Her partner is behind bars. Her boyfriend just lost his badge. Her retired father is dating her psychiatrist.
And that’s the easy part.
When an explosion rips through the local mall, sending a toxic cloud over Greenham, panic spreads. Terrorist attack? Biological weapon? Or something even worse?
As the dust settles in this explosive final chapter of the bestselling series, Veronica is left with no one to trust. Corruption runs deep and stretches higher than she ever imagined. As she digs for the truth, she unearths something far more her entire life has been a lie.
But someone is determined to make sure Veronica's secrets don’t stay buried. And they’ll stop at nothing to expose everything she’s tried to keep hidden… even if it destroys her in the process.
True story: I used to cut up bodies. No, not for fun, you sickos–for work. After reaching the age of majority and fleeing the clutches of an overprotective mother, I went to university like a good boy.
More than a decade later and an alphabet soup of letters after my name, I found myself looking down the double-chamber of a microscope at an eyeball. Feeling ironically introspective, I decided that it was time for a change.
After seventy plus novels and more than a million copies sold, I’ve found my true calling, one that also includes a plethora of letters. Hopefully you see something in my catalog that you like, something to feast your eyes on.
I also have two spooky podcasts that are appropriate for ALL ages, so long as you like to be scared: P.T. Logan's Five Minutes of Terror and Camp Fear. Both are FREE and available on all podcast platforms. For MATURE audiences, I've created two fiction podcasts, Nightmare Residue and Bad Priest.

I held off reading this last book for a while knowing it would mark the end of the Veronica Shades series which I loved reading. The story is centered around the war on drugs. It tied up all the loose ends from previous books leaving with a satisfying ending to this series.
Well, Patrick Logan has pissed me off again. 5 books, only 5 damned books in this series, and it's over. If there's one thing I hate more than anything else, it's when I get so into a series, get to know the main character to the point that I want, no, I need more. Need to know what happens next, but the author doesn't think so and either just stops the series too soon or kills them off. It's not the 1st character Patrick has left his reader's wanting/needing more. It's really not his fault, I get it, when an author literally can't come up with another storyline for a character and lets the series end, wether its a happy ending or not, it's the best thing to do. Rather than force more out of it or to please their reader's, it's never a good thing for anyone. The story just needs to end, butttttt I've had so many great character's come to an end over the past year, it's like the death of a close friend, and I'm just tired of losing friends. Since I've been reading mostly series for the past 6 years, there have been way too many characters that I've truly related to and now are gone forever. It's always a sad day when this happens and today is no different. I didn't want to like Veronica Shade at first. But she grew on me, then I was hooked. Now, it's over, way too soon, in my opinion, but I trust Patrick when he says she'll show up in one of his other series. So, I can only hope she does. I'd love to see her and Cole get together or heck even Steve, even though that's doubtful. Veronica deserves to find happiness. I'm glad she'll have Chloe, but she needs a man in her life. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully, now Patrick will get back to writing about the characters we've already gotten to know and love. I, for one, am holding him to it. No more new characters until the one's (Beckett) comes back in his series. Pleaseeeeeee Patrick!!!!!!
This is the final in the series about Detective Veronica Shade. She definitely was a complex character and I really will miss reading about her. Just hoping she might show up at another time.
This time the drugs are running rampant in their town. People are dying. Since her boyfriend and Sheriff Steve Burns is no longer the chief. He urges Veronica to run for the office. But does Veronica really want the job?
This one ties those mysteries together and you never know what Veronica Shade gets into this time. Bombs blowing up malls, drug trafficking and even girls missing.
The secrets of Veronica Shade come full circle. So many lives are explained. All of the people in Veronica's life are exposed, her sanity is clearly explained. I liked how you took it back to her life, how she got a new chance for a better life with the sheriff. I couldn't believe how much she trusted some of the wrong people, and the difference she made in so many people for a new outlook on life.
