The Doctor's Second Chance

Rate this book
A beautiful, uplifting medical romance from Alison Roberts. Perfect for fans of Jo Bartlett, Helen Rolfe and Grey's Anatomy! She was protecting her heart by running away, now he’s back in her life and one night is going to change everything

Dr. Felicity Slade has come to the small coastal town of Morriston for a quieter life - and to distance herself from gorgeous paramedic Angus McBride. She's always known that Angus thrives on the drama and danger of his job with the Specialist Emergency Response Team, and she has never been able to cope with the fear of losing him. So she had to walk away to protect her heart.

But her peace is quickly disrupted when she’s plunged into a critical emergency situation and she’s immediately out of her depth. But the last thing she expects is for Angus to turn up as part of the medical response team, and her feelings are thrown into confusion (and secretly relief.) As they battle through the night to save the lives in their care, it becomes clear that Angus has changed and together they’re a really strong team. Even though she feels safe working with him, she knows her heart is still at risk. But could this one night with Angus be what changes everything…forever?

I was born and raised in Dunedin, New Zealand, but had my first year of school in London, UK and the second in Washington DC. I became a primary school teacher and began writing when I was living in Glasgow, Scotland for two years and teachers were all on strike. My first novel was a medical thriller with a good dash of romance thrown in.
I have now written well over a hundred romance novels with more than a dash of medicine thrown in. I love weaving the emotional journey of a love story through the background drama the medical world can provide. I also love the rabbit holes I can go down in the name of research.
Above all, I love romance. And a happy ending!
