Years ago I died and came back to life, and now I know the truth. Hell is real. We’re all living it. I've seen things that would make your skin crawl and your heart race. Ghosts, demons, fallen angels—you name it, I've faced it.
This collection brings together all my cases, from the dark alleys of Haven to the depths of Hell itself.
So, if you're ready to walk the line between the living and the dead, join me in "Hell In Haven" the Nick Holleran Case Files. Just remember, in my world, nothing is ever as it seems.

David Green is a neurodivergent internationally best-selling writer of the epic and the urban, the fantastical and the mysterious.
With his character-driven dark fantasy series Empire Of Ruin, or urban fantasy noir Hell In Haven starring Haven's only supernatural PI Nick Holleran, David takes readers on emotional, character-driven, action-packed thrill rides that leaves a reader needing their next fix.
Hailing from the north-west of England, David now lives in County Galway on the west coast of Ireland. When not writing, David can be found wondering why he chooses to live in, and write about, places where it constantly rains.
This collection of dark and gritty stories following paranormal investigator Nick Holleran as he navigates the complexities of human reality and hell taking up the same space is great fun. I loved the film noire vibes and enjoyed the twisty turns of the plot. The worldbuilding though is what really stands out. The concept in and of itself is great fun and the author has done a great job bringing together the lore from a range of sources and creating something intriguing and unique.
While Nick himself is a bit of an ass, his brash ways work for this urban fantasy setting and the over-the-top gory messes he ends up landing face first in in his attempts to clean up and make the world a safer place.
The monsters are fun. The action is filled with surprises. And the found family element added a sweet touch. 4.5 stars.
Nick thought his life was over, but it wasn't. Now Nick is solving cases in Haven, but nothing is what it seems. Full of amazing characters, fast-paced action-packed.
