And that’s exactly the mess I find myself in as I inch ever closer to answers. When the fairy who cast a glamour on me goes missing, Sebastian cuts a deal so we can investigate. Only, he’s acting all weird and jealous, and it’s getting in the way of what we need to do.

so much going on!!

Great fourth in the series with the storyline expanding and now there’s so much going on — and so many after poor Eva — it’ll take a great plot twist to get her out of the mess waiting for her. Solid 5 star read. Highly recommend.

While the story is enjoyable, but the pacing is off and almost no progress is made (even tho it's the fourth book). Slowly the story starts dragging, and the relationships still feel surface level

𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗬: Eva saved Fae trapped halfway to between the realms. Also she finally met her mother for a short time and discovered that her grandfather wants to kill her mother.

There was a rift which parted the realms, most beings (goblins, fae, etc.) were cut off from their homelands and created realms with boundaries on earth. Only beings with celestial blood can enter all new realms and jump to near realms (the original homelands). Everybody is looking for Celeste (celestial), in exchange for her, they will be awarded with the sword Realm Breaker (which can be used to create a pathway to other realms, but only by Celeste or Eva).

So Eva the half celestial is still looking for her mother, who had hidden her powers from her and who was being sought by many, because she was severing the magical pathways. The group who had bonded with Eva were also seeking the realm breaker. Her group of mates who gave her power through sex, and who had become a sort of reverse harem, were Sebastian the demon who was after finding his own sister who had stolen the hells from him and killing her, the goblins Gabriel and Mistral who wanted to save the Bogs, and the elf Crispin. Turns out she is a conduit star and it was her power which was seeking and bonding her mates to her and turning them into batteries to strengthen her powers. They were also looking for Janik, the ancient fae who had glamoured Eva and who had disappeared, as well as for Eva's great grandfather who was trying to find her mother also to kill her. He believed the pathways should be mended. This story is very intricate, full of magic and different creatures, my favourite still being Ringo the miniature goblin who loved Eva. I really am enjoying this fantastical series and look forward to book 5, as the plot thickens and this book leaves us in suspense!

This is the shortest book in the series and it really should not have been. By the time we are at book 4, the books should be getting *longer*, not shorter, or at least staying a similar length! This book could have been great, but it was just too short. There wasn't enough time for much to happen, for relationships to really develop (whyyy is she dragging her feet with Crispin so much? Whyyy is she still weird about being with Mistral?), and as such, there was no true climax or resolution. But at the same time, we also got some big reveals! We finally find her mom, and it's glossed over in like three pages! She says like four words to her! It left the book feeling choppy and the ending abrupt. I really hope we start getting longer books and more substance, because this series could be amazing.

More realm jumping

At only 178 pages, this felt more like a brief interlude than a proper book. I really, really wish it would have been published as 1 long or 2 shorter books, rather than this series of 5? "Books". The story also kind of feels like it is stagnant at this point. Yes, they may slowly be discovering new facts, though the whole thing is so twisted that it feels like the author has lost track of which twist we are supposed to be exploring.

This series is really fun! It’s like joining a little adventure and it’s incredibly enjoyable to read. I’ve never read anything by this author before, but she’s a really fantastic writer and I’ll definitely seek out some more of her books!

This has been a great palette cleanser from some of the other books I’ve been reading. I read all 4 books in less than a week easily and I can’t wait for the 5th one!

I love this series. It's so fun and whimsical.

My only (minor) complaint is that the books are too short. It seems like there will need to be quite a few more books before things are resolved. As much as I hate waiting for the rest of the story, I think having longer individual books would serve the series well.

Finally some answers!!! And more questions to follow but I enjoyed this one so much better than book 3. Excellent sexual tension building, more world building and some good story developments. The use of colloquial language is a big grating sometimes but generally enjoyed this story a lot more. Looking forward to the next one!

I have been enjoying this series but the fact that the books are quite short is getting a bit frustrating. It’s starting to feel quite scattered with everything going on and after 4 books I don’t feel like it’s as far as it should be. I’ll still read the others though despite feeling this way 😂
