Richard Weems is the author of Anything He Wants, winner of the Spire Fiction Award and finalist for the Eric Hoffer Book Award, as well as the collections Stark Raving Blue and From Now On, You're Back. He is also the author of the Cheap Stories eBook series. His stories have appeared in North American Review, The Gettysburg Review, Other Voices, The Mississippi Review, and other publications.

There are some books you read because of the hype, or because they have a catchy title or striking cover art. This is not one of those books. Richard K. Weems collection of short stories is as tight and captivating of writing as any award winning author. You can read his stories and think, I know that person, or I've been in that situation. Some characters are humorous, some are scary, but they are all memorable. The only puzzlement is why Richard K. Weems is not a better known writer.
