This was a balm to my soul. I truly savored every page. I read just a little bit each night before bed, and it was a lovely ritual. I know I will pick up this book again and again. It would make a lovely gift.

Montenegro’s book is tender, almost like a pocket-sized therapist. She treats worry not as a defect but as a habit to be gently retrained. Using exercises, visualizations, and soothing prose, she shows how worry can be managed without shame. What I appreciated was her lyrical touch—this isn’t clinical CBT language but something closer to a poet’s. Reading it while Puja’s cacophony raged outside gave me small islands of calm. The book is medicine in tone as well as content. It doesn’t dismiss worry—it listens to it, and then helps you let it go.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me an ARC of this book for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Short and sweet! Full of beautiful art and many wonderful ideas to combat anxiety. I liked how these ideas were inclusive of many spiritual practices, and proposed ways to incorporate them into a larger spiritual practice. I also adored how the author started each chapter with a personal anecdote about combatting anxiety.

Will be getting a copy for myself to refer to and start collecting little helpful practices. :)

“Even in seasons of scarcity, there is joy to find and savor.”

This book was some nice food for thought! I appreciated the way it was divided up. Each little blurb/story had some reflection questions/prompts to work on. The artwork was beautiful as well! I think it would make a nice piece to work through as part of a daily meditation or journaling practice.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. Opinions are entirely my own.

This contained a range of “worry medicine” from new, helpful suggestions, to gentle reminders of things we’ve all heard before, to downright bad advice (ie - if you’re worried, drink a glass of water).

I really enjoyed this book. Lots of "woo woo" wisdom and just simple acts and affirmations to help ease anxiety. Very nature based with some ancient teachings as well.

This book is okay, but these are basically the teachings of Witchcraft with a modern twist. Read the original tenements of Witchcraft if you want the basic understanding of the practice.
