Larek is now ready to face those who stole his family away…
All Larek wanted in his life after learning that he could make Fusions was to practice and improve upon his new ability, and to create the best and the most creative formations that the world had ever seen. He had largely accomplished that, but there always seemed to be more to learn about the art of Fusion creation; while resting up after his newest battle successes, he stumbles upon something that would change the way he thought about Fusions forever.
That new knowledge would be needed, as it is time to start looking toward the final confrontation with the Gergasi and their Enclave. Ridding the Kingdom of their presence wouldn’t just be beneficial for the people living in it, but would also give Larek the chance to free his family from their clutches.
With the Volunteers and the Scission Interception Corps now behind him, all of the Scissions, Apertures, and Calamities he’d helped to fight and close in the past have led to an upcoming confrontation of monumental proportions. Unfortunately for the Fusionist and his friends, things won’t be as simple as an epic battle between powerful entities, as a new danger cropping up in the Kingdom threatens to throw his entire plan out the window.
Will Larek be able to save the Kingdom and rescue his family in the process? Find out now in the final book in the Magical Fusion series!
This weak-to-strong MC story contains LitRPG elements such as character progression and statistics, as well as a heavy crafting emphasis. No explicit sexual content or harems.

He just finished his first short film 5 SKULLS that can be found on vimeo or youtube, and he just self-published his The True Cuba book that was funded on Kickstarter.com.
Felt concurrently drawn out and too short. The introduction of 3+ NEW plot lines & mechanics out of nowhere in the last book and finishing them led to whiplash. More than that, it let the book to feel rushed.
Great, interesting, highly entertaining series that has incredible details intrinsic to magic, and in this case, fusions. I’m not sure how feasible, logically possible, the theorems and constructs of the spells Larek managed to conquer, but Jonathan Brooks certainly sells the concepts well. For me, I loved the pages and pages of step by step explanations describing the patterns Larek designed, constructed, and produced, and found it all marvelously intriguing. This is an author who is thoroughly meticulous in providing the whys, wherefores, how, what, and so on, of a fantasy world filled with supreme beings, magical people, monsters, and a seemingly innocuous young man who turns out to be the answer to the problems his biological father’s people introduced to this planet. Brilliant storyline, awesome researched background and world building, with endearing, colorful characters and a compellingly earnest young hero.
The series deserves five times a hundred stars, but alas, I can only offer the allowed maximum. In case you missed my point, I highly recommend this whole series. I was captivated from book one, and finished the series in two days (okay, and nights—Jonathan Brooks dies not skimp on details and his masterful storytelling! The books ran as long as 500+ pages, never less than 300! So worth the time if you’re into pure fantasy with world issues and character building…
Honestly, I sometimes just put books that begin a series into a little save file and wait for the rest to come out. But this is one of the few that have read from the beginning as they are published.
I like the series a lot, I think the characters are fun, believable, and have logical growth. None are born O.P.'d.
I think you will like it, if you like adventure, underdogs, and characters that are genuinely good. Down to their sandals, good. 😉
Worth buying or borrowing, especially now that the series is done. Suitable for ages 12 and up, but lots of violence, including patricide (someone ends up killing their own father), some sexual inuendo. No typos, at least in this book, grammar is fine, characters and world-building awesome, as expected from Mr. Brooks. Great editing, although there were some spots where the writing could have been tightened up a touch, mostly when we are inside Larak's head, they were few and far between.
This book, and the series overall deserves a 9 out of 10 unicorn rating. 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
I finished the series and it was good, not great. All the major threads were wrapped up, but the author does a much better job with magic systems than people.
For example, another cool layer of magic was revealed in this final book, but the grand reunion with his family (something he's been working towards for several books) was literally described as "after several hours of talking and catch up he, Larik took them to meet..." Author totally skipped the emotional moment.
Lots of character moments like that. All the important beats happened, but they weren't executed with nuance or depth.
Larek wants to focus on his fusions and spend time with his fiancée. Unfortunately, the Gergasi still have Larek’s family. He will undo every foothold they have on this world to get them back.
The recap chapter and having the stats are their own mini chapters has helped dramatically with the flow of the story. This litrpg series was a lot of fun. I did enjoy the new approach that it took on enchanting. It’s great when a series has an actual ending as well! Miles Meili does a great job narrating.
Content warning: some of the combat gets pretty graphic
Excellent, satisfying, ending to the series. I rated every one of the 8 books 5/5 stars. Action. Character development. Small quibble; the names of the different skills/talents were SO close to each other it was hard to keep track of them. The good part is that they really don't matter. As the protagonist grows and experiments and gets better, what matters is what he can do, not what he calls it. Definitely well worth the read.
This was an amazing completion of Larek's story. He was able to keep most of the kingdom safe with no help from the people who were supposed to be running it, and his biological dad's family were trying to kill him because they saw him as a threat to their way of life, and they were right. I loved the very end for Larek got something he earned, and now he is happy.
Sad to read the last book in the series - it was a wonderful way to escape (albeit temporarily)
The final book in the series… it all comes together nicely with exciting chapters interspersed throughout. Typical of this author, a buildup to create some credibility and then a test for the main character. Very enjoyable IMHO.
Satisfying end to what is a well thought out and complex pattern of a series. I thoroughly enjoy how intricate all of Jonathan’s books are but this one will have a special place in my core.
This story of an enchanter’s life was a very interesting entertaining read. He’s a logger who has no Idea that he’s is half of the ruling class and shows signs of being an mage. Awesome Stuff
This was an amazing series that i feel anyone of any age can and would enjoy… the fact that it actually has an ending that brought everything to a conclusion made it even better… will def be looking for more from this amazing author!!
I really enjoyed this series as it did "magic" in a different way than I've read elsewhere. I hope he decides to revisit this world in the future. I look forward any of his other writings.
3.5 stars. I just couldn't get into this one despite it being the conclusion to the series. The whole bereft storyline seemed like an unnecessary addition to the series and the rest I just wanted to be done with.
II thoroughly enjoyed this series and I am sad it had to end. All the books in this series were engaging and swept up my imagination like magic. 10 of 10
