What’s cozier than a road trip with a brooding vampire who’s allergic to the sun? A road trip with a brooding vampire at Christmastime, obviously.
Holly Winters is on the run, and not just from the loneliness of the season—this time, it’s from the mob. Witnessing a hit has landed her on the naughty list of some very dangerous men. Her Christmas escape plan goes off the rails when she’s cornered at a snowy train station. Enter Nicholas tall, dark, mysterious, and just a little undead. He saves her life, but his price for protection? Holly has to drive him home.
For Nicholas, this road trip is nothing but a means to an end. He’s a centuries-old vampire with no interest in sugar cookies, snowmen, or the ceaseless hum of Christmas carols coming from the human woman in the driver’s seat. But as they navigate festive small-town stops and late-night conversations, Holly’s holiday cheer begins to thaw his frosty demeanor.
Holly isn’t sure what’s that she’s road-tripping with a vampire, or that her grumpy, gorgeous passenger is somehow inspiring all kinds of holiday feelings she wasn’t expecting. And Nicholas? He’s starting to wonder if maybe, just maybe, this sassy, sunshine-filled human is the greatest gift he never knew he needed.
Get ready for a road trip full of Yuletide cheer, irresistible banter, and some very heated silent nights!
Silent Nights and Vampire Lights: A Grimm Mawr Holiday Romance is a short and steamy, paranormal, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine girl gets her vampire Christmas romance. Holly is a human baker who is on the run after witnessing a mob hit. Nicholas is a hunky, grumpy, centuries-old vampire who saves her from attack. These two form an unlikely alliance, friendship, and more as they journey together. This was such a fun and festive read with lots of danger, drama, laughs, hot chemistry, love, and eventually an HEA. This was my first book by this author but not the last. I absolutely loved it.

6 / 10 ⭐️ Romanatsy / Sobrenatural (vampiros) / Novela Corta / Navidad / He falls first
When Holly (h) witnesses a mob hit, her quiet life as a baker is turned upside down, leaving her running for her life. Nicholas (H), a centuries-old vampire burdened by his past and estranged from his vampire family, intervenes to save Holly from her attackers at a rural train station, the beginning of an unusual alliance. Nicholas’s reluctant act of heroism pulls them into a road trip neither of them planned for, and one that will change their lives forever. As the Christmas season unfolds around them, Holly and Nicholas deal with the dangers of hitmen, the complexities of vampire politics, and their own growing connection. Holly’s warmth and resilience challenge Nicholas’s brooding isolation, while he shows her a kind of loyalty and protection she’s never known. But Nicholas’s fear of his family’s judgment and Holly’s uncertain future threaten to keep them apart, even as their bond deepens. After Nicholas makes a difficult choice regarding their relationship, he'll have to convince Holly to trust him with her heart again. Hot and steamy vampire-human Christmastime romance, with action, wit, and a generous dose of holiday cheer, exploring love, connection, redemption, second chances, belonging, trust, change, and transformation.
Holly is a baker and she saw something she shouldn't have seen. Now she's running for her life. If they (whoever they are) find her she's dead. Then she's grabbed from behind. Nicholas is a vampire and headed home to Grimm Mawr. He's been away for decades trying to help smooth over vampire/human relations. As he's getting onto the train he smells a delicious scent. When he looks out he sees a woman running to the train with two males after her. They grab her. Nicholas saves her and when she sees what he is she faints. When she wakes she's in her car and the vampire is driving. As they discuss what's going on she agrees to drive him home. He promises to help her disappear. Now here they are stuck together driving hundreds of miles. She is driving him crazy. She has a habit of singing Christmas songs. He doesn't like it. But slowly his weary and jaded heart (or whatever it's called once not human) and he comes to like her. He knows she is his but that wasn't the promise he made her. He can't take her home or someone in his clan family will claim what is his if he can't claim her. So he must give her up. Or can he? Can he change her mind? A beautiful story of a human female who comes to learn about vampires especially the one she is "stuck" with.

Silent Nights and Vampire Light de Sabrina Silvers
Argumento:
While I really enjoyed them together this book was a huge mess that didn't make sense whatsoever (spoilers ahead):
they said ily in second act but then in third act she's surprised he said he loves her...again acting like that was new info when he literally said it for first time two days prior and he acts like that's the first time he said it as well? Then the mating bond being all over place didn't make sense since he shouldn't have been able to stay away or abandon her. His hot and cold was annoying too. Also his very valid reason for keeping her away from his fam for her safety is then turned into him being afraid of love umm what? Also his eye color changed one chapter to another: it was dark brown almost black then silver then amber? The editing was nonexistent it feels on this book that's only excuse I can think of for this messy plot jumping around/contradicting. It's really too bad because this would have a fun unique take on a Christmas book: I mean you have a vampire who saves someone and then makes her drive him half across the country home and she makes him get into the Christmas spirit lol but with all the mess contradictions it ruined it for me.
4.25 stars. Nicholas, the male vampire lead, is returning home after being away for decades because he believed that human-vampire relations could be established but others didn’t. About to board the train in a safe sleeping carriage, he is drawn to save a woman running from males.
Holly, the female human baker lead, witnessed something she shouldn’t have and now there are organised crime thugs chasing her to silence her permanently. When Nicholas saves her, she’s shocked, but she’s flummoxed by his demand that she chauffeur him to safety, even if he is offering her a new identity.
As they travel, they find themselves attracted to each other. But Nicholas remembers his home as being distinctly unsafe for humans and there’s nowhere outside it that is particularly safe for him…
This novella is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, opposites attract, contemporary, vampire/human, Christmas romance. I enjoyed Holly’s determined optimism in the face of her challenges. I enjoyed Nicholas’, initially grudging, acceptance of Holly’s foibles and detours on their trip. I enjoyed the way they learned to care for each other. I enjoyed the resolution for their love and am hoping this is the beginning of a series from the author.

Silent Nights and Vampire Lights had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading the book. I absolutely did NOT want to set this book down for a single moment, I was completely captivated from beginning to end. This book has a captivating plot, wonderful characters, and a marvelous outcome for the main characters. I immediately fell in love with Nicholas and Holly as the main characters. I absolutely adored witnessing their relationship between Nicholas and Holly and I love that they got a happy ending. Author Sabrina Silvers has created another masterpiece of a romance book that I found to be quite entertaining and enjoyable to read. This is a book that I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone to checkout and give it a read. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing books from this author in the future.

He picked up a scent, looked, and saw a woman being dragged into an alley.

Set in a charming Christmas backdrop, this short, steamy romance is full of heart, drama, and humor. Nicholas is the perfect grumpy yet protective hero, while Holly is the sweet sunshine girl who steals his heart. With plenty of banter, heat, and a satisfying HEA, this is a quick and enjoyable read for a cozy afternoon.

Holly Winters witnessed the murder of her boss, and now she must run from the mob intent on silencing her. She almost makes it to a train when two men grab her and begin to drag her away. Luckily for her, however, Nicholas Frost, a vampire, rescues her. In return, he wants her to give him a ride home and he will continue to keep her safe. Holly brings joy to him on their travel with her upbeat attitude and love of the Christmas season. But he is concerned that she won’t fit into his lifestyle or family and he doesn’t want to put her in any danger. Will he have to give her up to keep her safe? Or will love find a way to keep them together?
This was not what I expected it to be. I was pleasantly surpised of the angst and the story within a story.
Nicholas is more effected by his past of being a vampire and Holly efected by abandonment.
The anxiety of Christmas and going home, and being chansed by hitmen gave the story the depth that most dont find in 300 pages.
A cup of teas/hot chocolate and a nice blancket and prepare to laugh and cry while falling in love and learning that sometimes your past influences your future if you never change!!!!.

A great fun short story to read. Nicholas, a vampire on his way home, saves Holly and they begin their journey to escape the mob. It’s a light hearted story mostly but there is an undertone of whether Nicholas’s family will welcome him home. When Holly and Nicholas finally get together there are some steamy nights ahead. An enjoyable story with a HEA.

Fun holiday vampire read that was surprisingly good. It might be an odd premise, but Sabrina Silvers does a great job pulling this off. Nicholas and Holly go off on a road trip and have an intense chemistry that surprises them both. Well-paced, with interesting characters, sizzle, steam, and a few surprises. A solid 4-star read.

A sweet and fun Christmas romance. Holly finds herself on the run from the mafia after witnessing a kill and finds herself saved by a vampire who only wants a lift home as payment. Nicholas isn't interested in the Christmas spirit Holly fills her car with but travelling together at nighttime he finds himself slowly growing fond of the cheer and the driver.

More than a few laugh out loud moments as a vampire grinch and his sunshine human navigate Christmas festivities! Loved the chemistry with these two and enjoyed the underlying character development. Nothing like upending assumptions to keep it lively!.

Nicholas was such a hilariously grumpy grinch while Holly was a total ball of Christmas sunshine. I loved how they tolerated each other out of necessity at first before slowly falling in love.
