Final Flight de Dare O'Dell serie Intergalactic Warriors libro 0.5
Argumento:
El guerrero intergaláctico Jo'Nay ha encontrado el lugar perfecto para acabar sus días... en la Tierra. Lo que no espera encontrar es una hembra hermosa y herida que le atrae como ninguna otra. Ella es la criatura más suave y delicada que ha visto en todos sus cuatrocientos años luchando para proteger las galaxias. Y ahora la ha descubierto cuando sólo le quedan unos días de vida.
Tras un accidente de coche en medio de la nada, Winn es rescatada por un elfo gigantesco y guapísimo. Bueno, él se hace llamar vettian, pero parece un enorme elfo bronceado con largos cabellos de ébano, ojos negros como la tinta, orejas puntiagudas y cejas invertidas. A pesar de su miedo, se siente fascinada por él y, una vez que le demuestra que es un alienígena y que no tiene intención de hacerle daño, no puede apartar las manos de él ni él de ella.
Ante la inminente muerte de Jo'Nay, Winn está ansiosa por enseñarle la vida en la Tierra, tanto en la cama como en las fiestas de Halloween de un pueblo cercano.
Pero el festival ofrece mucho más de lo que ninguno de los dos espera.
¿Qué ocurre cuando surge el amor verdadero? ¿Y cómo manejarán todo lo que se interpone entre ellos?
Mi humilde opinión:
Final Flight es la precuela de la serie Intergalactic Warriors, un romance de ciencia ficción y fantasía con pasión y dulzura, pareja destinada con un guerrero alfa y una humana que encuentran juntos una segunda oportunidad para vivir.
Me gustó el aspecto de los WI, eran como elfos oscuros extraterrestres? Su historia de fondo me habló de conspiración, poder y engaños. Me gustaría que Jo'Nay encuentre a su unidad de guerreros que también están por morir para que busquen respuestas de lo que les están haciendo en su planeta. Seguramente esto sucederá en los próximos libros.
La historia de amor fue instantánea, dulce y sexy, jugó mucho el día de Halloween, así que tuvo su lado divertido pero lo más sorprendente fue conocer que la salvación para Jo'Nay estaba en la tierra y no era Winn sino las manzanas!? Ok… Por ahora me dejó intrigada, así que iré por el siguiente libro a ver que sucede.

Cute Story
Have to admit it took me a minute to figure out that this was a retelling of the Johnny (Jo’Nay) Appleseed story, lolol! When I did I almost groaned but then figured it was a cute and clever story twist that I could forgive it. Of course, I don’t think that the real Johnny Appleseed was anything close to being a big sexy alien on a mission to keep from dying before his time but, hey, who am I to tell anyone that he might have been, haha! Regardless, this was a cute intro story to this series and a fun read.

A Different End
With the conviction that he has just only days left of living, Jo’Nay finds a planet that looks like his home and settles down in a wooded area with a small cabin. Then he hears a cry for help and finds Winn, who has crashed her car due to a road crossing dear. The story tells their starting romance and the way their lives will be altered forever. Sweet interaction, funny situations and it leaves you with wondering what will happen next. Great start of a new series!

Fantastic story.
This is a well-written start to the series. A HEA HFN ending that leads directly into the next book, very smoothly. The MC’s are easily likable, going through their own existential crisis, before the universe steps in. I felt engaged and invested in these characters, their experience, and development. Bittersweet turning into shining possibilities. Absolutely loved it! Thanks for a great read. I’m off to find the next book.

This is an interesting prequel for a new series. Both Winn and Jo'Nay have serious challenges facing them. Their time together will necessarily be short, but they cannot help falling in love with each other. I loved both characters and their banter. They had great chemistry, and I am very curious about what will happen as they travel the galaxy.
