Nope, nope, nope. It's a big ❌ for me, and it 1000% grosses me out.
At this point, the MCs are still in their enemy phase. They were college rivals, and 13 years later, they still are.
Despite them disliking each other, I really, really don't need to see this on-page scene of him with OW!!! 🤧
This is freaking bad and an obvious mood killer for me. But I think what's worse is the fact that while he's with another woman, he's subconsciously thinking about the FMC. Like, dude, whyyyy? 🥴
Based on a review, apparently he has been in love with her for years. But since they hate each other (???), he didn't do anything about it.
Still, reading this gave me the freaking ick!!!
So I'm gonna stop here because I KNOW, I just know that this'll live rent free in my head until the end of the freaking book. It already ruined the whole story in my eyes, so why bother finishing it. 😒
She leans in. “Take me home with you.” “Really?” I ask, not remembering the last time I had a one-night stand. We stumble the two blocks to my place, laughing and kissing on our way inside. She pushes me back on the couch. Her lips are on mine, and she straddles me. I’m lost in her touch, in her mouth, growing hard beneath her. “Who’s Billie?” she asks between kisses. “Excuse me?” I blink up at her, knowing I’m too intoxicated for this. Am I being pranked? “You called me Billie,” she whispers against my lips. My eyes bolt open, and I pull away from her. “I did?” “It’s okay. Call me whatever you want. I don’t care.” She shakes her head, unbuttoning my shirt. Her eyes light up as she sees the tattoos splashed across my chest. Seconds later, her mouth returns to mine. I try to get lost in her taste, in her touch, but I can’t. “I’m sorry. I can’t. I can’t do this,” I say with a sigh.

WOW, just WOW!
Did someone send premium grade chaos to spice up our lives? Because Miss Lyra Parish really said, “Let me stir the pot and then set it on fire,” and honestly, I lived for it. Hello, hello I am absolutely not okay and it's 100% Asher Banks and Billie Calloway’s fault. Ever since I got that little sneak peek at their petty little love-hate fest at the end of The Wife Situation, I knew this was gonna be messy. But The Boss Situation? Oh, baby. It wasn’t just messy it was a full-blown emotional hurricane with stilettos and insults flying set in the backdrop of the fashion world.
The hate? Oh, it was HATING. These two couldn’t be in the same room without trying to mentally annihilate each other and honestly, I was cheering them on with a devilish grin. It was like enemies-to-lovers on steroids, and I wanted them to kiss and throw hands at the same time. The petty energy? Immaculate. And the spice? Let's just say it came in hot, heavy, and with zero chill.
And just when I thought I was vibing with the drama, Lyra said, “Plot twist, babe!” and hit me with emotional damage I was not ready for. Secrets, past wounds, gut punches—you name it. My jaw was on the ground, my mascara was smudged, and I was giving full soap opera reaction shots.
Billie Calloway, ma’am, you are the blueprint. That boss bish energy? Unmatched. She handled everything thrown at her like a queen in six-inch heels and zero patience for nonsense. Asher Banks? Sir, how dare you make me fall head over heels while being an emotionally unavailable menace ( or are you) . I am tragically, deeply, and hopelessly in love with you.

I wasn't sure about Asher, but being able to see his thoughts and feelings, I was quickly on the bandwagon for these two to get together. A dual first person POV (my favorite), enemies to lovers story. Asher is devious and apparently gorgeous too. I've really gotten addicted to these snarky, romcom books. Laugh, cry, touching...all the feels.
There's a lot of history between them and their battles were fun to see unfold.
A teaser of the next book was included, which stars her cousin, Brody and Billie's best friend, Harper.

This is shaping up to be one of my favorite series! The dynamic between Billie and Asher in this book is soooo good!! I love the enemies to lovers and these two are beyond perfect together! Literally cannot wait for next book!! Sitting on pins and needles over here! ❤️❤️

The Boss Situation is book 3 in the Billionaire Situation series and puff it brought the enemies to lovers to a whole other level 🤩 I mean this was absolute fire from start to finish. Be prepared to be consumed and forget about all your responsibilities when starting a Lyra Parish book! The storyline, the characters, the feud, everything just hit so damn hard!! Lyra has absolutely ruined the enemies to lovers trope for me, no one will EVER compare 🫡 The entirety of the plot was also so well developed, it wasn't solely based on the romance and spice. Which I thoroughly enjoyed, it just enhanced my experience of this book even more!
Billie is the epitome of a bad ass boss babe, she takes the reins of her business and has full confidence in herself and what she's doing. Then Asher, hating him was easy, but loving him was even easier, what can I say I love emotionally unavailable men 🤣 Asher & Billie's hate was HATING, it was damn strong, but man was it also so HOT! The way they couldn't deny their attraction to each other, the hate touching, kissing, it set absolute fire to the pages 🥵 The connection and banter these 2 had was absolute PERFECTION. Lyra absolutely smacked me across the face with her multiple plot twists. I was left with my jaw wide open a few times.

Asher Banks was in for the long haul, and I'm here for it! Who would have thought someone could beat out Weston, but Asher is definitely my new favorite billionaire.
Asher is cocky af and annoying, but in the best possible way. He's protective, committed, and pretty damn intelligent. When he has a plan, he'll stick with it no matter what. He isn't afraid to get on his knees and beg for what he wants.
Billie has met her match with Asher; he pushes her limits because he never once doubted her. She's resilient, stubborn, and ruthless. Their banter and slow burn were so addicting. I felt completely invested in their relationship from start to finish.
There were so many different elements throughout The Boss Situation which I loved: the mystery, challenges, personal growth, and all the different relationships. Billie's friendship with Prince Louis made my heart happy. The close relationship between the siblings also added another level to the story!
I'm not sure anyone can top Asher, but if anyone could, it would be Brody. I can't wait to find out in The Bodyguard Situation!

Oh my gosh this book! This is the realest enemies to lovers I’ve read in awhile. More like hate to like to love! This may be a top contender in this series for me.
This story follows Billie who I absolutely adore. Her and her bestie are partners in a company that’s basically trying to get torn apart by Billie’s ex. Asher our MMC wants to do step in and help, but Billie doesn’t want any part in being involved with Asher.
The banter in this was top tier! They were so back and forth with jabs at each other I found myself laughing out loud! The notes against the glass with their offices across the street. Asher is SUCH a smooth talker, and I truly love that I feel like there will always be that charming quirky banter between these two forever.
There is a lot of layers to this story that adds more suspense in plot other then just Billie and Asher’s banter and this story works as a complete stand alone, but it will truly leave you wanting more. ( I’ve read them all and simply will never get enough of these two) I can’t wait for Brody’s story!

I made it 72 pages, and couldn’t take it anymore. There’s absolutely no way these two people could go from how they felt at the beginning of this book to a happily ever after. Asher is the absolute worst. Billie’s attitude toward Asher is 100% a direct result of how he treated her over the last 14 years. It’s also disgusting how every single person in her life is all Team Asher and actually defend him. Her own family. It’s sickening.

This book is the literary equivalent of a Reddit AITA thread with the verdict being that “Everyone Sucks Here”, but make it enemies-to-lovers with stilettos, billionaires, and a splash of suspense.
Billie and Asher have history, and not the cute, nostalgic kind. Think: academic rivals turned workplace nemeses who can’t be in the same room without unleashing emotional warfare and sexual tension so thick you could slice it with a Jimmy Choo heel.
The first half was pure petty chaos. The hate was hating. The vibes were toxic. But whew, did it take its sweet time getting to the lovers part. Like, glacial pacing. I had to remind myself this was a romance. Did I love the characters? Eh.
Things picked up steam in the second half—finally! Secret relationship? Check. High-stakes drama? Double check. A stalker subplot and an unhinged ex? Why not throw in a royal while we’re at it? It gave just enough tension and spice to keep me invested, especially with the setup for the next book (Brody, I see you and I’m ready).
While the story sometimes felt more like a bridge to the next installment, the emotional payoff, once it landed, did land. Billie and Asher’s story may be messy, but it’s a reminder that love doesn’t always start soft. Sometimes, it’s born from fire—and Lyra Parish knows how to bring the heat.

The first half was pure petty chaos. The hate was hating. The vibes were toxic. But whew, did it take its sweet time getting to the lovers part. Like, glacial pacing. I had to remind myself this was a romance. Did I love the characters? Eh.
Things picked up steam in the second half—finally! Secret relationship? Check. High-stakes drama? Double check. A stalker subplot and an unhinged ex? Why not throw in a royal while we’re at it? It gave just enough tension and spice to keep me invested, especially with the setup for the next book (Brody, I see you and I’m ready).
While the story sometimes felt more like a bridge to the next installment, the emotional payoff, once it landed, did land. Billie and Asher’s story may be messy, but it’s a reminder that love doesn’t always start soft. Sometimes, it’s born from fire—and Lyra Parish knows how to bring the heat.

I was extremely eager to read this book after reading The Friend Situation (book #2 of the series), which was fantastic, & it did not disappoint! I highly recommend reading this book - it's binge-worthy material!!! It's really engrossing & well-developed. It captured my interest from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down! It's an entertaining, enemies-to-lovers romance between Billie & Asher, who constantly push each other's buttons. They're proof that there's a thin line between love & hate.

Black credit cards (especially *that* black card) are made of metal, not plastic. If we’re reading about billionaires, let’s pay attention to the little things.
Perez Hilton’s site is a bottom-feeding cesspit at best, TMZ would have been a way more legitimate and noteworthy site to reference when it comes to celebrity/notorious relationship clout.
The minutiae can make or break the suspension of disbelief in a book. I love my hot romance reads like any other and I did enjoy the book overall. However, this was akin to a Grey’s Anatomy season gone completely off the rails with little payoff. The Josh Lustre revenge and comeuppance was disappointing. To spend most of the book focusing on that plot point to have it fizzle out the way it did? Then to have Anonymous take him out?? It seems lazy. I also didn’t really love the whole “he hates her but is secretly in love with her and follows her for years…he tells her to stay away from him and then they sort of compete in college…” that’s the basis of their feud? I can’t wrap my mind around it.
I really enjoyed the first 2 books, I look forward to the rest of the series, but this one fell flat for me.

3.5 stars. This story is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, banter-filled, contemporary enemies-to-lovers romance. I enjoyed Billie’s grit, perseverance, determination, and focus. I enjoyed Asher’s repartee, and the contrasts of different elements of his personality and history revealed through the story. I struggled with the enemies-to-lovers part - it’s really not my favourite vibe and I never became immersed in the story. I appreciated the happy ending, and enjoyed the steamy intimate scenes. I enjoyed the setup for the next story in the series. If enemies-to-lovers and billionaire romance are for you, this is a great story.

Okay Lyra, you put something in this book because I was addicted from the start!
Billie and Asher were the perfect power couple even when they hated each other in the beginning. The tension between these two was off the charts but so was their chemistry. I loved the suspense/drama thrown in throughout the story. This book was very fast paced and had me hooked in. The banter between Billie and Asher was so much fun. Both of them are so fierce and a force in their fields of work. I loved how Billie never backed down and was sure of her work. When she was the star of the fashion show I got chills!
Now I have to go back and read the others in this series because I need Billie's brother's stories!

Lyra is absolutely KILLING it with this series! Each book has been a banger. These two were just insane! The tension, the banter.
This was like a true enemies to lovers and I hadn’t read one like it in a while! But it was so good. Asher was such a surprise! This man had an insane brain but we lovedddd it. He was just everything. Jeez, he acted like an a**hole but everything he did was for her! Gah!! It was insane. The invisible string between these two was crazy and beautiful. I was obsessed with that scene!
The Calloway men can be a bit much, especially as siblings ahah. But we love them anyway. They did sort of help in the end I guess ahah. And I gotta love Miss LadyLux as always. And the bad guy takedown was epic!
Love that we got more of Brody and we get his book next! I’m so excited but also learning about his heartbreaking past omg💔 it’s bound to be a little angsty. I can’t wait!

I loved this book! From beginning to end it was perfect and kept my attention.

When Billie Calloway’s business is in the crosshairs of being destroyed by her ex and her brother’s friend Asher Banks, she is beyond mad. Asher might have other plans though. He is willing to help her instead…if she does him a favor…so maybe not lol. When you hate someone as much as these two do, working closely together eventually might have an interesting reaction of the H 0 T variety! ;) Wow, does this enemies to lovers with great fighting banter definitely hit the mark! Soo Good! Their back and forth confrontations s i z z l € s off the pages and you’re just ready to see what happens next. Such a perfect hate to love romance. Oh and that ending! I wasn't sure I was going to like this one, but I LOVED it! Asher and Billie had all the chemistry - sparks absolutely flew off the page with every interaction. Their enemies to lovers journey was so good, I couldn't get enough of it and finished it in one day. For all the fury, snark and sass, there were also beautifully sweet and tender moments. I thought the book was perfectly balanced, and I loved the cameos from Weston, Easton and their beautiful wives. Lyra has left us on a cliffhanger for 'The Bodyguard Situation' and I can't wait for the next book in this wonderful series.

If you're looking for a love to hate, enemies to lovers with all the banter, this is it! Billie and Asher are everything and more and far exceeded my expectations for an enemies to lovers trope. It gives The Hating Game vibes with an MMC you learn to swoon over.

This is Asher Banks and Billie Calloway’s story and is one I really enjoyed.
This enemies to lovers story ticked all the boxes for me from the first chapter.
The characters were engaging and I quickly became invested in the story that Ms. Parish wove.
However, things are about to become complicated when feelings become involved as the attraction they have tried to ignore becomes impossible to resist.
I loved their journey and as the relationship evolved it made for a n entertaining read.
Amy Hall and Marcio Catalano did a good job of narrating the characters in a variety of voices and brought the story to life for me, doing justice to the story that the author created. Both their voices were easy to listen to and I found myself invested in their performances.

Wow do I ever love Lyra's books. They are so deliciously clever. Billie and Asher's story has been a long time coming and it did not disappoint! I'm not normally a huge fan on Hate to Lover and this book was definitely that. And I loved it. The balance was perfect. The tangled web between Asher and Billie went back and deeper than even I considered. And now I am considering all sorts of conspiracy theories. I really need someone to talk to about them! The teaser into the next book has me absolutely dying on the inside. I needed it at 3am yesterday when I finished this book! I am relieved to learn that there are SEVERAL more books in this series and that it ties into another one of Lyra's book/series. Which I absolutely love when authors do that.
The plot was TOP SHELF, as it always is from Lyra. And to be honest I thought there's no way to top the previous book in the series. She definitely did. Each book just keeps getting more intense and more incredible and the depth of the secrets, deception and twisted ways of the Calloway's/Banks' crew just keeps growing- beyond my wildest imagination, that's for sure. The first part of the book is focused strongly on their extreme aversion to each other, to the extent that there are some parts that you could say would be toxic, if Lyra didn't magically also have this under current of tension and lust running steady. Once they started playing ball so to speak, the tension didn't die, the hate did, and the swoon kicked up to level 20.
Literally by the end of the book to suspense built around Bellamore and Lustre literally left me reeling.
So, without giving away anything too major, here are a few moments I loved:

I wasn’t prepared for the plot twists at the end! There’s a fair amount of suspense and it definitely looks like the next book, The Bodyguard Situation will be full of it! (I have been feral for Brody’s story since book 1. Now knowing new things about his past, I’m on the edge of my seat for it!)
👑 Also, we get a hot British prince as a new character in this book and I’m OBSESSED.

I was looking forward to this book so much after seeing the brief glimpse of Asher and Billie in the previous book. Their enemy arc was something I was looking forward to watching develop, and they didn’t disappoint.
Their chemistry literally sizzled as they roasted each other constantly, each a match for the other. I loved that just when you thought one of them had the upper edge, things changed, and the other turned the tables.
I also loved the dynamics of the other people around them. Billie’s twin brothers Weston and Easton (from the 2 previous books) were also close friends with Asher which made things complicated with her absolute desire to hate him. They always had Billie’s back but could also see the attraction burning between them, even when Asher and Billie couldn’t see it themselves. Also, Harper, who is Billie’s business partner and best friend, could also see the developing attraction between the two enemies, so she managed things behind the scenes to help them out.
I loved the sweetness that came with the thawing between Asher and Billie at the Hamptons, the gentle domesticity balancing out the explosive, spicy scenes between them.
This has been a terrific series and is set to continue with Harper and Brody’s story coming next.

This book was great! I’m am really enjoying this series and my oh my it was Billy’s turn! Billy and Asher have been at each other’s throats for years. No one knows why including them! At first, I was a bit skeptical starting this book because I didn’t really like Asher’s character, but then as the story progressed, I began to change my mind completely, and realize that I was totally wrong about him. Asher was such a sweetheart and had so much love for Billy. I loved that Billy had a great head on her shoulders and wasn’t going to let other people run all over her or destroy what she had worked so hard for. Every page that I turned just kept getting better and better. I enjoyed the little splash of suspense and the spice between these two was absolutely incredible. Their relationship was so intense and very enjoyable! Lyra always manages to pull out another jewel. I give Billy and Asher 4.5 stars ⭐️.

This series is such a fun ride, great banter, entertaining interconnected characters, and a solid enemies-to-lovers setup that actually felt believable. I was hooked in the first half, Billie and Asher’s dynamic, with their competitive history and long-standing tension, made for an addictive, slow-burn vibe that felt earned.
What held me back from giving it a full 5 stars was the second half. Billie’s emotional shift felt too sudden like all her walls came down without Asher truly stepping up emotionally. While the chemistry was there, I really wanted Asher to work for it.
Also, the Glass Slipper Project felt like it had so much potential, but it was barely touched on. I would’ve loved to see that subplot more fully developed, it could have added depth and given Asher more room to grow.
Did I love them together? Absolutely.
Was the enemies-to-lovers tension believable? 100%.
I just wish the second half had taken its time the way the first half did.
Looking forward to the rest of the series, a month until Brody and Harper’s story drops! Cant wait!!

the first book was SO good, but the rest of this series is flopping; hard. the storyline and the plot are there, but i l feel like the author is trying too hard and overcompensating with the smut.
in the particular book, i am not a fan of the MMC being verbally abusive and then trying to spin it around on the FMC. she is not saying anything nearly half as bad as the MMC.
i also didn’t really care for the FMC being weak. what do you mean you’re going to throw yourself at a man who eviscerates you verbally every chance he gets?!?!
also, the gen z tiktok lingo is annoying. “it’s the ___ for me” “i love that for me” and whatever other dumb fucking phrases the author uses. i really wish authors would stop using trendy phrases and pop culture in order to sell their books.
