Sunday Times bestselling author Dr Rangan Chatterjee reveals how to make positive change that actually lasts in his latest, most innovative book to date.
We all have things we rely on going our way to help us feel calm and happy. Your partner waking up in a good mood. No traffic on the way to work. No queues at the supermarket. And no rain on your day off.
But what happens when things don’t work out that way? We fall back on soothing habits. A trip to the cupboard for snacks. Scrolling on social media. A few beers or a couple of glasses of wine after a stressful day.
Make Change that Lasts will show you the nine hidden ways day to day life causes these responses -- and show you how to respond to them consciously.
Blending ancient philosophy with a deep understanding of health, host of one of the biggest podcasts on the planet, Feel Better, Live More, Dr Rangan Chatterjee will provide a personalized approach and simple techniques for reducing our reliance on the chaotic and uncertain outside world.
This book will help you become an expert in yourself - finally unlocking true, long-lasting health and happiness.

Really interesting with lots of little bits I will take away from the book. A fascinating insight into how little changes can support both your physical and mental health.
This is an excellent book. I love Rangan Chatterjee’s Feel Better, Live More podcast, and I was keen to read his latest book after getting so much out of his previous books: Happy Mind, Happy Life; Feel Great, Lose Weight; and in particular Feel Better in 5. I found the alternative perspectives given in this book both interesting and inspiring in terms of ideas for developing a healthier lifestyle. Similarly to his previous books, it has pushed me to think more criticality about my everyday choices. I implemented the idea of taking a holiday every day straight after reading Happy Mind, Happy Life, and have found a few simple ways of doing this first thing in the morning, so that it doesn’t get lost in the rush of daily life. Thoroughly recommended!
I listened to this book on audible, made all the more powerful as it is narrated by Dr Chatterjee. What an amazing book, full of thought provoking ideas and strategies to help you make changes and ultimately feel good in body and mind. Off to listen to all of Dr Chatterjee’s podcasts and hope to listen to his other books too.
I’ve read and loved all his previous books 📚💕 …I had pre-ordered this one almost a year ago… but I’m sad to say I didn’t enjoy it like the others… I will give it another listen, but it just felt like a rehash of previous work or like a bonus podcast episode rant 🫣🫠
Another great book with actionable tips for improving your health/life through habits and lifestyle changes - I enjoyed and have listened to his previous book a number of times, I will definitely also come back to this one in the future!
I’m a long term listener of Dr. Rangan Chatterjee’s podcast (Feel Better Live More) consequently I’m usually fairly familiar with the key messages in his books, and so it proved with Make Change That Lasts (2025). In this one Dr C advocates understanding the root causes of unhealthy habits rather than just focusing on surface level behaviours. Often these unhealthy habits are linked to emotional needs.
As usual Dr C provides accessible, inspiring, practical ideas for healthy living and how to make lasting positive change in your life.

It's a book about approach to life that has a potential to impact our physical and mental wellbeing. It talks about the effect of modern life comforts being negative to our health. I really like the book perhaps due to a bias and the fact that it confirms many of my own beliefs and observations such as: - impact of stress on autoimmune illness, pain, and chronic conditions - some religious rituals in fact are quite positive and put in place with good intentions to make our life better such as a rest day(Shabbat, Sunday), fasting etc. - the essence of a good life such as connecting, hobbies, nature genuine human connection as opposed to consumerism, material wealth, status.

great storyteller, I appreciated the examples of how he changed his life and what he's done to thrive! some points of his were belaboured and references to figures and doctors were foreign to non UK residents Overall,a worthwhile read to get back on track and makes simple changes to love your life!
