Sermon Craft
Preaching is not an art, it’s a craft and that is good news for anyone who is called to preach but this book doesn’t just offer good news for preachers - it also offers a lot of very practical help.
When you are learning a craft, you often start with some formal training and then move on to an apprenticeship under an experienced veteran. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who finds themselves being called to preach. Whether just starting out or been in the biz for a bit.
AJ does a great job of breaking down all the elements within the book into bite sized pieces where you can read a chapter, reflect and keep going.
It’s easy on the mind when it comes to understanding and packed full of great advice that you can take or leave, fully knowing that it was written to support you regardless of how much you take from it.
