Oh gosh this is one exciting ebook you really shouldn't miss. Ryder has always had a thing for his best friend Charlotte. So when things go wrong with the guy she's dating, Charlotte and Ryder decide to spend New Year's Eve together. Charlotte has always had a strong connection with Ryder but has kept her passionate feelings hidden. They have such powerful chemistry and they seem like they were always meant to be but will they especially when Charlotte's ex comes calling? Can Charlotte show Ryder what he truly means to her. Does Ryder finally reveal his true feelings for Charlotte and does he do something drasttic to keep her from changing her mind? This outstanding author can add another 5⭐️ hit to her resume. I highly encourage you to get this very spicy exciting ebook. I loved it and you will too.

New Year's Eve With The Mountain Man - Lily Birch

This is a quick paced romance on the go style read. Ryder and Charlotte have been friends for as long as they can remember where they lived on Red Oak Mountain. During their friendship they have both fallen in love with the other but the timing was never on their side as when one of them is single the other is in a relationship. Finally they are both single now they just have to hope New Year's Eve magic is on their side. This is a well written, fast paced story. The characters are likeable but with it being a shorter read you don't necessarily get the scope of emotions and drama a longer story gives. It was an enjoyable read and introduction to this new to me author. Happy Reading.

The story 'New Year's Eve with the Mountain man' by Lily Birch was about the intense feelings a man had for a woman for years, but she thought that they were only good friends. When Charlotte had let him know that she was interested in him years ago, Ryder had politely turned her down because he had a girlfriend at the time. But after he had broken up with the girlfriend and he wanted to take up with Charlotte, she had started seeing a new boyfriend. When she tells him that she has broken up with the boyfriend Ryder has decided that he is going to win her over and finally get together with her. They have made a date to get together on New Year's Eve and he is ready to confess his love for her.

So. Much. Fun! This book was more about interpersonal relationships than plot, and the relationship got VERY interpersonal. I don’t often see New Year’s romance- usually it’s Christmas- so this is a great change of pace. I loved reading about the different Ozark folk traditions surrounding New Year’s. And the bow-chicka-wow-wow scenes were VERY wow and even had some funny moments. This is a delightful book and I’m planning to make rereading it part of MY New Year’s traditions.

However their New Year’s Eve party for two is interrupted by Charlotte’s ex turning up and begging her to take him back. Ryder takes extreme measures to make it clear that Charlotte is no longer available and when faced with the naked truth, Charlotte quickly admits her feelings for Ryder. It’s a New Year’s Eve they won’t forget! This is another great short steamy Ozark Mountain Men read from Lily set in the community of Red Oak Mountain where the guys and gals will get your pulse racing.

Ryder has been in love with Charlotte forever. Even when one was dating and the other not, the feelings never went away and he always yearned for her over the years. Now he has the opportunity to act upon those feelings when Charlotte is available again. They decide to spend New Year’s Eve together. Will he finally tell her how he feels and will she express those same feelings? Will they have a HEA? The plot and characters were well-written. The chemistry between them were outstanding. Highly recommend reading this steamy story.

I have just gotten into reading this author and I have come to really love her work. Yes they are shorter stories but ohhhh so good. The romance is on point steamy and the chemistry and sense of humour with all these Mountain Men are amazing. I love how Ryder and Charlotte love each other but either one or the other are dating someone else. The story flows so well with these two I was so enthralled with the dynamics and the chemistry between these two and add in a meddling ex and spunky friends and we have a thrilling read we don't want to put down. Can't wait to see what else this author has up her sleeve for us

They have been friends forever, they have also been pining for each other forever. Never seems as if they’re single at the same time. However, for the first time in years they are and he’s determined to shoot his shot. This is a quick short story format so you do not expect to get overly detailed character development or complex plotlines, the author gives you enough, feel that you understand the characters. The story is also the series, though can be read as a complete stand alone. This is a sweet story, when the stars finally align, so does their romance guiding them to a happily ever after.

Ryder and Charlotte are super cute together. These two just had bad timing. When one was interested the other was in a relationship and then vice versa. Finally when they both aren't with someone Ryder takes his chance with Charlotte. He isn't going to let anything stand in his way this time when he can finally have his chance with her.

This was a great short story and I felt it gave enough to the story to make it an enjoyable read.

Fun and steamy short story. This has been a great series. Ryder and Charlotte are best friends who each secretly love the other but have had rotten timing. But now each are single and definitely ready to mingle!! Love that they know what they want and support each other’s feelings. I learned a new way to get unwanted guests to leave as well 😁. Charlotte broke up with her boyfriend. Ryder has been waiting for her for 3 years! This is now his chance to declare his love tend to her aching heart and right off into the sunset with her. No problems with the attending to a broken heart, but there is a problem when her ex comes back to the apartments demanding to see her. So this is where it gets hysterical, and unexpected the way to express to an ex, "I never want to see you again!" Ryder's way! Good short read, holiday themed.

This Red Oak mountain couple is one of the cutest ones in the series so far. As the characters intertwine and their lives are interconnected you really start getting to know the characters. I love a series where a whole world of characters opens up and you can follow through the series. The best part of these books is you can read them as stand alone books and still feel connected to the books. I absolutely love these Ozark Mountain Men. Another Ozark mountain man finds his girl. Ryder and Charlotte have had feelings for each other for years but were never single at the same time. Charlotte broke up with her cheating boyfriend just before Christmas and made plans to see Ryder as usual on New Year's eve. The stars align and this seems the time they finally get their HEA. This entertaining book is highly recommended.

Ryder and Charlotte deserved to find the perfect partner.
This wonderful story is full of of interesting New Year’s Eve traditions from Arkansas, a delightful plot, and wonderful steaminess.
The characters are well-written with dimension.
This is a standalone book with no cliffhanger, but you’ll enjoy visits from characters in previous books from this series.
This is a very entertaining book.

A Happy New Year in more ways than one

Lily Birch has a talent for writing these short story romances. They are perfect palette cleanser for dark romance readers. The story moves quickly and is a bit predictable, but that happens when you have a story less than 50 pages long. But even with that said, it was still really good, and I feel as if the book were 400 pages, I still wouldn't have put it down.

Charlotte and Ryder are best friends. But secretly, they both want more because they are in love. Things finally work to their benefit to get together. This story makes you smile because the two characters you are cheering for discover they are not alone in their attraction. It's an excellent book with plenty of spice and steam! I love it!

Nothing is better than finding out the friend you have crushed/loved has the same feelings for you that you have hidden away too. These two best friends finally are honest with each other and when the chemistry that was there and never acted on finally is given into these two friends now will have to navigate in becoming lovers and work together to beat the odds that might hold them apart. This love will be more that temporary, its everlasting.

Favorite of the series! This is a second chance, even though they had never been together. These two have loved each other from afar for far too long. My favorite moment of the tale was when her ex showed up to beg forgiveness. He sure gets an eyeful!
