A very enlightening read for the seeking soul. Gensho Taigu's gentle tone exudes through his tactful approach on every page. Many words of wisdom and guidance from someone who clearly has been an active participant of Buddhism for quite some time. If you are looking to dip your toes in the pool of Buddhist thought, this may be a good starting point.
I very much enjoyed this quiet book of Buddhist advice for a life with less suffering. Nothing revolutionary about it, but it was nice to be able to pick it up and have Taigu's compassionate companionship at a difficult time. The cat cartoons can help cheer you up.
unfortunately, this book very much, so felt like an advertisement for his YouTube channel. Some of the points that were made felt like they were rooted in misogyny as well. I do, however, believe that there was good intention in the writing.
