As the rebellion readies the acquired Titan starship and gets closer to making their escape from planet Ellipsis, they must draw the Solcrue away from the ship's location to protect it. CyberTitan Thruster is their leader in the sky.
Kelta For years, our group of human rebels has stayed in the lonely shadows of the outer rim. But a passing squad of Solcrue discovers our starships. We're massively outnumbered and outgunned. To save me and my damaged fighter from smashing into a Solcrue engine and burning up, my father opens a portal and launches me through it. I tumble beyond the inky water and exit over the surface of planet Ellipsis, where things don't look much better.
My fighter plummets toward the surface among Skysprinters and Titans that rocket through the air. I've fallen halfway across the galaxy into another battle. But the rumors of the Titan survivors are true.
A fire in my cockpit forces me to eject amid the mayhem. My chute shreds before it fully opens. A Titan with jets all over his glinting exterior snatches me up as I'm about to smash into the ground.
There's an odd understanding between us when he sets me down. Enemy Solcrue close in. The Titan's fighting style melds with mine as if we've worked together before. Soon, it feels less like a war and more like a rhythmic dance of destruction.
Thruster's mission is to distract the Solcrue from the business of the rebels. But when the enemy traps him, I know I have to do something drastic. The rebels are counting on a distraction. And the rush Thruster gives me, the way our bodies respond to one other, I can't hide in the shadows like I always have. It’s time I take control and get my Titan back.
Thruster Kelta’s ship was as unexpected as her eagerness to join the battle. She tells me of rebels beyond the solar system, sneaking through asteroid belts. She gives me hope. We aren’t alone in the war any longer.
It’s strange to meet a human pilot, an equal force in the sky as me. Kelta is not afraid of heights or the jets in my exoskin. She is thoughtful and confident in the way she holds me. So many have feared getting close, wary my engines will burn them. But my thrusters always and only ever do as I command. Yet they burn hotter at her touch.
Kelta lights me up in a powerful way.
When the Solcrue capture and torture me to gain information about my Brothers and the rebellion, I steal myself with my self-destruction program. I can overheat and blow any evidence and knowledge to the stars, and put a big hole in their ship. But when Kelta tries to break me free and is captured, I know I have to find another way.
Kelta has the fearlessness of a Titan but the dedication of a human. She’s risked everything for me.
I'll do whatever it takes to break her out.
A steamy fast-love, one-love, cyborg romance featuring action, violence, and cursing.
There is action, danger, pain, suffering, fun, and love. I am enjoying this series.
Beneath their tough exterior lies a big-hearted man more human than machine, who would do anything to keep human women safe.
Thruster is the eighth book in the Hunted Relics sci-fi series, where humans are the lower class, and Titans are used and abused by a race that takes what it wants and spits everything else out. Resistance is the only way to bring them to their knees, and that means uniting machines and humans. If only they could keep everyone safe.
Having lost her mother and a brother in the ongoing wars against the Solcrue, rebel pilot Kelta is portalled away from a battle by her father, only to be dropped onto Ellipsis, where a group of cyber Titans are also under siege by Solcrue. After she’s nearly killed on landing, her rescuer quickly becomes much more to her, and she to him.
Titan Thruster has been a one man wrecking crew, using his enhanced body and its cyberkinetic abilities to punch through warships sent to seek and destroy his fellow Titans and the few humans with whom they’ve joined forces against the Solcrue. When he saves Kelta from certain death, his mating instincts fire on all cylinders and even while in the midst of seemingly interminable battles, he’s determined to keep his precious human alive and by his side.
Sybur Phyre’s brilliant imagination brings the heat and action in this latest installment in the hunted relics series. Kelta and Thruster are perfectly suited to each other, and Kelta’s arrival adds to the backstory of how the Titans came to be trained and their abilities developed. It’s a satisfying read that can work as a standalone, but truly helps connect the overall arc of the series.
I was generously furnished an advance reader copy, and I’m pleased to share my enthusiastic review.
4.25 stars. Kelta, the female human lead, has been raised as a rebel pilot against the modified humans who have taken over and enslaved humans and attempted to destroy all cyborgs. Trapped in an asteroid belt, the modified humans detect her ship and her father teleports her ship somewhere unknown for her safety.
Thruster, the male cyborg lead, has been fighting with his cyborg brethren on a planet. He’s shocked to find a rebel ship crashing and its pilot in danger. Saving the pilot, he accidentally burns her with his body engines. He’s sure he’s not suited to having a mate but the attraction between them isn’t decreasing. With their mutual enemy becoming more creative, Thruster and Kelta must work together to keep themselves alive and the secrets of the rebellion safe.
This novella is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, steamy, action filled, sci fi cyborg/human romance. I enjoyed Kelta’s resilience. I enjoyed Thruster’s unique skill set, and his devotion to Kelta. I enjoyed the intimate scenes. I enjoyed that their skill sets complemented each other. I enjoyed the non-romance plot continuation. I’m looking forward to the next story.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
The Titans are still battling the Solcrue on Elipsis with Thruster as one of their most valuable assets. He grows weary of the constant battle, but he has no other purpose.
Kelts is a human resistance fighter with her entire family. She has lost her mother and brother to the Solcrue. When it looks like she is going to be captured she choses to use her ship as a weapon to take out their mother ship. But before she can do that her father opens a portal and forces her ship through it. He would rather have her somewhere else but still be alive. Unfortunately, she arrives at Elipsis in the middle of another battle. She ends up getting shot down and rescued by Thruster.
Thruster can’t believe he has rescued this beautiful human female but is horrified when he sees the burns on her from his hot engines. He vows to stay away from her to protect her, but Kelta has other ideas!
Thruster fights his attraction but Kelta eventually wears him down. Once he is with her he can never let her go. But when he is taken captive, Kelta will stop at nothing to save him!
Kelta, a human rebel is a fighter pilot on a starship in the outer rim, but the Solcrue have found the rebels. Her father opens a portal and Kelta ends up close to the planet of Ellipsis, as she ejects her damaged ship and plummets towards the surface of the planet.
Thruster, is a CyberTitan that has red hot engines and very reluctant to touch a human as he does not want to hurt them. But when he sees Kelta falling from the sky his instinct is to help her. Catching her, he sets her down on the ground, but he has left red marks on her skin, which saddens him that he has hurt a human.
They fight the Solcrue and wild beasts, but while fighting they connect and romance blooms, culminating with very hot steamy scenes.
A well written book, which carries on the back story of the CyberTitans and human interaction fighting to get off the planet of Ellipsis.
I recommend reading the whole series, although each book can be read as a standalone.
I received an ARC copy from the author and voluntarily leave this honest review.
In a war-torn galaxy ruled by a brutal regime, survival is a daily fight—and hope is a luxury. Rebel pilot Kelta (h) never asked to be a hero. After a deadly ambush tears her from her fleet, she crash-lands on a hostile planet and into the arms of a golden war machine built for destruction: a CyberTitan known as Thruster (H). He’s fast, lethal, and haunted by a past filled with loss. She’s stubborn, sharp, and unwilling to give up on what remains of her people. Together, they’re an unlikely pair fighting through wrecked ships, mutant beasts, and a war that never lets up. As they fight to stay alive, something stronger than survival starts to form between them: loyalty, connection, and a shot at something more. A steamy, high-stakes, cyborg-human, sci-fi action romance, exploring love, sacrifice, resistance, found family, and the strength of connection in a world designed to break you.
If you have been reading this series you will enjoy this latest book. Thruster saves a rebel fighter named Kelta. During a battle in the skies, her father sends her self-made ship straight to the planet where the Titans have been hiding. When Kelta learns his name her mind goes straight to the gutter like mine did when I saw the title. The book is full of the battles you expect and more than once Kelter and Thruster find themselves in hot water. Not to mention the heat between these two. Kelta was my kind of girl for sure! I don't want to spoil the book for anyone but please, read it and you will see the things I enjoyed about it! I received an ARC but my review is voluntary. And while you are purchasing the book, be sure to follow Sybur!
"I would die for Kelta. I know it in every fiber of my being, not because I’m programmed to, but because I want to if it’s her life or mine."
My heart melts every new book, the CyberTitans are strong, resilient but the loneliness and the longing are there in every story. And Thruster is no diferent, this cyborg falls hard for Kelta,a fierce and sassy rebel. Well written with a fluid narrative, good world building, multilayered characters, and a overarching plot that slowly uncovers secrets from their origins. The author knew how to keep the reader in a full engagement with a never ending of action, danger ,enemies and hot steamy scenes. I recomend this series!
This book is a nice addition (9) to the Hunted Relics series. Kelta travels through a worm hole and ends up where she is needed most, teaming with the Relics and their mates to provide safety to humans and each other. Her skills will prove invaluable to the group. The action scenes were thrilling and tense, bringing in characters from past books to advance the series toward its ultimate goal of escape, rescue and protection. While each book in the series has been enjoyable, it is exciting to see the gains made lead closer to a successful conclusion. I rate this book 4.7, rounding up to 5. Thanks to the author for this great addition to an action-packed series.
This series is so much fun. Each MMC has different cybernetic abilities - this one can fly. The MFC is a pilot so they have similar personalities.
I appreciate the acknowledgement of loneliness that runs deep for both these characters, and the need for community and each other. The characters also speak of the importance of females in a super masculine environment,
“Deep down, we need women in our lives, mothers and lovers. You make existence worthwhile in ways revenge can't."
The author is doing a great job carrying the back story along each book. The universe is super interesting and I'm looking forward to future books.
This cyborg military romance story is more than just a smutty romance novel, it's action packed, from the very beginning. Yes, there are a few steamy scenes, but more than that, it's a story about two people (one human, one cyborg) who are extremely lonely and find love in each other's company amidst the chaos of war and constantly rescuing and saving each other. Together, humans and cyborgs are fighting a common enemy and building a family while learning to deal with difficult emotions.
If you're a fan of alien/cyborg romances, give this entire series a try. I highly recommend it.
Brilliant! I loved this story. I was immediately caught by the storyline and felt invested in the characters right from their introduction. The way they are portrayed made them seem so "3D", real, worthy. The resilience of the FMC was inspiring, especially her devotion to Thruster. The writing grows, the plot line is strongly developed, and apart from some typos, I cannot fault it. It was my pleasure to read this story. I'll be looking forward to reading other books in this series. Thank you. I received a free copy of this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sybur Phyre’s Thruster is part of the wonderful sci-fi series Cyber Titans Hunted Relics. Kelta is a human pilot who arrives in the Cybertitans’ territory and meets Thruster and works with him to join the other hidden Titans and their other humans deep inside the mountains prepping to leave the planet using the hidden ancient ship encased in stone. Many great battles occur with the baddies, during which Kelta is “killed” and fitted with a new heart and brought back to life. Amazing plot and characters!
Engaging story in this delightful series. This fast-paced sci-fi action, alien romance story was an enjoyable read that kept me highly entertained. Our characters: Kelta and Thruster were a delightful couple and engaging. Keltra ship is fired upon after her father sent her through a warp hole to save her and descends toward the planet Ellipsis. She's rescued by Thruster. Now they're being hunted by their enemy, the Solcrue. Will they reach safety or be caught? I'd volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received.
Thruster is unique and the way Kelta falls from the skies into his arms is really great. Her background and how she knows so much about building her own ship, and her father and mother's influence on the rebel efforts is so interesting. I also wonder about Killstar. lots of action and it's nice they found and rescued more Titans too. It's all coming together for GO time!
Thruster and Kelta... The stories of the CyberTitans, their mates and other fighters are very exciting. As each Titan finds their mate, their love story spices up the stories. I've read nine of them so far and really look forward to reading the rest of the series. Enjoy!
Kelta is teleported by her father out of a war into a different war. (Her father was trying to save her life) Thruster saved her as her fighter crashed and the bad guys were closing in. Good read! Enjoy
This is my first book by Sybur Phyre and didn't know what to expect going in but can I say I'm far from disappointed? I loved this book so much! From the start to the finish I was engaged and it kept my attention! The writing is incredible as well!
Thruster is book 9 in the Hunted Relics series and I loved that a woman from the Rebellion has fallen from the sky and right into Thruster’s burning hunk of Titan arms. This is another adventure that is in the thick of the battle with the Solcrue. CyberTitans and Humans are still outnumbered and hunted but are grouping together with hopes of being free. There is a lot of action, danger, supportive friends and a little introduction of a new foe… or is she? I cannot wait for the next book to read what happens next!
Wow I loved this book. Poor Thruster didn't think he would ever find a mate than she literally appears from out of no were. I can't wait to read the next Titan's story.
This is my first book that I read in a series and while I am super interested in the world we find ourselves in, it just felt like a lot of story was rushed. The relationship especially
