I never imagined that small town charm and big business could be a stage for love to bloom.
As CEO of a billion-dollar business, I’m used to being in control.
But when my jet emergency lands in Seaside Cove, I find myself drenched in curry and face-to-face with Skye, a fiery food truck owner who doesn’t care about my power or status.
We may seem like polar opposites, but as I get to know her, our differences fade.
When her house floods and she moves across the hall from me at the inn, I run into her often. As I see her kindness and compassion for others, my feelings intensify.
Late night walks on the beach evolve into deep conversations and passionate kisses, telling me she feels the same.
I’m captivated by her beauty, but it’s her fierce loyalty to this little town that really pulls me in.
Yeah, that’s the very town I’m here to buy up and dismantle piece by piece … and likely break her heart in the process. Couldn’t be worse.
Now I’m beginning to question what really matters.
The more my feelings for Skye grow, I can’t ignore the pull of this place where I just might find the life – and love – I’ve been missing.
I just finished Falling For Mr. Grump, the Big City Billionaire by Josie Frost, and I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars. It was a cute, easy read, perfect for when you want something light and fluffy, but it didn't quite blow me away.
It's a classic opposites-attract, small-town romance. We've got Troy, a billionaire CEO from the big city, and Skye, the owner of a food truck in the charming seaside town of Seaside Cave. They clash right from the start, mostly because Troy seems to think he's above everyone in the small town, and Skye isn't afraid to put him in his place.
I really enjoyed the small-town setting. The author does a great job of painting a picture of Seaside Cave, with its beautiful sunrises and sunsets and close-knit community. It definitely gave me those warm, fuzzy small-town vibes.
The banter between Troy and Skye was also fun. They have that classic enemies-to-lovers dynamic, and it was entertaining to watch them bicker and slowly start to fall for each other. I liked how Skye didn't back down from Troy and wasn't intimidated by his wealth or status.
The book explores some interesting themes, like the clash between big-city ambition and small-town values, and the importance of community. It also has dual perspectives, which I usually enjoy, as it gives you insight into both characters' thoughts and feelings.
However, there were a few things that kept me from giving it a higher rating. The pacing felt a bit off at times, with some scenes feeling repetitive. I also felt like the supporting characters could have been more developed. They were there, but they didn't really add much to the story. The focus was almost entirely on Troy and Skye, which made the world feel a little small.
Overall, Falling For Mr. Grump is a sweet, feel-good read that's perfect for fans of small-town romances. It's an easy and enjoyable escape, but it didn't quite stand out as anything particularly special. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something light and heartwarming, but if you're looking for a more complex or deeply emotional romance, this might not be it.

Troy Bellamy, in charge of a multi-billion-dollar hotel empire, is aggravated when his private plane must make an emergency landing. He doesn’t have time for this! He even fusses at the breeze that messes up his perfect hair! Spotting a garish food truck parked at the end of the airstrip gives him someone to take out his aggression on. But he trips and falls into the front of the truck, causing something warm and sticky to run down the front of his shirt as the day’s special drips onto the ground. A beautiful woman is staring down at him. As he starts to verbally attack her, she gives it right back at him. So he tells her to send the bill for the lost food to the Seaside Inn and he will pay for it. He called his brother Drew to come pick him up when he could get him to finally stop laughing at the situation.
This wasn’t the end of the mess either. Attending the town meeting, everyone was told about a large corporation eyeing several of the town landmarks for a potential buyout. With prime oceanfront real estate being “wasted” on mom-and-pop shops and "historic" buildings, their town is perfect for the greedy corporate types to make a fortune. So Skye sat on the beach after the meeting and made a list of how they could fight back. But when she got home, her house was flooded after a pipe broke on another street. The landlord said the neighbors would have to vacate for a month while all the damage was repaired. With no other choice, Skye moves into the hotel, ending up across the hall from the grouchy man who dented her food truck. This time, he sees her total loyalty and devotion to the people of her town. Will her kindness and love for others teach him there are more important things in life than destroying what matters just to make a profit? Because in this case, he cannot have both her love and the heartless destruction of her quaint town just to make money.
From the beginning to the end, this wonderfully written story is filled with humor, conflict, and great characters. Troy Bellamy may run a multi-billion-dollar hotel empire, but he doesn’t like flying, especially when there’s turbulence to deal with. He feels as if the plane he’s on is a death trap, and he can’t exit fast enough. Things don’t appear any better when he steps out of the plane…. this can’t possibly be an airstrip; more like a small piece of asphalt. His luck just keeps making him mad as he trips over an uneven patch and collides with a food truck. Troy soon realizes he’s covered in something warm, sticky, and spicy. He’s caught off guard by the owner of the food truck for a moment, but then his true personality rears its ugly head. He’s rude, demanding, and accuses Skye of causing the disaster that was his fault. I’m sure we’ve all run into people just like this; never taking the blame for situations that were caused by them. Skye doesn’t back down and lets him have it, even calling him a corporate clown. Even as he walks away, he can’t get those eyes and her face out of his mind. Troy calls his brother Drew to come and get him to his hotel. Now, this also says something about Troy. Who flies into a town where your brother lives and you aren’t staying with them? Drew & Meg would love to have him visit, but he’s much too busy wanting this deal to be done to spend time with family. Troy has no trouble being a jerk; but being polite and caring seem to be characteristics he is lacking. Troy sees everything as a business opportunity and isn’t backing down and won’t stop trying to seal this deal so he can go on to the next one. Will Troy be able to seal the deal? Will Skye be able to pull the town together and stop Troy’s deal? Is the town ready to pull out all the stops to keep their town safe from corporate America? There’s an attraction between Skye & Troy, even though they are on opposite sides, will the deal win or will the attraction win?
I am reading Josie Frost's work for the first time with this book, and once again I am so incredibly delighted to have come across a new author and loved their work right at the outset. It's like discovering a new restaurant and after having tasted their dishes for the first time, I'm instantly a fan and now I am sure to keep coming back.
I adored the meet-cute of our main characters, Troy and Skye. They instantly clash the moment they meet, but at the same time they both do not fail to register their same instant attraction to the other. It was amusing witnessing them cursing the other for their brass attitude while at the same time unable to deny the pull they have to each other.
Beyond the main characters' dynamic, I love how, for Skye, this story was about staying loyal to one's hometown and fighting tooth and nail for its protection and preservation. And then for Troy, it's a beautiful story of how one small town is able to help him discover what he truly wants in his life. It's a town that enabled him to finally acknowledge the gaping hole in his life, and made him realize that what he needs to fill that hole is right there in that same town. You see that struggle in him each time he reminds himself that he is Troy Bellamy, the big City CEO, as though the constant the self-reminder will convince him that that is who he really is when deep inside he fears it may not be true.
Getting to the end, I liked how I felt a satisfying closure to Troy and Skye's story. I felt a delightful sense of contentment with the story's conclusion, and I am sure I would not have wanted it any other way.
I received an ARC of this book from the author and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
Josie latest book is a cute, sweet, easy read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved Troy and Sky’s instant dislike for each other that crackled with attraction. The banter between these two was so much fun to read, that I found myself giggling with glee often.
Troy is doing research for a corporate buyout in Sunset Cove and is all business. He is trying to stay under the radar, but when he meets local, Sky, she makes him front and center. Although he is there for work, he soon finds himself enjoying the small town life and Sky’s company. Troy is our classic billionaire MMC. He’s a workaholic, get it and out quickly, always looking for the next big dollar. However, I loved how Josie broke down his walls as he spent time in this small beach town.
Sky was so much fun to read! She is feisty, stubborn, and isn’t afraid of anything. When she meets Troy, she is annoyed by how good looking he is, but is determined to keep him at arm’s length. As he continues to participate in town events, she discovers things about him that she can’t believe. It makes him likeable and leaves her wanting more. She has such a big heart and loves her town.
This story was well paced, romantic, and was easy to read. I always love enemies to lovers read and these two definitely went from strong dislike to so much more. I loved seeing them each let their own walls down and grow closer together. When they finally got on the same page, these two become unstoppable!
As always, review any author notes before reading.

I love all things Josie Frost and this does not disappoint, this is book three in The Billionaire's of Seaside Cove series. Tony Bellamy is a billionaire, and usually gets his way. He is flying into Seaside Cove, and his plane needs to make an emergency landing. His plane lands near Skye's food truck. Tony literally runs into Skye's food truck, and gets covered in spicy food. He says a lot, but nothing that is pleasant. Skye is well respected in her community, besides being a small business owner; she volunteers and helps wherever needed. Tony is in town to evaluate the community, to possibly build a large waterfront resort hotel and shops. This would teardown everything the town stands for. Their is chemistry and laughter whenever Skye and Tony are near; so who and what wins out in the end? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Josie Frost!!!!
This novel is a lighthearted romantic comedy that offers a delightful blend of opposites attract, small-town charm, and big-city cynicism.
The book explores a wide array of themes, including community values, the clash between ambition and authenticity, and the transformative power of love.
The narrative alternates between Troy Bellamy, a brooding billionaire, and Skye Martinez, an impassioned food truck owner, offering readers a dual perspective that enriches the story.
Frost balances humour and heartfelt moments, ensuring readers stay engaged.
However, the pacing occasionally lags, with certain scenes feeling repetitive.
Although fascinating, the romance lacks sufficient supporting character development.
Overall, Falling for Mr Grump is an enjoyable, feel-good read. It’s perfect for fans of small-town romance with a modern twist.
Is a sweet small town, billionaire, forces proximity, grumpy--sunshine, opposites attract romance with no cliffhanger. Some of the lines I really like ---- Mr. Disaster in designer shoes needs a serious lesson in small town etiquette. ---- "I gave him a piece of my mind. And perhaps an impromptu salsa shower." ---- "'This town's not for sale. 'Some things are worth more than money.'" ---- "High praise from the queen of backhanded compliments." ---- Sometimes the biggest threats aren't the ones you can see coming. And sometimes the best allies are the ones you least expect. ---- I loved Skye and Troy's story and I'm sure you will too. I've loved everyone of her books that I've read and can't wait to read her next book.
The quaint town of Seaside Cove has captured my attention, and I am contemplating a move. Ha ha. The narrative of Troy and Skye, while not entirely original, is elevated by the author's talent for crafting relatable characters. The chemistry between the couple is palpable, and the book is filled with lighthearted moments. A notable aspect of this author's writing style is her ability to resolve conflicts between couples in a concise and timely manner, avoiding unnecessary drama.

Oh man this one was so funny, and I liked watching Troy being humbled by the small-town folks he seems to think very little of. Skye doesn't back down and she has no problem putting his city attitude in place. It is a warm heart filled tale of little town charm. Big cities make you move and move fast see change happen because people have money, but in small towns things matter historic and sentimental building and things are important. It was sweet watching these to bicker and then fall in love.
Nice seaside romance at Seaside Cave. Billionaire CEO Troy and Food Truck owner Skye start as enemies - after Troy's quite a impressive arrival at Seaside Cave. Is it possible that small town's and Skye's charms will change his development plans? Sweet small town and it's passionate community is a perfect background for growing attraction of characters. Easy sweet reading.

Just the perfect mixture of romance, humor, grumpiness, conflict, and surprise twists that I expect from a Josie Frost book. Real Estate can bring out the good and the greed in people, Troy starts out with more of the greed, although he wouldn’t think of it as that, but then he meets local food truck owner and town native, Skye. The battle is on. I enjoyed the book, but I was left hungry for some of Skye’s fusion tacos.
A sweet small town romance with an enemies to lovers and opposites attract trope. I loved the way the author wove the story around Troy and Skye and the cast of wonderful characters. The sunrises and sunsets and the seaside town itself were such beautiful settings. It was an enjoyable read.
Wholesome romance between an everyday small town kinda girl and a big city boy. Without spoiling it, the plot evolves as the main characters succumb ftp their desires to have the other and to do that compromise happens….

I love Skye's sass, confidence, and passion for her town, its people, and her part in it. Troy starts out as the cold, heartless corporate CEO, but then Skye and Seaside Cove work their magic. This is a heartwarming story of opposites attract and small town life and love.
We’re back in Seaside Cove and I’m so excited! This small town has become one of my favorite places to get lost in. Troy and Skye have kept up the hype for Seaside and I loved the outcome. These books never disappoint!
Billionaire CEO grounded in the middle of nowhere? What is he supposed to do? How does he react when his normal behavior doesn't fly Will she be able to help him? When he's able to return home where does it leave them?.
