Steve Behling must’ve been taking a bit of notes and feedback after that terrible story realize in Donald Wolverine because aside from the insane lack of creativity in the naming department, this crossover issue was way better paced with more of a real arc and story plot that made a kid friendly but still satisfying finish. Truly this one with a bit more love would’ve been a seriously solid issue.
My hopes were high when the intro spoke of Ducksgard and Ducksgardians. But then the characters were disappointing hyphenates instead of clever portmanteaux. Even the dumbest possible ones – Gulk or Hulfy – would have been preferable to Goofy-Hulk.
Another fun book in this very fun series! I have to admit that I think I am kind of into nostalgia right now; I guess everything going on in the world right now has me looking to the past. The great part about reading this comic is that for a little while you can kind of put all the confusion aside and just be a kid again.
Fun story. Not as clever as the Fantastic Four issue, but still fun. I really enjoy these Disney character “What If’s”. I’d love to see them go into the Star Wars realm as well.
