Meh. If this had been fleshed out and a full novel it might've been good. Otherwise it was rushed and entirely too reliant on the past between the two MCs to carry the entire story.

What ruined it for me was finding their son. The immediacy of him calling Matteo papa and Lili mama and just accepting he'd been lied to his entire ten years of life was outrageous. And to jump a week later to her and Matteo getting married and describing everyone getting along and talking about the future? 😂

Mannnn what a joke. Matteo was the enemy his entire life. I don't see Angel so easily accepting him in less than a few months even for his baby sisters sake. Same for Omar who loved to talk about wanting to beat the hell out of Matteo in his book.

So excuse me if this happily ever after was just a little happily absurd for my tastes. None of it made any sense. Especially Angel with his self righteous controlling nonsense! There was NO way he'd just accept Matteo into their family or that Lili and him had a son together so quickly. Doesn't matter that Matteo helped them put Felix away.

So yeah, what could've been a good wrap for the series was just rushed and unbelievable.

I enjoyed getting to read Lili’s story as she is such a powerful character in book 4 and 5. As a novella, you don’t get a lot of the background but there’s enough to make your heart melt for Lili and Matteo’s relationship. They could have had a full length novel themselves. As the last story in the series, I enjoyed having a final glimpse of all the characters and a feeling of conclusion. I felt it was the perfect ‘cherry on top’ for the entire boxed set. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Oooh I wish this book was longer ! A great little round up Matteo and Liliana get the shock of their life’s when matteo father drops some bombshell news. They just need to find a way of making everything right
