotional ride of a lifetime, and be ready to fall head over heels for Ryan, the man who will make you believe in love all over again!

Thankyou so much Erin Cornia and Love Notes PR for the ARC 🤍❤️

EVERYONE. The Most Perfect Wrong is—well, perfect.

This book had me in a chokehold from page one. It’s raw, messy, beautiful, and so real. The heartbreak? Gut-wrenching. The healing? Slow, painful, but worth every second. And the love? The kind that feels impossible until it isn’t. The kind that makes you believe again.

Ryan. Oh, Ryan. This man is everything. If you’ve ever been in a toxic, gaslighting relationship (ahem, Brad—rot.), you need a Ryan. He doesn’t just love—he sees her. He believes in her. He waits for her. And when she’s drowning in self-doubt, convinced she’s too broken to fight for something good, he reminds her:

❝ You didn’t give up either. Not on yourself. Not on me. Not on us. ❞

If that doesn’t wreck you…

Because at its core, The Most Perfect Wrong isn’t just a romance—it’s a second chance at love, at self-worth, at choosing yourself first. Ryan isn’t just a love interest. He’s proof that love doesn’t have to hurt. That the right person won’t just wait—they’ll stand beside you while you figure it out.

And the chemistry? The tension? The way Ryan claims her like it’s not even a question?

❝ If I’m doing this, I’m all in. No games. Period. It’s him or me. Your choice. ❞

LORD HAVE MERCY. A man who knows what he wants, who isn’t afraid to demand it? Inject it straight into my veins.

But what hit me hardest? The journey. The unraveling. The moment love stops being something she has to fight for and starts being safe. The moment she realizes love isn’t about deserving—it’s about choosing. And I have never wanted an FMC to get her HEA more.

This book wrecked me in the best way—pain, longing, healing, and the kind of love that sees you. If you want a romance that hits, The Most Perfect Wrong needs to be on your shelf.

And as for Brad? Yeah. Fk Brad.

Ok, so I found Erin's first book on a whim. I'm so grateful I did because her writing and her characters truly pull you in. This book was no different. This was an ARC read, and the book comes out on March 15, 2025.

About the book: Cooper, our female main character, is in an unhealthy relationship with Brad. He's narcissistic and emotionally controlling. She leaves him(not for the first time in their relationship) and visits her dad in Newport.
Hi Ryan! Ryan is our male main character. He is in Newport for work. He has his own relationship issues, and he's still legally married to his wife, but for health issues on her end, he doesn't divorce her, so she can use his insurance.
Ryan and Cooper meet. They have a one night stand. You think things end there, but they don't. Cooper gets a new job, and her workplace just so happens to be Ryan's place of work also. This story goes from a one night stand to a workplace romance, to enemies to lovers, and then some. This is 6 months after their one night stand, so they know nothing else about each other. Cooper is engaged to Brad, Ryan is still living in his old house and still legally married. Chaos ensues when they find these things out.
This story pulled on my heart. The struggle that Cooper battled internally with anxiety and her lack of confidence because of Brad's verbal abuse was heartbreaking. Ryan is the grounding force for her and truly sees her for who she is. There were moments when I cried, when I laughed, then I cried again, and then I just smiled(while crying), and my heart felt wide open for these two. The banter between them was so "awesome"( when you read the book, you'll get it). The slow burn was everything, but when that spice hits...🥵
I'm sad that this book is over because Erin doesn't have other books out yet... I hope they never end. I've found an author who writes authentically and gives her heart in her stories and her character development.
Ooh, I almost forgot my favorite part! Leo and Viviane from If It Can't Be Us, make a few appearances! 🫶

A few of my favorite quotes from the book:

"Do I need to keep going, Ryan, or are you going to man up and do the rest."

"Sometimes, someone comes into your life when you least expect it, and theh become your light in the darkness. For me, that someone was Ryan-my saving grace, exactly who I needed, even before I knew it myself."

"Thank you for loving me when no one else did... when I couldn't even love myself."-Cooper

Thank you so much, @erincornia_author, for these beautiful character and their story. You have a forever fan with me.🩷 Also, @lovenotes.pr

Okay I’m going to need Erin to tone down these perfect men that she writes because holy cow. Ryan is yet another MMC that I fell in love with. I absolutely loved the ups and downs of his relationship with Cooper - from the hot meet cute to enemies that seem to loathe each other to friends to lovers. The tension never wanes, throughout.

After Ryan and Cooper have become tentative friends, their banter is equal parts hilarious and sexy. I wanted to scream at them to just give in already because it was killing me for them to be unable to give into their tension.

As it turns out, there was a lot standing in their way and they’d both been through some pretty tough things in the past few years. Cooper is super down on herself after years of being in a relationship with the worst kind of narcissist - she doesn’t feel worthy of love. And while Ryan was dealt some heavy blows in his life, he sticks around to support Cooper. And in the end, he’s the only one who makes her feel supported and like he sees the real her and loves her for who she is.

I’m loving this series - it’s got a great found family vibe and the relationships are always so heavy on the tension! Highly recommend!

Another absolute banger from Erin! This one so totally different to the first, but with the same delectable amount of tension and angst, and let’s not forget the chemistry 😤😤 . Erin’s stories are so raw, and filled with emotion, I was captivated from the first page and the slow burn really allowed time to connect with, and get a deeper understanding of the characters. The actions of the FMC in this may rub some people the wrong way, but for me, I really felt for her. I feel like her situation could be relatable for a lot of people who are stuck in a situation they don’t know how to get out of, and her actions are the coping mechanism and escape of someone who is totally broken and exhausted. Their situation was raw and real and there is no doubt in my mind that they were absolutely destined to be together. Prepare for the biggest slow burn, but when you do get to the spice, it’s utterly delicious!

The Most Perfect Wrong by Erin Cornia was such an amazing book.

“What begins as flirtation quickly escalates into playful—and heated—tension. But Cooper's in a toxic relationship, and Ryan's situation is… complicated. The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore a connection that seems so right but feels impossibly wrong.”

I do recommend that readers review the trigger warnings before reading, but wow. The book is relatable to so many people because it talks about emotional abuse, cheating, rocky family relationships, and messy romance. I really enjoyed the realness of this storyline. So many people have experienced at least one, if not several of these “triggers” in real life. Being able to read books and relate to certain parts makes the book that more emotional.

I loved the character development throughout the book and the conversations that took place between the two main characters, Ryan and Cooper. There is a great amount of banter between Ryan and Cooper and the supporting characters also flow nicely into the storyline. I really think every girl should read this book, guys too, but I think it’s relatable for so many girls. Being in a toxic relationship, not having the strength to speak up, playing along to keep the peace, and finding comfort in someone who helps you see your worth and get out of a toxic situation. Absolutely loved it.

The Most Perfect Wrong…where can I start? I loved this story. The characters were phenomenal. The emotions were so raw and so powerful. As much as this story was about the undeniable connection between Ryan and Cooper, it is also a story of their two journeys. Cooper’s journey of self discovery to find the strength to overcome the judgment she’s given herself for her past along with the tiny voice in her head of her narcissistic asshole ex, Brad, who crushed every bit of strength Cooper had until she met Ryan, who opened her eyes to see her. Ryan’s journey was the discovery of seeing that his life was never going to move from being stagnant until he took some action. Both of them helped each other along in their journeys and despite the unconventional way they came together, the journeys meshed into one beautiful journey.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a book make me feel so many emotions along with feel so genuinely relatable and real. I had moments where I without a doubt had been the idiot reading in public with the biggest smile and potentially laughed out loud as well. The banter between Cooper & Ryan, the hard moments, the amazing and the absolute ugly. I wanted to vomit at times due to the gut wrenching moments that were just so riveting and could be true. I cried, laughed for sure in the privacy of my own home & would go through the roller coaster of this book all over again.

There is so much I would love to write & share about this book but that review would be full of spoilers. This is a book that is a must read and I will be doing with this book what I did with the last novel Erin published; buying copies for everyone I know that enjoys reading this genre because it’s a huge disservice to yourself NOT to read this book.

Erin Cornia gets better and better with her writing. Cannot wait to see more of what she creates with this series but this book has my whole entire heart & will be a repeat read for me.

Talk about a slow burn.

What starts as a one night stand turns into such tension. Cooper and Ryan thought they would never see each other again, but six months later that’s not the case. Cooper starts a new job and her new boss is none other than Ryan.

The tension between them is just *chef’s kiss*. You just want them to kiss and end the slow burn. They live on the edge. But they do because they are both in a relationship with someone else. And that’s not a line they want to cross. Are they in good relationships? No, but they have to go through journeys of self reflection.

Cooper is in a toxic relationship but feels stuck and doesn’t know how to leave but feels like she can’t. It’s up to her to find it in herself to want and search for better. To find someone who can love her the way she deserves. Meeting Ryan helps her realize she wants better but to actually take a step to better, is easier said than done. She wants Ryan and Ryan wants her but she has to take the step out of her toxic relationship. Something Ryan is very adamant about, even if he really wants to cross that line.

I really did like this book and boy was the slow burn captivating. It just kept building and building and I was there for it. Ryan and Cooper were just on the verge and so was I. If you want a good slow burn, then this is the book for you.

The way this book was written is just perfect. The feelings Cooper has are just so relatable and she is better than me. I wouldn’t have been able to handle it like she did. This is just a good book and it really makes you feel seen and feel things.

To be loved the way Ryan loves Cooper is what everyone dreams about. It was just perfect and he’s such a book husband through and through.

This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone.

Cooper and Ryan hook up one night, agreeing it’s only one night. Six months later Cooper starts a new job and guess who her new boss is! The attraction between them is undeniable but Cooper is stuck in a toxic relationship and Ryan has complicated situation of his own. Are they destined to be apart or together?

Ok wow. This book had me feeling all of the emotions. The banter between them was brilliant but the passion and chemistry was palpable. Everyone needs a man like Ryan! There were times I felt sorry for him but having been in Coopers position I completely understood why she made the decisions she did at the time. Also loved seeing glimpses of Leo and Vivian again! I really hope there’s more to come in this series because I can’t say goodbye to these characters yet!!

This is an ARC review and all opinions are my own. Thank you to Love Notes PR for the ARC copy of this book and for the opportunity to read and review it

This book is messy in the most perfect way! This drama-filled romance is full of tension, angst, and a toxic relationship, and simultaneously has a cinnamon roll MMC, a FMC with a lot of grit and personality, and of course a HEA to wrap it all up.

I was along for the ride as Cooper and Ryan met and had a one night stand, and meet again later as coworkers. I love their friendship and Cooper’s journey to find her footing and get out of an extremely toxic relationship that has been holding her back for years.

We also get a peek into Vivian and Leo's story from Erin’s previous book, “If it Can’t Be Us” which is a nice bonus. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend to check out “If it Can’t Be Us” as well.

I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I swooned- every emotion that makes for an amazing read!
In this book:

*Workplace romance
*Friends to lovers
*Toxic relationship

Wow! Honestly, that's all I can really say about this book. It was raw, messy and everything in between. I love Cooper! She is unlike any FMC! And Ryan... I can't say enough about that man. He is amazing and a new favorite book boyfriend of mine. This was an easy 5 star rating for me. Typically how I rate a 5 star book is based off three things... 1. How fast did I read it 2. What does it evoke in me? If it can completely transform my mood in one way or another and it doesn't mean it has to be happy( the last letter was a 5 for me and we all know I was not happy at all during that book), and 3. Did I cry during it. If those three things happen, then it's a 5 for me... and I felt all the things during that book... and some of those songs on her playlist have been ones I've listened to for the last couple of years! I needed this book in my life and I'm completely obsessed with Erin's writing!! You will not be disappointed!! Go and read it!

Ok first I need to say, I hope these don’t end here because I AM OBSESSED!!! It was like life went out the window because I really didn’t want to put this book down! Every emotion I was feeling, I was crying with the book, screaming, angry, happy, sad ugh, just all the feelings but in the ABSOLUTE best way possible. Ryan, I love you for being you and never giving up, and Cooper you are strong and you are loved!

I could write on forever here but I don’t want to give any spoilers away because this is A MUST READ!

Erin thank you for letting me be a part of this advanced copy and I really hope there’s more coming from you soon!

Well, it’s official. Ryan is my favorite book boyfriend! The banter, the chemistry, the spice..love, love, LOVE! I loved seeing Cooper grow and become her own person throughout this book. Ryan I literally have no words for other than I love him!

Erin writes real life sh*t, and sometimes real life is hard and messy, right? Are these characters perfect? No.. but no one is. I mean, it IS called “the most perfect wrong” for a reason.

10 out of 5 stars for me!

If you loved Erin’s first book, you will fall in love with this one too!

I’m not giving this book a rating because cheating tropes and super messy romances aren’t my thing, but I still wanted to share my thoughts.

The first 40% of the book felt overwhelming, both in terms of the amount of information given and how the plot unfolded. There was a lot to take in, which made it hard to fully settle into the story. That said, I could tell Ryan is a good guy, and I think I would’ve enjoyed the story more if there had been clean breaks for both characters before they got involved. If you love high-drama, emotionally complex romances, this one might work for you. But for me, the level of messiness just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Thank you to Erin Cornia and Love Notes PR for my advanced copy of The Most Perfect Wrong to read and review!

If there’s one thing that Erin Cornia is gonna do, she’s gonna make me feel all the feels while reading a contemporary romance.

Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, If It Can’t Be Us, this book allows readers to witness an emotional journey of self-discovery, healing, and love between our two main characters. I will never not appreciate how real Erin’s books are. It’s not a typical romance where everything is all sunshine and rainbows. This one is definitely less heavy than If It Can’t Be Us, but that doesn’t mean it made me any less emotional.

In terms of the tropes, this book contains a good little list. The book starts out with a one-night stand, which obviously backfires, or we wouldn’t have the story. Then we have a reunification with a workplace situationship and forced proximity (traveling together). Flirty banter… I give it 100/10 stars. I was squealing, kicking my feet, begging them to kiss for more than half the book.

I was over the moon ecstatic to see where Leo and Vivian ended up. They were consistent side characters in this one and I was thrilled at where their love story took them.

This one is definitely more smut heavy than If It Can’t Be Us, but they’re TWO VERY DIFFERENT STORIES. I appreciated If It Can’t Be Us not being smut heavy because of the nature of the story. The sexual tension is perfect in both books. I will say that I was more impatient for them to rip each other’s clothes off in this one though.

Such a good book. Such a good series. Highly recommend.

“Sometimes, someone comes into your life when you least expect it, and they become your light in the darkness.” -Cooper

Erin’s writing is incredible, really drawing you in. The absolute rollercoaster of emotions and stress I felt surrounding the toxic relationship was so real and raw. In spite of the pain, and at times numbness, that beam of hope slowly burned brighter and brighter. Ryan and Cooper’s journey was unconventional. Life never goes how you anticipate and can be messy. There’s so much of Cooper I was able to resonate with and can understand why certain decisions were made the way they were. Cooper is sexy as hell and brings allllll the spice. Definitely leveled up from If It Can’t Be Us.

I was also really happy to learn more about Leo and Vivian’s story and catch up with where they’re at in this time period. I originally rated 4 stars instead of 5 because I personally wanted more on Cooper’s healing journey, but Erin has stated there will be more on that in book 4. I’m obsessed.

All. The. Stars!!!

This book grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let go! This love story is absolutely beautiful but it’s not your typical romance. It was raw, emotional, and cathartic, it’s one of those stories that makes you feel everything. It’s about breaking free from toxic patterns, letting go of what no longer serves you and stepping into the life you didn’t even realize you deserved.

I loved that the FMC Cooper had a touch of morally gray. She was so real, so raw, and incredibly relatable! The author captured her life’s struggles in a way that felt deeply personal, showing just how brutal, messy, and beautiful growth can be. It’s about pushing through the pain and in the end finding something better than you ever imagined.

And Ryan!! Pure Perfection🤌🏼 💋
Everyone needs a Ryan in their life! Top tier book boyfriend. Their banter, their chemistry, the laugh out loud moments all felt so authentic. One page had me angry or in pieces, the next had me full on kicking my feet and giggling.

And the spice? OMG 🥵 Sexy, angsty and absolutely everything I could have wanted! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

10/10, highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

cooper wasn't looking for anything serious when she met ryan. one night, one unforgettable connection, that was the plan. no strings attached. now fate’s thrown them back together, but coopers in a toxic relationship and ryan has his own unresolved struggles. the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore the pull between them. what starts as flirtation quickly becomes heated tension.

reading both of erin’s books has been such an emotional experience, the way they are written is beautiful, the character backgrounds are full of depth and the plots are painfully beautiful to read. the most perfect wrong was incredible and being able to relate to cooper in many different ways, made me love her and this book a lot more. my heart really broke for her during this book so seeing her self discovery although sad was so inspiring. ryan was the most amazing (and hot) gentleman, he was flirty but also respectful. multiple times throughout this book i just wanted them to get together but seeing how their feelings were muddled and the struggles they were both going through, it was nice to see that they were both open and knew they needed to wait, even when they didn’t want to.

seeing them both struggle but grow throughout the book was amazing, it felt natural and authentic. i loved their chemistry, it was so intense and there were so many hot, steamy and swoon worthy moments but equally as many funny and wholesome moments where you could really feel the connection shine. this book was fast paced and i couldn’t put it down, their story really gripped me and i loved them a lot. this was just a lovey read and i can't wait for more from this author, so thank you erin for writing such a beautiful but sad story.

Have you ever started a book and suddenly found yourself so absorbed that all adult responsibilities went completely out the window? That’s exactly how I felt with The Most Perfect Wrong. It was such a joy to return to Chicago, but Cooper and Ryan’s story truly captured my heart and didn’t let go. What an incredible journey of growth, friendship, and love. With its perfect mix of heartbreak, laughter, and swoon-worthy moments, this book is an absolute must-read!

This book is AWESOME. Everything was AWESOME. The banter- AWESOME. The chemistry between the main characters- AWESOME. The spice- AWESOME! Did I use the word awesome too many times? NOPE! When you read this book, which you need to ASAP, you will get why this is 100% appropriate (& hilarious).

I LOVED the push and pull that happened between Ryan and Cooper. The push/misunderstandings that take place between them only add to the plot without giving any annoying vibes. The pull/ desire was intense and addictive.

Every emotion hit on high levels in this book- especially scenes involving the trauma dumpster fire named Brad. Woah, was he intense! His manipulative and mentally abusive traits affected me in some PTSD style waves- not in a bad way, more like, I felt seen and understood. The way this book ended left me feeling proud of myself for surviving and thriving after bad situations and finding my self-worth as well as a partner that respected me.

Another emotion that was pulled out of me was absolute, pure joy. I laughed SO hard at so many scenes. Particularly, when Ryan and Cooper got high and were talking about pubic hair! OMG! Leo walking in on Officer Cooper looking for the handcuff key! HAHA! Also, when Cooper was reading Ryan’s diary (AWESOME)!! Holy smokes, there were so many funny things said in this book! If Erin is half as funny as her writing, I need her to be my best friend, okay, Erin?! LOL!

All in all, this book “hit on all levels” as the cool kids say. Give this book a chance- you won't be disappointed! The Most Perfect Wrong release date is March 15th (gives you a few days to binge read her first book in the Chicago series- If It Can’t Be Us).

Thank you Erin and Love Notes PR for sending me an advanced reader copy of this book! I feel so lucky! <3

Some love stories start with the wrong choice…

A one night stand between Cooper and Ryan was supposed to be just that. Until Cooper ends up unexpectedly working for Ryan 6 months later. They both are shocked not only to see one another but to find out some big secrets that both of them were keeping.

Cooper has her flaws but her self reflection and strength throughout the book will have you emotionally attached to her character. She’s been fighting for a broken relationship for far too long. Ryan is also going through an emotional dilemma that only Cooper seems to be able to help him out of. I had a great time reading the banter, flirting, and of course the DRAMA. This was emotional but also funny, sweet, and spicy.

Thank you, Erin and lovenotes.pr for this advanced reader’s copy 🤍

WOW. You don’t get it. This book was amazing. After having read only shit in the last couple of weeks I actually started questioning the book community. Thankfully, Erin Cornia came in to save the day, delivered and left not even a single crump. 💅🏼

This is the second installment in the ‘Chicago series’ and oh, it did not disappoint. After devouring the first book about Vivian and Leo I had high expectations for Cooper and Ryan’s story …and they were met!!!

Cooper is such a girl boss and she knows what she wants or doesn’t want. I enjoyed how she was able to stand up for herself and I was so proud of her when she FINALLY ended her toxic relationship.
Ryan was just a golden retriever, honestly. He was this typical sweet, doting and caring fictional (never met a guy who actually fit those criteria in real life 😭) man. The only thing I didn’t vibe with was Ryan driving a Tesla. Boy could’ve chosen ANY car brand and he went for the one with a clown as CEO. 🤡That really gave me the ick, ngl. I just need to remind myself that it’s just a book. STILL, IT PISSED ME OFF FOR A GOOD MINUTE. 😗🙏

Also, this was such an emotional rollercoaster. Not me going from giggling to staring at a wall and question my sanity. But let me tell you, I am sucker for a good rollercoaster. So, pack your tissues, chocolate and a nice blanket and simply take it in. As mentioned above, Cooper was in a toxic relationship and Ryan, too, is stuck in a predicament. Their way of coping with their trauma is truly touching and …real. Their character development really took place and you could see their growth if you compared their characters in the beginning and in the very end.

Anyway, I can only praise this book! Thank you for providing me with an arc.

laugh, cry, mouth wide open swooning for more details

Erin has a way with words that make you wanting to know what’s going to happen next! The way she’s able to captivate so many raw, real emotions within the first few chapters is unraveling it the best way. Another great read, 12/10 will continue to recommend her books to everyone!

5/5 stars 3.5/5 peppers

Erin freaking slayed this book. It is perfection. Her writing and ability to make you feel so much is just so good.

This is book 2 in a series but they can be read as a standalone (but book 1 was also easily a 5 star read so go read it)

This story is emotional and heartbreaking. Cooper (the FMC) is in the worst relationship but can't get out- which I think a lot of women can relate to. She deserves so much better but doesn't think she does. And Ryan is just literal perfection. He is sweet, caring, supportive. The chemistry between them is palpable. There is so much angst and tension. Its a slow burn but once its burning, its freaking BURNING. There are absolutely also hilarious moments in it too- when she reads his teenage journals- I was CACKLING- it was "awesome" lol.
