October 16, 2025“It began with a storm, a stolen human, and a plan to cheat the Fates.” This sums up Jules and Alaric’s story to a “T” ! He is the Lord of Lies in Nightfall and he decides to try to lie to the Fates ( big mistake ), and kidnaps Jules and have her fall into “fake love” with him. CD Gorri writes the best tale regarding how that is such a bad/great idea in this storyline. We get to see Alaric fall from his lofty throne to kneel at Jules feet begging her to believe he truly loves her ! The characters are amazing , the storyline well written and I can’t wait to read about the final 3 Lords of Nighfall. 5✨’s

Magic.
Danger.
Palpable Tension.
I don’t always read a lot of romantasy but I truly enjoyed this one! Jules and Alaric had such a beautiful connection, and the storyline drew me in from the start. Truly such a fun read.

Jules is alone. No family, no friends. No one to miss her when Alaric takes her to another realm. Battles ensue, actual war as well as wars to gain self-esteem and worth. the character and world building is amazing. Looking forward to more Nightfall.

This Book 1 in The Lords of Nightfall has an amazing paranormal romance story, a brand-new & well crafted world, and intense and complicated characters. These characters grab you from the beginning with their wit, cunning and caring. He needs to save his world from the Soultakers and maybe claiming the throne for himself, so he hatches a plan. This where she comes in, a human without any ties to her world to trick the fates into believing she is his true mate and form an appearance of the bond a "zareth". This is where everything changes for the better for both of them, but they must forge a true bond, work together and win the battle of their lives. This story has kidnapping, betrayals, trust, true bonding, battles, acceptance, twists, turns, chemistry, found family, love and HEA. I cannot wait for the other 3 Lords to find their "Viyella" while they also try to trick the "Fates". This is my new favorite world by this author.

4.5 stars. This spicy urban paranormal romantasy is the start of a new series.
The four demon Lords of Nightfall, a world that exists alongside Earth, are struggling against an enemy called the Soultakers, who have murdered the Prime who led Nightfall. Only a Lord who has found his fated mate and bonds with her will have the ability to take the crown left vacant after the death of the Prime.
Alaric, the Lord of Illusion, has suggested that the Lords look for mates on Earth and that they may be able to fool the Fates into believing that they have formed true bonds. However, when Alaric meets Jules, he finds himself drawn to her.
The characters are well crafted and the world building was great; there are plot twists both expected and unexpected and I look forward to reading the rest of the series!

Fated mates with a twist....
This was a good read, a little slow in the beginning, but picks up in the second half. I enjoyed the characters, and not just the main ones. The world building was really good and you could see this fantastical place. This story is full of steam and chemistry between Alaric and Jules. This is a little different concept than other paranormal reads that I have read and I enjoyed it and the new words for things, such as mates. The bad guys aren't caught so a little bit of waiting for the next book, but the couple gets their HEA, and toy dont feel like you are left hanging. Overall an enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to the next one.

This is book one in the author’s new Lords of Nightfall series and it’s an amazing read! I noticed that the series is already complete, thankfully since I won’t have to wait for the next book to be released, but I don’t know how I missed seeing it.
I loved Jules and Alaric, they were perfect for each other! With only vengeance in his heart in the beginning, Alaric had no idea when he kidnapped Jules how much she’d come to mean to him and it was wonderful to watch it happen; she truly became the queen of his heart!
If, like me, you haven’t read this series yet, grab it today, you’ll be glad you did; it’s SUCH an awesome book!! 5 stars

Seriously Fantastic Paranormal Series Starter!
Nightfall a new life! A love that will cross worlds and a war that will shake the foundations of everything they know!
It started out as a plan, Alaric a master of illusion didn’t see it coming, his true fate, a love that would take over his whole being and that he would burn the world down to keep her safe.
WOW! Such an engaging addictive read, new characters, some twists, lots of chemistry and sizzle and a story you simply won’t be able to put down.
Ms Gorri has outdone herself with this one. I cannot put into words how excited I am to read the next in this series.

Alaric and his “brothers” want to preserve the balance in Nightfall since the Prime has fallen. He comes to Earth to find a mate because those women are the easiest to trick, and he just needs the fates to believe that she is his true mate to ascend to the Prime position. He doesn’t count on meeting Jules and being so drawn to her. Jules is no ordinary human woman she shows compassion and kindness to everyone in Nightfall that she meets. Alaric falls deeper and deeper under her spell, even though that wasn’t the plan. When the battle ensues for Nightfall, will Alaric put it all on the line for Jules?

Powerful, engaging with this book and finding all the strength to get the fate mate to get on board. Nightfall is one of many planes of existence in the vast interwoven tapestry of universe. I believe all four bothers, over thought their plans about how to get their fate mates. Alaric has so much to gain. If the soul takers steps in claims Jules for their own. It's going to take a lot of convincing, on what steps to take to get the realm. Stolen by C.D. Gorri is a fun paranormal romantasy with steam and adventure featuring a dragon demon shifter and his curvy human fated mated. I recommend this book.

Quite enjoyable fantasy book
I normally do not like fantasy books. They are usually the hardest genre for me to read. It usually has do much world building that I lose interest pretty quickly. But I do like CD Gorri books so I thought I would give it a read. The book has just enough world building that I want to continue reading the series. I love how the characters fall for each other and I loved the premise of the book.
5 stars and 2 chilies for spiciness. Off to go buy book 2. Thank you CD for bringing another enjoyable read into the world!

Stolen: Lords of Nightfall was such a wild ride. It starts off intense and just keeps pulling you deeper into this dark, unpredictable world.
Jules is thrown into something she never asked for, and I liked that she didn’t just go along with it. And Alaric… he’s the kind of character you don’t fully trust, but can’t look away from. Watching him slowly lose control and actually need her was my favorite part.
Dark, emotional, and a little chaotic in the best way. Definitely has me wanting to see what happens next.

As a first-time reader of C. D. Gorri’s work, it was a bold, fast-paced ride. I finished this book in one sitting!
While the chemistry between Jules and Alaric is undeniable, the romance follows the instalove trajectory of fated mates. The story would have transformed significantly from a slow burn approach.
A solid choice for those who love intense paranormal tropes, but be prepared for a romance that ignites almost instantly!

What a fantastic book! When Alaric comes to Earth to find a woman to use so he could become the Prime, he didn't plan on it being his fated mate. The descriptions of the places and things are amazing. The changes they both go through together are sweet. Jules is no ordinary woman and proves it to Alaric and the people of Nightfall. The epilogue is special. It's a stand alone book, but I can't wait to see what is in store for their friend Kael in the next book.

Magic, fated mates, betrayal, stubborn curvy woman, over confident-possessive-protective male, steamy, plenty of new characters to fall in love with, danger, action packed, and happily-ever-mated.

I absolutely loved this first of a new series. A true beauty and the beast tale full of magic. Ms. Gorris has built another beautifully unique world for readers to lose themselves in. Each character brought something to the story that you want to dive into. You just want to know, no need to know more. Alaric and Jules were just perfect together. If the books to come are even half as good as this was, and they will be, wo we are in for a wild ride. Just awesome!!!

Jules is stolen from Earth by Alaric, one of the Lords of Nightfall. He's the Lord of Illusion and knows he can make Jules fall in love with him. What he didn't realize is he could fall too. But there are hazards and wars in this land that can't be foreseen. This is an excellent story, great characters and a wonderful new world in Nightfall. It's the start of a new series and I loved it.

DNF - I don’t have the patience to be reading overlapping POVs, was hoping it will stop with the first two chapters but no.
