Another age gap, mafia, quick read, with an obsessed hero, a heroine in danger, and a never-ending happy ending, with the 🔥 spice and breeding factor specific for this series.

I liked this one, 3rd one in a row I read from this series, and probably that's why I felt the pace off. Even though everything happened in the span of two days 🤷♀️😂. But in the end, I loved how obsessed and overprotective he was, but also he just wanted to support her in reaching her dreams.
Their happy ending and epilogue were adorable, even though no 15 months old baby talks like that! So I chose to think that the epilogue is at least 3 years later, not only 2 😂.

Wow, this might be my favorite Evie Rose novella yet! I love mafia kingpins. I love how obsessive, possessive, and controlling they are. Grant was no different! Jessa was a little stronger than most mafia princesses I've read about, but that didn't change the fact that they are FIRE when they get together!

Okay, let’s keep it real, this one was pretty “meh” for me, compared to the others from this series that I’ve read so far.
The plot felt underbaked, the spice was lukewarm at best. If the premise still sounds interesting to you and you’re looking for something with actual heat and heart, i would recommend skipping this.

It was incredibly enjoyable and well worth the author also did a great job at maintaining the characters throughout the story (strong female lead). Though the ending felt a bit rushed, I was excited to hear there’s an extra chapter!

I listened to the audiobook adaptation. However, Goodreads doesn’t have said adaptation available on their platform.. that’s why I went for the Paperback edition instead.
A forced mafia marriage? Okay, I was intrigued. The set-up had all the potential for some fiery tension and power play, but… whew. This one veered into bizarre territory fast.
Look, I like my alphas intense, but this one? Someone hose the man down, please. And I mean, writing your initials in your own cum on her body? That’s not dominance, that’s… dermatologically concerning.
There were glimpses of spice, sure, but the whole thing felt like a fever dream I couldn’t quite recall afterward. It’s like I blinked and the plot disappeared along with any emotional connection. I wanted mafia heat, not mafia whiplash.
This just wasn’t it for me, love.

This was so hot in the most short and sweet way! The blurbs for all her other books read exactly the same as this. So I’m unlikely to read more of her books, or at least not right away. But this was all the praise kink, and obsessed hero stuff in a short enough span for it to not get tiring. Also - it’s wayyyy more respectful than most books with the same premise. Was actually quite impressed to see how it balanced that. So yeah - good fun.

Grant is the Mafia King and has been stalking her for years. He gives her an ultimatum get to his front door before him and he’ll let her go. Fast paced steamy read with a great morally gray hero and I loved it.

Definitely my favorite in the series. Loved their banter and passion. Plus the well timed humor. Despite the story's length the characters had a good connection. Grant was swoon worthy, and Jessa didn't get on my nerves 😂.
The spice was well written, and the ending was chef's kiss.
And the audiobook is amazing!

It's steam filled and drama as well, with not much mafia involved. Like the second in command we don't even get to see him, but he isn't even there, so that's useless information. Especially in such a short story as this one.

This book has about 10 pages of plot and 85 of sex. She calls her kitty, her “passage” only 5 times in the entire read but it’s going to feel like she said it 100 times.
