Orc Mate Selection #3

Claimed by the Orc Assassin

Rate this book
When I said I wished my life was less boring, having an orc mate was not what I expected.

The town of Destiny always felt small and suffocating, but now it was just…strange. First, there were the disappearances, and then, the most adorable man I’d ever seen showed up at my job, and then kept showing up. I should be worried, but something about Mahk drew me in, and I found myself not minding my little stalker too much. He was just so innocent, and curious about the oddest things. I wanted to wrap him up in a blanket and never let him go.

But then all that changed one night and I discovered the truth. Mahk was really an orc and lived in a completely different world than me. If that wasn’t hard enough to believe, he then said I was his mate, like fated mate, but those don’t exist outside of romance novels, do they? I planned to laugh it off, but despite calling Mahk my little stalker, I was the one who couldn’t stay away.

Claimed by the Orc Assassin is book three in the multi-author series, Orc Mate Selection. While it can be read as a standalone, they are best read in order.

⭐️ 4.5/5 — Sweet, vulnerable monster love with all the fated mate goodness. 🥹❤️‍🔥
🌶 4/5 — Wickedly filthy, emotionally charged, and packed with possessive claiming and knotting. 🥵🔥

Never have I expected that the final book in the series would give me a subby orc who bottoms and a top dominant human who takes care of each other so beautifully. It’s like this unhinged cinnamon roll wrapped in a knife collection just stabbed me right in the heart—and I’m obsessed. This messy, fierce love blindsided me, and I wouldn’t trade a single damn second of it. 🥹💘

📖 The Premise 📖

Tanner — a small-town gas station cashier — is being stalked by an orc disguised as a human.
Obviously he should call the sheriff, right? Nope.
This reckless idiot actually looks forward to seeing his adorable, knife-wielding stalker every day. 💀💚

🗡🧑🏻 The MCs 🧑🏻🗡

Tanner — 23yo, small-town gas station cashier, ex-football golden boy who ditched his shot at a pro career to carry the crushing weight of eldest child syndrome™—five siblings, a sick mom, and zero time for dating. A dominant caretaker who’s been running on sacrifice his whole damn life. Also? Lowkey obsessed with morally gray characters in his mangas… so yeah, maybe falling for a literal assassin checks out. 💰👨‍👧‍👧🏈

Mahk — The Emperor’s personal assassin from Belzod. Violet-eyed, tattooed, half-brother to both the Orc Lord and the Orc Emperor. A sweet, clingy, subby orc who turns into a cold-blooded, knife-happy killer the second you cross a line. Efficient, terrifying, and somehow adorable. Family means everything to him—especially those two older half-brothers… until Tanner shows up and rewires his entire damn soul. 🗡🩸☠️

🤣 Mahk’s Tips on How to STALK… ADORABLY 🤣

💀 Lurks in plain sight. Always stand right out in the open so Tanner knows you’re watching. Stealth is for amateurs. 🧍🏼‍♂️👀
💀 Ask, “Have you eaten?”—three times a day. Non-negotiable. Consistency is key. 🍽🔑
💀 If he says no? Buy his favorite food… with extra veggies he didn’t ask for. 🌮🥦
💀 If he says yes? Demand details. If it’s not nutritious enough, buy his favorite food anyway. Also… extra veggies. 🥬🫑
💀 Always eat with him, and—while he’s distracted—sneak more veggies (and dessert) onto his plate. 🥗🧁
💀 Google “how to keep your human alive” like it’s your new religion. 🔎🩺🩻
💀 Google “how to woo a romantic interest” and bring him a custom bouquet of flowers tailored to exactly what he’d like. 🧐💜💐

❤️‍🔥 The Chemistry ❤️‍🔥

This isn’t just heat—it’s heat with teeth. Yeah, it’s got that fated-mates insta-lust spark, but it’s also the angstiest, most emotionally raw book in the series.

It’s also slow burn compared to the first two books—hell, the first kiss doesn’t hit until halfway—but when it does? Holy fuck. The dam bursts. Mahk melts into this sweet, subby mess who lives for Tanner’s praise, while Tanner turns into a protective, grounding force who adores his little stalker just as much as he owns him.

It’s vulnerability and tension wrapped in a mating bond that’s equal parts romance and obsession—and when the emotional dam breaks, the physical one explodes right after.

🌶 The Spice 🌶

We’re talking:
🔥 Vers, mating bite, and outdoor claiming scene sex
🔥 D/s undertones so thick you could spread them on toast
🔥 Subby assassin bottom who whimpers like he’s being worshiped every time Tanner touches him
🔥 Top dominant human who goes from “wtf?” to “you're mine”
🔥 A dirty-talking, knot-curious top who knows exactly how to break an orc down into a gasping, begging mess 🥵

It’s intense without being wall-to-wall porn—which only makes the filthy parts hit harder. And yes, there’s knotting. And yes, you’ll be clutching your e-reader, wide-eyed, thinking holy fuck. And yes, you’re going to bookmark at least one scene… and then come back to it in the dead of night, alone, with the lights off, just to feel it all over again. 😏🫣🤫👀

🏁 The Ending 🏁

✅ Two years later, still fucking like animals and loving every filthy second.
✅ Mahk as the perfect passenger princess, riding shotgun looking hot as hell.
✅ Bigger house, more space, fully accessible for Mom—family life leveled up.
✅ Tanner’s shifted gears from cashier to college and assistant football coach.
✅ Jake, the breakout MLB rookie, making the family proud at his first big game.
✅ Family squad all there—Mom, Mahk, Tanner, sisters, and the whole vibe of home.
✅ Mahk still the efficient assassin but balancing family life like a boss.
✅ Raw, real, unfiltered love—still horny, still obsessed, still family.

It’s domestic, it’s heartwarming, and it made me want to slap both of them for being so in love. Just the ultimate soft shit that leaves you both horny and emotionally wrecked.

📝 TLDR 📝

If you're into:
🔥 Slow burn-ish fated-mates with heartfelt angst monsterfuckery
🔥 Subby assassin orc + dominant caretaker human dynamics
🔥 Found family mixed with slice-of-life vibes
🔥 Raw, clingy, filthy love that hits all the feels

Then dive right in. This one’s gonna wreck you—in the best way. ✨️❤️‍🔥💦

Quotes:

I probably should’ve been more freaked out because I was like 95% sure he was stalking me, but, and this is fucked up—if anyone called me on it, I’d deny it with my dying breath—I kind of liked walking into work every day and knowing that this adorable man with blue eyes so dark they were almost purple and ridiculous, out-of-season, brightly colored outfits would be there, waiting for me, watching me.
-
He was around 5’9””, the top of his head coming just below my nose. It was perfect. I could easily tilt my head up to kiss the top of his head.

Which I didn’t. Obviously. Because that would be weird. Why would I want to kiss my stalker in any way at all? But just saying, if I did want to, it would be easy.

Fuck . . . Maybe I was the creepy one in this relationship, or whatever you wanted to call it.
-
For someone who had been human his whole life, Tanner wasn’t very good at it. They were very vulnerable. So many things could kill them! It had been terrifying when I’d first started researching everything I’d need to know to keep Tanner safe.
-
Now, I understood my brothers’ obsessions with their mates. I thought they were simps? It was nothing compared to me. I was the biggest simp to ever simp.
-
“Please?” I batted my eyelashes. Tanner seemed to like when I did that.
“Fine.” See, I told you he liked when I did that.
-
Mark was standing there, shirtless by the way, cleaning himself off with a towel I’d found in the back, grinning innocently at me and batting those thick eyelashes in my direction, which I was like 87% sure he knew drove me wild.
-
I already knew I was purposely ignoring the one million red flags surrounding Mark. It was my toxic trait. I always went for the morally gray ones in anime and movies. Hell, sometimes even the morally black ones. Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen? Fuck, the things I’d let that asshole do to me.
-
“Are you okay, Tanner?” I loved the way he said my name. Like it was the most important thing he would ever say.
-
All I thought about was Mark’s orgasm expression as he ate and how he tried to discreetly fill my plate with more food when I wasn’t looking, but I always noticed. He seemed to have a thing about feeding me vegetables.
-
My heart fluttered as I smiled at him. How could a man be a walking red flag but so sweet at the same time? And why the fuck was I falling for him?
-
He was the one dragging some monster I’d only seen in anime or read about in a monster fucking smut book to the sink pit and yet he was scared of me?

He sounded so panicked that I wanted to give him a hug and tell him that everything was okay, and seriously, what the hell, survival instincts?
-
I was fine. This was fine. Everything was fine.
I was only holding hands with a disguised, giant green being I’d been certain was fiction only an hour ago, after watching him dispose of another of his race.
Just another Thursday.
-
“You have the same pretty eyelashes in this form. It’s my fucking kryptonite.”
-
“You’re my fated mate, Tanner. You were meant to be mine, and I was meant to be yours.”
-
“Take all the time you need, lulekai. I will wait for you.”
“But aren’t you stuck here, unable to get home?”
“It would be worth it. I’d miss my brothers, but I would wait a lifetime if it meant I could eventually call you mine.”
“Fuck, you can’t say stuff like that, Mahk. You know what that does to me?”
-
“You don’t need to walk me back. I’ll be fine.”
“If you do not want to walk with me, I understand. I will follow you.”
“Have you been following me home a lot, Mahk?”
“Almost always, unless I had a lead on Koth and had to work. But even then, I came to check on you afterwards.”
“You know, most humans frown on that kind of behavior. We call it stalking.”
-
“Fuck, little stalker, you are so sweet. I can't get enough.”
“You can kiss me any time you’d like, Tanner. I always want to be kissed by you.”
“You can’t say things like that to me, sweetheart. I’ll take it seriously.”
“I hope so. I am being serious.”
-
“Lulekai means protector in my native language. You are always caring for and protecting everyone else, and you forget to protect yourself.”

Well, damn, I never expected to get a fucking boner from learning a new language, but that had to be one of the sweetest and most meaningful things anyone had ever said to me. And here I was, calling him little stalker. I needed to step up my game.
-
“Fuck, darling, you make such pretty noises.”
“The store. Now, little stalker. If I don’t fill you soon, I’ll lose it.”
-
“Today I really want to be inside you. Are you okay with that, sweetheart? We can do something else.”
“I want that. I want you inside me, to mark me as yours.”
“Don’t say shit like that to me, little stalker. I’ll leave marks all over your body so everyone, both orcs and humans, will know you’re mine.”
-
“You’re so fucking beautiful, Mahk. Inside and out. You are the best thing that ever happened to me.”
-
“Fuck. Mahk. You take my cock so good. You’re such a good fucking boy. So pretty, so tight. You like being stuffed with my cock, baby?”
-
“That’s not fair to you, sweetheart. You shouldn’t be the only one compromising on everything.”
“This is one I am happy to make. I’m growing to like this world a lot, and I love your family. They need you. I understand that. And I need you. Whether our main home is here or my world matters very little to me as long as I can be with you.”
-
“No killing anyone please.”
“How about some light maiming?”
“Mahk . . .”
“Fiiiine. But if they come for you, I make no promises.”
-
“Don’t orgasm yet, lulekai. I want you to find your release locked on my knot with my teeth in your neck.”
“Yeah, well, maybe don’t say shit like that if you don’t want me to shoot my load early.”
-
“I’m ready, sweetheart. You won’t hurt me.”
“You’ll tell me if I do, right? Promise.”
“Yeah, I promise I’ll tell you. But Mahk, I trust you. Fill me up, baby. Let me finally feel that fucking knot exactly where it was meant to be.”
-
“I won’t be long. I promise, Tanner, I will be back.”
“I know you will. Doesn’t make it any easier. Come to my place as soon as you get back please. I will be waiting. Come back to me.”
“I will. I swear it.”
“I love you, Mahk.”
“I love you too.”
-
Little stalker,
I packed you some snacks for your trip back to my house. I hope your family was well and you enjoyed your visit, but I can’t wait till you're home. I’ll be waiting for you.
Love,
Lulekai (I really hoped I spelled that right.)
-
“Did you have a good trip?”
“Yes, I saw Nash and his mate, Kai. It was lovely. I brought back pleasure oil. A lot of it.”
“Jake is spending the night at a friend’s house, so we have the room to ourselves.”
“I like the sound of that. I need you. We separated too soon after mating.”
“I know. I ached for you all day, even though I was thrilled you could finally get home.”
“I am home. Right here with you.”

This book was sweet! Like awww my babies kinda sweet.

This book flipped and reversed the formula of the first two in this series and I really enjoyed it. Tanner is babygirl and deserves everything good in the world. I love a family man!! Mahk (I kept saying Mark with a Boston accent tbh) was written in such an endearing way and felt fresh compared to the other Orcs.

Was this series life changing? No. Will Chelsea find something to complain about? Yes. (love you bub 🐀) Would I pick these up again for an giant orc schlong filled poolside read? Absolutely!

I've never read any of the authors work from this series, excited to add some of their other books to my tbr.

!! I don't equate fiction stories to real life. It's a matter of personal taste and what you are willing or want to tolerate in the books you read. We all have different opinions and preferences when it comes to the kind of books we enjoy, so it's important to respect and remember that it's just a book!!

“All I thought about was Mark’s orgasm expression as he ate and how he tried to discreetly fill my plate with more food when I wasn’t looking, but I always noticed. “It would be worth it. I’d miss my brothers, but I would wait a lifetime if it meant I could eventually call you mine.”

“Thank you, sweetheart. You’re right. Roses aren’t really my thing. But these, I love. It’s like a rainbow.” I knew my mate would love them! I brimmed with pride from knowing I’d pleased Tanner and at how well I already knew my mate.

* Fyi about 🌶️ levels: I rate spice on a combination of quantity, quality, length, intensity and explicitness of the scenes. K!nks are listed separately and generally do not directly affect the steam level to keep it fair for non k!nky books.

This is a monster romance, featuring Mahk and Tanner, and is book three in the Orc Mate Selection multi author series.

Tanner’s boring life changed when a sweet, strange man named Mahk kept showing up at his job—and he couldn’t help but like him. Then he finds out Mahk was actually an orc from another world and believes Tanner is his fated mate.

This story was a little slower than the other two, but it was so flipping cute. Mahk was completely besotted with his mate and Tanner was drawn to his little stalker.

I loved this series. I’ve pushed myself to read more books out of my normal go-to and I’m glad I did.

Things to expect in this book are:
Book 3 in series
MM monster romance
Slow burn
Orc x human
Insta-love
Fated mates
In the human world
Hiding Orc form
Light stalking
Hurt / comfort
Caring for ill parent
Spicy times
Marking
Knotting
Calls him little stalker

I really enjoyed this multi author series about Orcs finding their fated mates. Three orc brothers...with this book, Mahk the youngest of the three...an assassin sent to the human realm to capture and kill a criminal finds himself stuck which he knows that his fated is out there somewhere...so when he lays eyes on the buff human Tanner...instant connection. This was so sweet and gave me all the feels. Tanner and Mahk both have protective and nurturing nature that you would think it would be too much...OTT...nope...just sweet...a lil angst due to Tanner's baggage but Mahk is all in and willing to wait for his mate. Yeah mannnnnnn...all the feels with this one. The epilogue was wonderful. Ending like it suppose to be...everyone happy...NICE!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

It was okay, but compared to the other two, especially volume 2, it was very short, not thought through to the end and I just missed something.
First of all, the villain was built up so strongly over the other two volumes and then it ends like this...unspectacular?
I would have just wished for more impact. Secondly, it was super irrelevant that Mahk was an orc and an assassin. Both were mentioned a few times, *shoulder shrugging* and off they went. It was super irrelevant to the story and was only mentioned because of the mate thing and his monster dick...Stop, sorry my bad, really, he is actually a bottom. Monster dick is irrelevant too... 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

A MM Paranormal romance with Orc in human world (google's a help 😆), royal mission, fated mates, sweet stalking, size difference, dreams, family, & all in a small town!
This was a fun, fluffy, quick book. It's book 3 in series & I read it 1st (it wasn't difficult to understand), devoured my #ARC in 4hrs. Loved Mahk & Tanner.

Mahk is an orc assassin sent on a mission to exterminate an attacker. M's free spirited, a lil naive (as he's new here?), thoughtful, stabby exterior with subby inside!
Tanner works in local convenience store, with responsibility of his whole family on him. He's caretaking, worries, cautious-ness clashing with curiousity, deliciously dommy!

The book is short, so the story takes itself fast paced. It works, even if we get some time jumps in places I'd've liked more lingering on. I loved how M's shorter than T in his human glamour but taller as orc 🤤. Love me vers couple!

The plot handled itself quickly, M's efficient eh? It was sweet seeing M woo T & take care of him, how T's family interacts with M 🥰. I felt for T, how he'd to give up his dreams 😭. I understood T's worries & M's patience for him. The ending & epilogue was good. I do want to explore the orc world, which I guess we see in book 1 & 2, gotta try 'em soon!

This is the third book in the multi-author Orc Mate Selection series. While the story continues on from the previous book. this is the first book that I have read in the series and I was able to enjoy it without any problem. This is the story of Mahk and Tanner. Mahk is the Royal Assassin from Belzod on his home planet. He has come to earth to track down the rogue orc Koth. Using the magical device that gives the illusion that Mahk looked like an ordinary human, he heads towards the town of destiny to hunt his prey. The fact that the barrier between the worlds disappeared once he walked through gives Mahk the not so subtle hint that his mate is somewhere on this world. It is shortly after that he sees Tanner. He immediately is enthralled with him. He watches him to ensure he is safe when he isn't tracking down Koth. Tanner is the eldest sibling in his family. With his mother so severely sick, he has taken to the care and feeding of his siblings. And if he had to give up all his football and university dreams to do so, so be it. Family is everything to him. Tanner is kind, friendly and more than willing to stick up for the underdog. Since he feels a peaceful warmth from Mahk he doesn't worry about being watched. In fact, Tanner names him his stalker in kind and not frightened way. This is their story. The book is well written and easy to read. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. I liked how Mahk would do anything for Tanner and Tanner didn't want him to give up on anything that Mahk wanted. The two of them are perfect for each other. I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. I really loved this book! It is a fun read.

I wasn't sure about this one going in. I loved RS McKenzie and Lee McCormick so when this one starts with Mahk going through the portal to the human world after Koth and then the portal closing I wasn't sure how it would work. Mainly because I couldn't figure out how no-one would notice to big green orc running about Destiny. But it did work and it was so good.

Don't get me wrong I loved Axum and Nash and the fact that they were the more dominant when it came to their human mates Kai and Rainn but there was just something about Mahk going from stabby to subby with his human and for some reason I loved that Tanner called him little stalker. It should have been a bad thing but I was a cute little pet name.

I also loved that Tanner wasn't bother than Mahk or Mark was an orc. I'm going with this being because of the mating magic otherwise i'm pretty sure he would have been freaking out.

I already didn't like Koth but even I wanted to get stabby with him when he ruined Mahk unicorn shirt

Claimed By the Orc Assassin by Jacey Davis is book 3 in the Orc Mate Selection multi-author universe series. I read and enjoyed book 2 (by Lee McCormick), so I was looking forward to this book. In book 3, the orc assassin, Mahk, travels to Earth to find and assassinate Koth after he threatened and harmed the human mates. I loved how Mahk had a way to look human to blend in. I loved how he knew immediately that Tanner was his mate and how he took to stalking him to stay close. The nickname that Tanner had for Mahk was the absolute best (Little Stalker). I just really enjoyed all the aspects of this one (the hurt/comfort, the way Mahk was willing to bend for Tanner and be what he needed, the magic). I cannot wait to go back and read book 1. I know I did it out of order, but I don’t feel like I misunderstood any parts of the story. It was still a fun ride!

I received an ARC from the author for my honest review

This one is different in that it’s set entirely in the human world. Mahk has to pass through the portal to hunt down Koth. But once he passes through it closes behind him. Which means he has to find his mate and bond him before he can go home. It doesn’t take long to find him. It also doesn’t take long for him to find Koth. Koth is dealt with very quickly and takes a lot of the tension out of the story.

Mahk was sweet. Being set in the human world he didn’t know how a lot of things world and it was cute. He was also the first of the orc MCs to be a bottom. This book was the least smutty of the three but it was also a little slow. Although I thought book 1 was a little too sickly sweet at the time, I think it ended up being the most exciting one of the series.

Tanner’s quiet life in Destiny takes a bizarre turn with mysterious disappearances and the arrival of Mahk, an endearingly persistent admirer. Drawn to Mahk’s innocence and odd curiosity, Tanner finds himself unexpectedly attached—until a shocking revelation changes everything. Mahk is actually an orc from another world, and he claims Tanner is his fated mate. Though the idea seems absurd, Tanner can’t shake his growing bond with the being who was once just a harmless stalker.

I enjoyed this story which was different to the previous two as this time home was not on the other side of the portal. Tanner was very accepting of all the strange events but there was no angst or real discussion of them. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

I'm so glad Mahk got his HEA, finally! This world was so much fun to visit and the characters fun to get to know. The c-store destruction scene was a bit out of nowhere and never really explained, but overall, I very much enjoyed Tanner & Mahk's love story. Mahk was sweet, adorable, protective, and I loved the differences between them (when he's in either form, but especially his true form), & how Tanner's also the protective sort, and, in one form at least, that he's the bigger partner. I just loved delving into this whole series; I'm a fan of each of these authors, individually, and it was a definite pleasure seeing how their styles blended together. Well done!

This was surprisingly sweet (even with the hurt/comfort in Tanner's family background) and not dark at all (except the battle between Mahk and Kohn).

Mahk and Tanner were very cute together, and they're both so endearing. Medium burn, and spice only in the latter half like the other two books.

Unlike the other two, this timeline is after what happens in the previous books, so this can be read as a complete standalone, though I think the beginning could use a bit of a recap for those that haven't read the other two books. It was a bit jarring to get right into Mahk going through the barrier and then it goes straight into the story.

Overall, I still enjoyed it.

Claimed by the Orc Assassin is Jacey Davis' contribution to the Orc Mate Selection three author series. It can be read as a series or a standalone, the timeline does overlap with the other books. I have to say it's been my favorite thus far. Tanner & Mahk are just too cute together, they have a low heat, slow burn relationship, and things get spicy later in the book. Quite spicy.
This was a great monster/human tale. Fast paced and lots of fun. I am sorry that this is the last book, because the entire series was absolutely lovely.
I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.

Mahk and Tanner won over my heart

Okay but... Why were Tanner & Mahk SO FREAKING cute together?! 🥹🥴 I truly loved their entire journey, and I loved the change up from the other two, having this one set in the human world! Interesting change of pace and worked out perfectly 🫶💜.

This was a great conclusion to the Orc Mate series and I was OBSESSED with Mahk & Tanner's entire dynamic 😍. It was also cute to see how Mahk interacted with Tanner's family as well. This is definitely a soft romance for those that are familiar with Jacey's other works but it's no less amazing and definitely still hits the spot. Plus the spice was 🥵🔥.

Definitely check this book out when you get the chance 💗💯.

Sweet mm orc read!

I loved this story!
Mahk, a royal assassin in his realm, is the sweetest and playful being in the human world. His mate is a perfect match! To read their love story as it unfolds was so sweet and so endearing. The connection and chemistry was instant, but their love and respect of each other was obvious, even in their early stages. I love the Mahk took it slow, knowing what his human mate needed.
This whole series has been great! This is a must read for mm monster lovers.

In the third book, Mahk the Orc Assassin pursues Koth into the human world, disguised as a human by magic. There he encounters his human mate, Tanner. It's a sweet story I quite enjoyed, possibly my favorite of the three. Mahk will do anything for Tanner and is so protective. Tanner is accepting and self sacrificing for his family but still slightly dominant with his mate. This has been a fun series to read with all the books individual and yet still fitting together. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.

This book is part of a series, but it's the first I read and I could enjoy it fully.
Family here is quite important to both MCs, in fact is the reason they meet and makes their journey together a more complex.
Mahk was a surprise to me, I expected a hard and jaded character when in fact he is quite sweet and charming despite his profession. Tanner is perfect for him.
This was a sweet story quite a surprise from this author, but quite lovely so I think is a good contrast and perfect for a pick me up reading.

Orc Mate Selection was such a fun, interconnected series!

In the last book, Jacey Davis gave us a cute subby orc with a tendency to get a little stabby when provoked. And, Tanner... when he took charge, let's just say, I loved every minute of it.

The little role reversal of the human being the dominant one was a fun little twist.

The strong family vibes were another thing I adored about this book.

Read if you like:

* Orc Assassin x human
* Subby orc with stabby tendencies
* A little light stalking
* Obsessive vibes
* Knotting

Out of the 3 books, this one feels like the more natural to me : the characters didn't lose their brain over lust because they were mates. They kept their rationality, asking themselves the right questions before forming the official bond and this is what pleased me the most. They cared about each other and yes, there was smut, but it wasn't overwhelming like the first 2 were they met the eyes and wanted to jump each other from day 1. Here, they took the time to learn about each other and to fall in love. Really, it was my favorite couple out of the 3 books!

I was hooked on Mahk's amusingly possessive and dirty yet somehow still cute thoughts from page one! He spots Tanner and that is all that had to happen. Obsessed! I loved how descriptive Jacey was with these two. I could picture Mahk's in both his forms so clearly. Perfect length read to get to know them and have their relationship evolve. I enjoyed seeing Tanner learn there are ORCS! And Mahk having two different sizes was so much fun.

I found this story a sweet and steamy read. Mahk and Tanner are both charming characters and make a cute couple. Their story moves at a good pace and I was quickly pulled in. It was fun to watch their relationship take shape and deepen as they spent time together. I enjoyed the interactions between the two and how nicely Mahk fit into Tanner’s life. They prove to us that good things are worth waiting for.

I had a fun time reading this! It was light hearted and enjoyable and easy. Low angst, monster, MM romance about an Orc and a human. Mahk crosses the barrier into the human world, trying to find Koth, who escaped into that world. He finds himself stuck, though, until he finds and mates with his mate. He meets a convenience store owner, Tanner, and instantly falls for him.
It’s light hearted and sweet and I enjoyed Tanner and Mahk’s relationship!

Claimed by the Orc Assassin is absolutely adorable with a side of danger and some serious romantic tension. Mahk is a soft, curious cinnamon roll of an orc with a deadly skill set, and his connection with the skeptical, snarky human is both cute and compelling. The pacing is quick, the romance feels fated in all the best ways, and it’s impossible not to root for them. This entry adds charm and character to the series while still keeping things deliciously steamy.

This book is the last of the series and it was different than the others. Mahk the orc assassin travels to the human realm where he meets his mate. Tanner is taking care of his big family, he has lots of worries and responsibilities. Their path to mate ship is not as easy as it was in the previous two books. It’s short, but kinda sweet and emotional story. I really enjoyed it. The epilogue was amazing 🌸

Tanner and Mahk story was interesting with a side of thrill, danger, and adrenaline.
Mahk’s courtship was endearing, and I really appreciated Tanner’s reaction to the paranormal.
They had their difficulties along the way that were resolved together. I appreciated their trust and communication and their care for each other.
I enjoyed their story and hope to see more of the characters.
