A hopelessly romantic, make-you-feel-it, small mountain town love story charged with heat, humor, and heart.
Indiana Holmes assumed moving two thousand miles from home would free her from painful reminders of her past—until she ends up on the doorstep of a man who stood her up three years ago.
Restless, and in desperate need of a change, Indiana is looking for an escape from her life in the city. When an unexpected opportunity presents itself, she throws caution to the wind, jumping at the chance for adventure. With views like these, she was prepared to fall for Silverthorne. She wasn’t prepared to fall for her landlord—the single-dad next door.
Knox Holloway has happily devoted the last three years to raising his daughter. Having had his life flipped upside down once before—he never would have guessed his new tenant would be able to do it again.
Quiet and reserved, Knox has spent every moment since he became a dad making sure his life is consistent and predictable. He’s been fine with letting his love life take a backseat—until a woman he never thought he would see again moves into his guesthouse, bringing feelings to the surface he didn’t know existed. Indiana is impulsive, achingly beautiful, and everything he’s ever wanted but didn’t know he was missing.
When Indiana’s charm starts chipping away at Knox’s armor—days spent admiring one another in the sun turn into nights wishing they weren’t spending alone.
As feelings start to bloom, like the wildflower field that sits between them, they both have to decide if holding onto their own secrets and traumas is worth losing the all-consuming love they’ve found. Will the truth set them both free or will it be the thing that breaks them in the end?

This book is the third in the series, but don't worry—you can enjoy it as a standalone! It's an easy read with characters you'll love. I always find the setting in this series to be cozy and picturesque, which makes it even more enjoyable. The chemistry between the main characters is fantastic, and I loved the family dynamic in this story.
Meet Indie and Knox! Their story kicks off when they first meet at a bar and feel an instant connection. Knox asks Indie out, but then he disappears on her. Fast forward three years, and Indie moves to a small town to work in a bakery, only to bump into Knox again. Knox turns out to be the owner of the guesthouse where she's staying.
Knox is a small-town lawyer who's a bit broody and reserved, preferring quiet and his routines. After a life-changing call tells him he’s going to be a dad, he moves back home to take care of his daughter. For three years, he has poured all his love into caring for his daughter, Hazel. But when Indie shows up, he feels that spark again.
Indie is the new manager at Winnie’s bakery, and she's ready for a fresh start in this small town. She's affectionate, independent, hard-working, and just plain sweet! I loved how her sunny personality draws Knox in and how she bonds beautifully with Hazel. Watching Indie break down Knox’s walls and earn his trust was such a joy. There’s even a twist in the story that took me by surprise and made my heart break for Indie.
The romance between Knox and Indie is a lovely slow-burn. Their relationship unfolds naturally! They spend time together, share stories, watch movies, and have dinner together. Their love is just the sweetest! I loved how Knox's family welcomed Indie with open arms, making her feel like she truly fit in. Overall, this book is an easy, heartwarming read that wraps you up in warmth, and I'm excited to read the next book!
4.5⭐️ | 2🌶 I wish I could bottle the feeling of this book and pour it onto the paper with my review on it. Everything about this book felt like a comforting hug. I've wanted Knox's story from thr beginning and I know he'd be such a great mmc. This book also felt like a painful hug. The kind where you know why but don't want to believe it. All this to say that, although I was so livid at Knox in chapter 36 (iykyk), i ADORED this book with my soul! I loved how soft and yet, how loud Knox loved Indie & Hazey and the same goes how Indie loved Knox and Hazey. I cried. I cried for Indie and for Lo. Please check your triggers. Silverthorne will always be home to hugs... of all sorts. Thank you to Bea for the arc
Silverthorne isn’t just for lovers…it’s for everyone! If you have not read this series yet, I highly recommend! Bea knows how to write swoony, small town romance with deeply relatable characters that you will fall in love with. Knox is a single dad, who likes his quiet life with his daughter Hazel. Indie is new in town and in need of a place to live, and wouldn’t you know it, Knox has a small cottage on his property that would be perfect. What his sisters don’t realize is that Knox and Indie have met once before.
Indie is the sunshine to Knox’s grumpy side, but she has scars and secrets that she’s trying to move on from when she moves to Silverthorne. Getting to watch Knox and Indie connect and come together was just everything. Their chemistry is natural and the banter between them is top notch. The way Indie takes to Hazel so naturally had my heart bursting for all three of them. The burn is slow, but when the spice hits...you.will.melt.
The family connection in this series is deep and you will truly be invested in this crew! I think you could read this as a standalone, but you also don’t want to miss the previous two books!

ARC Review - Huge thanks to Bea Borges for the opportunity to receive a review copy of Worth the Want!
⭐️.5 rounded down - There was very little about this book that I enjoyed. In all honesty, it should have been a DNF, but I had invested so much time into it that I chose to stick with it until the end - skimming the final 20%.
The majority of my complaints about the first half of the book are primarily centred around structure - writing felt clunky overall, there were a few plot holes, and for some reason, I just really didn’t feel the chemistry between the MCs.
The first 60% felt more aligned with a closed door book in terms of writing style - using euphemisms instead of direct statements. After the 60% mark, things took a 180 when the MCs have their first kiss, and I felt like I was reading an entirely different book.
It was the second half of the book that tanked my rating - the dominant reason being an unexpected virgin FMC trope. While the author has included a vague “I’ve never done this before” on a few of her social media posts promoting the book, this statement could have been in relation to anything - sexual or not. I’m not used to this type of thing popping up in a book without warning as I usually see the “Virgin FMC” trope clearly indicated/advertised for other books that include it. I actively avoid this trope, and really wish the author had been direct about its inclusion.
From there, the first time the MCs become intimate in this way (and during the FMC’s losing of her virginity), things got even more uncomfortable. There is a 15 year age gap (27/42) which made the virgin thing even more of an ick for me. Then, completely out of the blue, the MMC tells the FMC to “come for daddy” (a kink that was not explored at all prior to this scene). I literally gagged. I really should have called it a DNF when it was announced that the FMC was a virgin…
The rest of the book attempts to pack way too much into the far too little space that remains.
🌶️🌶️
— Spoilers Below — In the final 20% of the book, we witness… - A huge twist where we find out the FMC’s sister that she is constantly talking about and seemingly writing to and leaving voicemails for throughout the book is actually dead. - The MCs have a massive fight in front of his entire family which is never fully resolved (or resolved so quickly that it is brushed under the rug and the entire family - who was upset about what they witnessed - just goes on about their lives with no explanation of what happened or how it was handled). - A violent attack of a secondary character which was clearly intended in part to set up a future book/series, while also allowing the FMC to right her perceived wrong (her inaction during her sister’s death).
ONE of these events would have been plenty to act as a climax, but instead, we were dealt three major conflicts back to back to back that could not be fully explored (or resolved) in the space they were given.
It felt so good to be back in Silverthorne! I’m in love with this sweet small town series and Worth the Want was no exception. Bea knocked out of the park again and has quickly become an auto-buy author for me. The chemistry between grumpy Knox and sunshine Indiana (Indie) was so good. Their banter had me giggling. I loved how Indie was instantly drawn to Knox’s sweet daughter Hazel. They formed their own bond that was so special. This book was sweet and spicy but also had me crying at certain points. I related to Knox so much as a parent. He is always thinking about his daughter and putting her above all else but also feeling exhausted trying to make her childhood great. Indie was amazing at helping him carry the load without any expectations. I also loved seeing the entire Holloway family and couples from previous books. I can’t get enough of this found family and I’m ready to head back to Silverthorne as soon as possible!
Worth the Want | Bea Borges | Silverthorne is for Lovers series book 3 | 8.8.25 ✨grumpy x sunshine ✨SPD rep ✨single dad ✨grief/loss ✨second chance/missed connection ✨found family
This book took me on a b emotional journey. Indiana meant Knox and they made a date for the next day but life made him stand her up.
Now they meet again 3 years later. Knox has a beautiful little girl and Indiana has her own scars and secrets. But both can’t help think fate brought them together for a reason. But can they overcame the past and create future or will they let their insecurities ruin them?!
I really enjoyed this cute small town, single dad romance.
Knox is hard headed and rude to anyone that isn’t his family/friends but he’s so protective, loving and god he’s the best dad.
Indie is so sweet and is just trying to live life to the fullest. She brings this whole new light to Knox’s life and it was beautiful to see. I loved her interactions with Hazel, who by the way is my favourite kid from any single dad book I’ve read.
Their dynamic together was something special and it was lovely to see Knox let Indie in.
The only part that bugged me was I do think Knox needed to grovel A LOT more. Indie let him off way too easily and that annoyed me.
Overall, it was a super cute single dad romance with great characters.
Worth the Want, book three in the Silverthorne is for Lovers series, has completely stolen my heart (after wrecking it a little bit). If you haven’t read a book by Bea before, let me convince you to pick up this one!
Indiana “Indie” Holmes is starting over. She’s taken a huge risk and accepted a new job in a small mountain town in Colorado. From the moment I met this character, I immediately adored her. Indie is resilient, funny, whimsical, and a little lacking in the boundaries department.
Indie is engulfed by the Holloway family, starting with Winnie, the owner of the bakery she was hired at, to Knox, who begrudgingly lets Indie stay in his guest house when her original plans fall through. Winnie is the cheerful new friend Indie was desperately in need of, whereas Knox is a grumpy enigma who can’t seem to say anything nice at first.
But Indie isn’t the only one who needs a change. Knox is a single dad who’s been handling everything when it comes to his daughter. Hazel is the most important thing in his life and he’s kind of a control freak about it (understandably). However, having a younger, slightly wild, pushy young woman around makes him question everything in his life.
This is a beautiful love story and is absolutely swoon-worthy! But it’s even more than that. It’s an emotional novel about friendship, family, grief, and belonging. I would personally like to thank the author for the very therapeutic tears that reading this book elicited. I felt this book so deeply and simply inhaled every word. Yes, it made me cry, but I also laughed plenty of times! Indie is an absolute riot, as are the rest of the Holloway family. I have a serious soft spot for Winnie, Ivy, and Florence. Also, special favorite character shout out to Hazel, the most adorable little girl I’ve read about in a long time!
All that being said, if you’re in the mood for a gorgeous, funny small town romance with plenty of emotional depth, please pick this one up! It is the third book in the series, so you can absolutely start with book one, Worth the Risk, or just dive right into this one, because it will make sense as a standalone as well.
P.S. This book has a ton of Harrison Ford references, which made my nerdy little heart so happy!
"Being with Indiana is wanting in all forms and all definitions. I want her wholly—mind, body, soul. In every lifetime, in every timeline; she is worth the want."
Worth the Want was so beautiful and tender. This story was seamlessly paced and accurately depicted a true relationship between two people- who despite their obstacles, accepted loves call. Bea does an exceptional job at making you adore her side characters. Not only are they charming, but their relationship with the main characters enhances the intentional emotional impact that hits you like a truck you didn't see coming.
Indiana and Knox's chemistry was palatable from the moment they meet three years in the past and present. I appreciated the time it took them to give in to their feelings and attraction as they slowly chipped at each others walls. Not only was it crucial to their individual character arc, but also extremely crucial for the reader, as there is an age gap and child involved. It's evident that Knox's world is, Hazel, and would move mountains to make sure her life is full of genuine love and care; Indiana nurtures that while forming her relationship with Hazel, which comes easy to both without pressure.
The conflict in the story, although resolved quickly, was a testament to the communication and comfortability Knox and Indiana built. Not all disagreements are prolonged within a relationship. This is something that severely stuck out to me and I appreciate immensely as a reader. I cannot express enough how profoundly this story moved me.
Thank you to Bea Borges, for allowing me the pleasure to ARC read Worth the Want. I am going to be circling back to the first two books within the series. You have a forever reader in me.
This book is releasing on August 8th and will be available on KU. Do yourself the favor and read it.
‼️Please be sure to read all TW/CW before diving in. Your mental health matters.‼️
“Silverthorne may just be a small town, on a map in Colorado, but it’s helped to heal more than one wandering soul.”
Worth the Want, book three of Bea Borges’ Silverthorne is for Lovers series, follows the love story of Knox Holloway and Indiana Holmes. Having met at a bar in NYC three years prior, Knox Holloway was the last face Indiana thought she’d see upon arriving in Silverthorne. Each facing their own struggles of the past, they find that through friendship, love, and the acceptance of one another, they can open up and heal from past trauma.
🤍 Small Town HEA 🤍Second Chance Romance 🤍Found Family 🤍Age-Gap
How lovely it is to be back in Silverthorne! It may sound silly, but when you’ve familiarized yourself with a supporting character over the course of a few novels, you worry about continuing to fall in love with them in their starring role. Readers were already aware of the many lovable characteristics and personality traits of Knox, but I loved seeing the other sides of him as well: nurturing father, protective brother, passionate partner, hardworking lawyer.
I immediately fell in love with Silverthorne’s newest resident, Indiana Holmes. While processing trauma and grief, she presented herself with so much spunk, a passion for nature, and opened her heart to the coolest toddler. I’ve always appreciated Bea Borges for giving her characters a voice, becoming the hero of their own story, and for showing that anyone is deserving of love and a happily-ever-after.
I must admit, age-gap novels are not my go to, but with this being a Bea Borges novel and Knox Holloway’s story, there was no question whether or not I’d read it! I really enjoyed how Bea portrayed the characters age gap, it was so tastefully done. Jokes were made here and there but it was done with sophistication; their ages and the gap didn’t become the whole identity of the relationship.
•••••••••• Thank you Bea Borges for the opportunity to read and review Worth the Want. I found myself tied to this novel with so many personal connections (dragonflies being one), that it made for such a deeper read than I anticipated. Thank you!! ••••••••••
Another wonderful installment in this series from Bea! I've loved each book even more than the last. This one had me in my feelings the whole time! From the moment they met, Knox and Indiana were so fun. I really enjoyed their banter and when they finally meet again, I was so excited to see how it was going to pan out.
Knox's daughter Hazel was the cutest thing!! I loved how easily she took to Indie and how everyone really brought Indie into the fold. I love a good found family trope and this one was so beautiful!! I loved seeing everyone again from the previous books, this family and small town is full of so many wonderful characters.
This story had everything you could want and so much heart!! The way these two came together was so sweet to read and their seamless chemistry was so good!!
Do check the content warnings as there is some heavier stuff in this one, but Bea handled the tough topics with such care. Thank you to Bea for the ARC!
Thank you so much to Bea Borges for trusting me with an advanced copy of Worth The Want! This was my first read from Bea and it definitely didn't disappoint. Sweet, spicy romance, set in a beautiful mountain town. Indiana is in need of a fresh start so she ends up moving to this small town to work at a bakery. Guess who ends up being her landlord for her rental? The man who stood her up years ago, Knox, a now single dad. Their connection had me swooning, giggling and also tearing up. There were so many emotions to work through, and the author handled grief and trauma beautifully. I loved Indie and Knox, quirks and all, I was cheering for their second chance (And for that adorable little girl) so hard. It was definitely slow burn, but in the best way possible. This story is all about second chances, healing, and choosing to fight for love, even when it's messy.
Grumpy x sunshine Single dad Age gap Grief/trauma Small town
Small-town grumpy x sunshine? Single dad with a heart of gold? Age gap?? SIGN ME UP.
“Worth the Want” is Bea Borges at her best—raw, tender, poetic, and spicy enough to make you blush and cry in the same chapter. Set in Silverthorne (aka my fictional safe space), this third installment hits deep in the heart and doesn’t let go.
Knox is 41, broody, and emotionally closed-off (classic grump energy) while Indie is 27, full of light, and trying to live life on her own terms. Their chemistry? Instant. Their journey? Emotional. Their banter? SO good. 😮💨
Bea writes grief and chronic illness with such care—real, messy, and layered—without dimming the romance. Watching Indie gently pull Knox out of his shell, while also bonding with his daughter Hazel (aka the cutest kid I’ve ever read in a single dad romance)? Cue the emotional meltdown.
I do think Knox got off a little too easy after a certain emotional low-blow, but Indie is grace personified, so I’ll trust her judgment… reluctantly. 😅
Tropes we’re loving: • 🌞 Grumpy x Sunshine • 🧸 Single Dad Energy • 🐣 Found Family • 🧓 Age Gap (41 x 27) • 🫠 “That’s my girl.” / “He calls her honey.” • 💔 Soft grief rep with HEA • 💕 Small-town charm + cozy vibes
Thank you SO much, Bea, for the ARC. This series has been such a joy to grow with—you keep leveling up every book and it’s a gift to witness. Now I’m off to daydream about Knox calling me “honey” and buying this in print. 💌
Bea Borges came with the perfect recipe! I adored the characters in this book, Indie was such a gorgeous character with such a huge heart, Knox is such a secret teddy bear and very hands on father which just made him a billion times more attractive. Little Hazel is going to be one of your new favourite book kids because she's just so funny, cute and sweet! It was a heartfelt slow burn but when the spice hits it's so good. I loved all the types of representation in this book but can't elaborate more than that for fear of spoilers. I liked how Knox's take was to continue doing a lot of small heartfelt gestures rather than one big grand gesture and moving on.
❤️ Sunshine fmc ❤️ Age Gap (he’s 41, she’s 27) ❤️ Single dad ❤️ She has secrets ❤️ They fall together ❤️ Caretaking ❤️ Forced Proximity ❤️ SPD Rep ❤️ Small Mountain Town ❤️ Found Family
Thank you so much Bea Borges for this lovely ARC read.
Knox's life quickly turns upside down when he finds out he is expecting a child. This prompts him to move to his hometown with his daughter to give her the best life he can. Indiana moves to the small town in Colorado to escape her life and painful reminders of her past. But this leads her to staying in the guest house of Knox, the man who stood her up three years prior.
This book is funny, emotional, and tension filled. Knox and Indie have so much chemistry and when the tension snaps they are hot together! 🔥 There is also a lot of growth by both of the characters throughout the book. This is the first book by Bea Borges I have read and I will definitely be reading more!
This was so beautiful. Like sunshine personified. I absolutely adored every single character in this. I laughed, I cried, I smiled until my cheeks hurt, I swooned, and I was even surprised! It was absolute perfection for me, and will definitely be a new comfort book.
I’m a sucker for found families and Knox, Indiana, and Hazey just made my heart burst 🥹 This book truly felt like a warm hug!! I loved the entire family and I definitely want to read the other books to see how the other couples got together. I also just adored how different Knox and Indie were yet how easily they gravitated and complemented the other person. They were everything the other person never knew they needed. I got so emotional when Indie’s backstory was revealed. I had my suspicions, but it definitely had me in my feels. This was one of my favorite reads of the year and it was just such an effortless story that held so many emotions!!
This book comes out August 8 and you are definitely going to want to read it. Thank you Bea for sending me an ARC💜
Indiana, Indie, is desperately needing a fresh start and moves from Atlanta to Silverthorne. When her rental home floods she’s left homeless but her boss knows of a place she can stay. The only problem is that a grumpy, older man owns the home but Indie is sure that she can make the best of it. She’s shocked to realize that she has met this man before, years ago, and now she’s renting his extra house. As she is trying to make the best of the situation she can’t help but want to be near Knox and he feels the same way towards her. But will he still have feelings for her when she shares her secret?
This is the third book in the Slverthorne is for Lovers series.
Bea does it again yall. If you’re looking for characters that have real issues and deal with the same things you do, then Bea is the author for you. I am obsessed with Indie. She is so real. In so many instances when she was talking about herself she could have been talking about me. And Knox!?!? I am just as obsessed with him too. Yall know I LOVE a grumpy MMC and Knox lived up to every expectation I had. I am dying to know more about Baby Lo, so you can catch me waiting for the best book as patient as I can be😉
I didn't want it to end! I think i could read multiple books of Indie and Knox just living life. I really loved and identified with Indie. My heart broke for her and all that she was carrying. I'm glad there wasn't a huge break up at the end and Knox apologized immediately. the honest, intentional or not(i blurt stuff too), was refreshing! This book will definitely be a reread for me!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
“Are you flirting with me, Knox?” “If I was?” “I might flirt back.”
Age gap? Check. Single dad? Check. Grumpy x sunshine? Check. Flirty banter that makes you giggle and kick your feet? Check. Proceeds to rip your heart out and then put it back together? CHECK.
Everything about this book felt so warm! From the small mountain town setting during spring and summer, to the found family that keeps growing with every book.
Indie and Knox are extremely lovable and flawed people. There is such a natural chemistry between them, they can’t help falling for each other. But they are both dealing with their own hurt, and healing isn’t always linear. They make mistakes and say things they don’t mean; but they put in the work. They take accountability, they communicate, and they do their best to open up to and lean on each other.
It is such a joy to see the found family of Silver Pines continue to grow; it feels like coming home!
Thank you, Bea, for the ARC! I can’t wait to come back to Silver Pines soon!🏔️💗🍯
Honestly, Worth the Want is so much more than your average romance novel. It’s almost 2 am and I’m lying here having just finished and I’m just soaking in all the feelings and emotions that this book spurred on. First off, our FMC, Indiana, is such an incredible character who we meet initially in the big city… and fate brings her to the small town of Silverthorne, Colorado. She has her secrets and past traumas that haunt her… but Colorado, and Knox, are healing her in ways she never could have imagined! Knox, the grumpy, now small town lawyer has his own past and the cutest 3 year girl I’ve ever read in a book! The chemistry between Indie and Knox in the big city at their initial meeting was almost tangible and it picked up right where they left off when they meet back in Silverthorne. The banter is amazing… there are moments that will have you laughing out loud. And don’t even get me started on the AMAZING Holloway family and their close knit relationships. This book has it all and I cannot wait to read it again.
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy of this novel.
I honestly might give this book 4.5 stars….I really liked it. I think this book has been my favorite in the series so far.
Knox, Indie, and his little girl Hazel are wonderful. I am always here for an age gap and this one did not disappoint. I loved how the free spirited yet somewhat sad Indie found a safe place in Knox. And how Knox learned how to live for himself and not just Hazel with Indie.
I love the Holloway family dynamics and getting to see all the brothers and their girls after reading their books. Love this series and can’t wait to see where it is going next.
Worth the Want by Bea Borges 4⭐️ ARC 🖤 What a cozy book!!! I was so excited to head back to Silverthorne for some single daddy action 🤪 we have Knox and Indie, a missed connection and a housing mishap years later they’re randomly reunited. Grumpy x sunshine is always fun for me, and I loved the realness of Indie feeling like people misunderstood her sunshine for being “too much”. Knox was someone who could stand to have more sunshine in his life, between his job and single fatherhood, Indie’s presence did him good, even if he wasn’t thrilled at first 😂 gotta say, the emotions got me in this one too 🥲 the story, Indie’s relationship with her sister, the family, just hits right in the feels lol. The ending also had me *swoon**cry**emotions* 😂😂 if you’re looking for a comfy small town romance with some wonderful characters, check this series out!! Worth the Want is book 3 in the Silverthorne is for Lovers series, and is out 8/8/25 🩵 thank you Bea for the chance to read and review early
when i say this book tore me APART in the best and worst ways ? i mean that. coming back to silverthorne was a dream come true (hey ivy ! i missed you lol) 😭😂
knox: i knew i’d love my beautiful, single dad(dy) whenever his book came. he does not disappoint. hard headed, rude at times, but very sure and certain of himself. protective, loving, kind and a damn good dad. he had me on my knees BEGGING and that doesn’t even include in the bedroom🧎🏾♀️🧎🏾♀️🖤
indiana: my heart and soul. i relate to her on so many levels. while head strong and determined, she is also broken but never lets it show. she is such a kind human being and she never had anything bad to say about anyone. no one can make me hate her ! she deserves the best life has to offer and i’m glad knox and hazel made that happen for her. 🥹🥹🖤
this book definitely had me giggling but also SOBBING. bea does something to these books that marinate so beautifully in my soul and it’s such a relief. i couldn’t put this book down until i finished it today 🖤🖤🖤
