But nothing will tempt him to help us. Nothing… except me.
Oh, don’t get this wrong—Weston James doesn’t want to win my heart. He doesn’t even want my body, despite the fact that every inch of me longs for him.
No, when this rich, powerful jerk agrees to help us in return for five nights with me, he’s not thinking about stolen kisses. He wants to humiliate me. To break my spirit, and punish my arrogant family once and for all.
Well, that’s too bad. Weston is about to find that I’m harder to break than he thinks.
This is a battle of wills. My pride against his bitterness.
But who will fall first?
And who will fall hardest?
Dirty Deal is a short and steamy instalove novella, starring a harsh, bitter hero and the girl who thaws the ice around his heart.
This was quick, spicy, and a little funny. Mild bully vibes in the beginning with some Beauty and the Beast echoes. I thought Weston’s flip of the switch to Nice Obsessed Grump instead of Mean Obsessed Grump was a little too abrupt. My favorites were the dashes of humor and snappy banter peppered in between the steamy bits. Overall an entertaining little palate cleanser.
You know Cassie Mint does it EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME I ate this shit up omg they were perfect Weston is my man and I will die on that hill. Also her parents are fucking idiots and honestly don’t deserve her at all she fr gave up everything to try and help them and what did they do throw it in her face wtf

I wanted to like this book because I had been waiting for it to come out. The premise intrigued me, so I was looking forward to reading it.
I don't know what I hate more, Lena being a simp for this asshole, Weston in all his judgemental glory, or her selfish parents. 🙄 I had to put the book down many times even with it being a short read it still felt like torture and I'm honesly surprised Lena didn't just sell her body to him because clearly it's what she really wanted from him. I kept saying to myself that this is definitely not a love story, more just one of an unhealthy obsession. Weston hates her and her family too much for any real positive emotions to filter through. He wants to break her, to return her to her dad a shell of her former self and honestly, it's disgusting. It's the exact premise of "Desire in his blood" by Zoey Draven, and that book is a lot longer than this one and I didn't believe his love for her either. The book is too short for this sudden change of heart.
The first stupid scene where she's cleaning his penthouse is where my mind checked out and I lost all respect for her as a character, and it's obviously not because of the cleaning. She offered herself up on a silver platter to an asshole just like that. What was she on about keeping? Right, her pride. Can't damage that, right? News flash, it's not going to be intact after you whore yourself out like that. It's honestly at this point that I just didn't care anymore, didn't really want anything more to do with the book. She's just so eager to stick his cock in her mouth when she has NO IDEA IF HE'S CLEAN? Like wtf people, seriously. Why is this always an ok thing to put in books for impressionable teens to read later. I'll never understand it. Never. And then she feels like shit when her dad points out she whored herself. Like yes, her dad is a dick, but if the shoe fits? He's not entirely wrong by saying what he did because she did suck Weston's cock while working for him and even if she told Weston it was not a part of the humiliating her for 5 nights to pay off her father's debts, she still did it during, so yes, the shoe fits.
I don't have the heart to give it a 1, because I do normally enjoy her books. This just really didn't do anything for me other than leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Dirty Deal was about Weston James and Lena Merritt.
This was...not what I expected. Weston, who grew up dirt-poor, worked his way from rags to riches. He had been the "protege" of Lena's father, who owned the Merritt Casino. But when the time came, he eventually bought her father out of his shares and took over the whole company. But he harbored a deep-seated resentment towards them all for how they had treated him while in their employment.
When Lena's parents started going deeper into debt due to their wasteful spending habits, Lena, who had been in Switzerland working for the past year, had to leave her life to return to their home to see how she could save them from themselves, as well as the threats from the criminals her father had gone to to borrow money. Since Weston had not only refused to return her parents' phone calls, but he had also banned them from the casino and his offices, it was left up to Lena to barter with him. However, it was his "deal" that she work for him for five nights, doing anything and everything he could think of to humiliate her, in exchange for him paying off her parents' debts.
Although the idea behind this plot was an intriguing one, it wasn't very well thought out or written down. It all took place in less than the five days allotted, and it just didn't make any sense. The whole reason behind his need for what...revenge?... was all because he wasn't born to wealth and her family was? How was that HER fault? And why was there any fault at all? This is the fate of many people worldwide...and not everyone felt the need for revenge. Then there was the fact that there wasn't any real resolution to...anything, honestly. Her parents treated her like sh*t, yet she felt compelled to humble herself to pay their debt. They didn't change their ways, though. They continued to berate her and treat her like sh*t. There was no answer as to whether or not Weston paid their debts. Then, on the third night she was to work off the debt, he took her to a sex club...to vet people he wanted to add to his employment?! The fourth night...they had sex in his office, during which he proposed? What?!
I can't even...I mean, this whole thing was a waste of time, and I won't give it anything higher than a one-star rating, even though it didn't even earn that.
Lena Merritt just spent a year in the Switzerland Alps. She was working in events management for a ski resort. She has flown home to help her parents. Weston James is her father’s ex protégé. He bought the family’s casino, Merritt Casino, a year ago and has stopped taking her parent’s calls. In the year she has been gone, her parents have lost everything except for their fancy townhouse. Apparently, her father was a weak man who cared more about appearing wealthy than securing their future. He took out loans first from banks, then from shadier companies before borrowing from gangs who take kneecaps versus payment plans.
Lena is furious with her parents. Her great grandfather built the Merritt Casino. Her father inherited it and ran it into the ground. Lena tells her parents that they are going to sell the townhouse and anything else of value including artwork and jewelry. She tells them that she will rent an apartment for the three of them, but they can not complain to her about their circumstances. Her father tells Lena that selling everything off will not pay all of the debts. Lena tells her parents that she will go to Weston James and ask for help.
Weston grew up in foster care, worked throughout high school and got his first full-time job as a valet at the Merritt Casino. He worked his way up and thought that once he made it, he could relax. But now that he owns the casino, he is bored out of his mind. Weston has been enchanted by Lena since the moment he saw her in the casino on her 21st birthday. He also resents her for being handed everything in life or so he thinks. Lena sneaks into Weston’s office. He is not happy to see her. She sits in one of the armchairs and tells him that she is willing to make a deal for his help. Weston tells Lena that he will pay off the debts if she spends five nights doing whatever he tells her to do. She has to obey his every order. He also has two conditions. One, she has to tell her father exactly what their deal is and two, once the five nights are over, the Merritt family is dead to him, including Lena.
It was crazy how much Weston and Lena wanted each other but did not want to admit it to each other.

Cassie Mint is the queen of the insta-love romance and they are all great. That being said, I do not know if I would call Dirty Deal an insta-love story. This is a love story about two people who desired each other but also teetered on the thin line between love and hate. Lena grew up wealthy, her parents’ princess, but escaped to Europe to gain some independent and autonomy. Weston, grew up poor and had to work for everything he has, which now includes the casino he bought from Lena’s family. Weston had worked his way to the top at the casino from doorman to eventually becoming Lena’s father’s protégé while secretly abhorring their attitudes and lavish lifestyle. While Lena was attracted to Weston, she thought he was cold and cared only for wealth, like her father. When Lena is called home from Europe, she finds her parents are destitute and in need of her help to pay of their debts and get back on their feet. Lena goes to the only person she knows with that kind of money, Weston. Weston is agreeing to give her the money in exchange for five nights of work. This is the dirty deal. Weston is angry at himself for not being able to get over his attraction to Lena and just say no to her so he tries to break her spirit with this deal. What he doesn’t realize is that she loves him so she’ll do whatever it takes to win him over. Cassie Mint always delivers a fun, sexy story with a guaranteed HEA and Dirty Deal delivers. It is definitely worth a read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She’s come home to help. Her parents figure out the financial debacle they find themselves in. There is only one way out that she can see, and that is to enlist the help of her father‘s former protégé, and the man who bought their business.. He is every bit as handsome and brooding as she remembers, she needs his help and has to deal with his anger to get it. He wants to punish her for the sins of her father. He is willing to help her, but wants to humiliate her to do it. However, once he has her and realizes that she isn’t her father, and that she is willing to do what is necessary despite the personal cost, he realizes his feelings, aren’t anger. They have strong chemistry and despite their power dynamics, they are drawn to each other even though it complicates everything. This is a short story format so you do not expect to get overly detailed character development or complicated plot lines. You get more of a character outline than a in depth back history. It is enough to understand what motivates the characters. Once they take the lid off the steam, they can’t go back. It is all Instalove and passion as a barrel towards their happily ever after.

He is going to make her pay for the sins of her father...but what happens when he wants a lot more
Dirty Deal is a stand-alone story that is hot, steamy, and very entertaining. The story is about Lena Merritt and Weston James. She grew up rich with her father owning a casino. But last year she started her life over in Switzerland, working in marketing at a resort in the Alps. But she has been pulled back home by her parents as they have fallen from grace and things are dire. Weston grew up poor but worked hard to get to where he is. He started as a valet at the Merritt Casino when he was still in high school, then became the right hand man to Mr. Merritt and now he owns the casino after buying it last year. But when Lena comes to ask for his help he is going to make her pay for her family's sins and all those slights. Lena is not above some grovelling, hard work and humiliation if it means she can get her parents out of the hole they have dug for themselves. The back and forth between Weston and Lena is sparking with chemistry that make take a few days to ignite but watch out when it does.
Phew, a quick enemies to lovers - no messing around with Lena and Weston. He's always craved her, but has felt unworthy. Now he holds all the cards, or rather her father's casino, in his hands. Lena arrives home to try and help her selfish parents sort out their debts. (Not much to say about the parents but they are truly selfish). She arrives cap in hand to ask Weston for help. He suggests 5 nights of work after which he doesn't want to see or hear of her and her parents again. A bargain is struck. She will do anything over the next 5 nights and he will pay off her parents debt. Weston tries to find ways to humiliate Lena, but she's less of the princess he thought she was. She'll do what it takes, but not anything intimate. However it becomes clear that Lena wants to do what her body craves. She wants Weston. They have a steamy few nights and Weston realises he can't let her go. A HEA is guaranteed and it's just a lovely quick read. Love it.

TROPES: ~enemies to lovers ~age gap ~dad's previous boss/forbidden ~unrequited love
This was a cute read! It's been a little while since Cassie Mint has released anything new, and I snatched up this ARC so quick!
The hero and the heroine are enemies. He's her dad's previous boss, the person who bought her dad's company. For the last year, her parents have been living in disgrace with no money. She goes to Weston (hero) to get him to help out. They agree that for 5 nights she will be humiliated by him and if she makes it through, he'll pay off her family's debts. They fall for each other in the process.
SAFETY: Virgin/manwhore/celibate: virgin heroine, not a manwhore hero OM/OW: none Cheating/sharing: none Triggers: neglect from parents Kinks: dirty talk, praise HEA?: yes <3
Wow – I was hooked from the beginning of this book. Lena’s parents are in complete denial on how much (dangerous) debt they are in. Lena comes home from Switzerland to help out and is disgusted with them still living a billionaire lifestyle to “keep up appearances” despite the threats they have received from the money lenders. Lena approaches Weston who progressed through the ranks in her Dad’s casino to now owning it. Begrudgingly he agrees to help her with their debts. In return she has to do as he says for 5 days. What starts as menial tasks turns into something much hotter. They both want to deny their feelings but the chemistry between them in is palpable. This is a brilliant read and raised so many different emotions. If you want a shorter read which is still a great story with plenty of steam this is the book for you. I loved it.
This is a short and steamy age-gap, enemies to lovers, forbidden, insta-love romance between Weston and Lena. Weston used to be Lena's father's protege and he even bought their business and now Lena needs Weston's help to save her family. He's just as broody and handsome as Lena remembers except she's dealing with Weston's anger. Lena is willing to do anything to save her family even make a humiliating deal with a rich powerful jerk like Weston. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this short and steamy age-gap, enemies to lovers, forbidden, insta-love romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Lena and Weston, a steamy tale of asking for help and revenge. Weston is the new owner of the casino Lena’s family had owned. She goes to Weston offering to do anything if he will help with her parents debt. 5 nights he says, 5 nights where he plans on humiliating her. I did laugh when the first night was polishing ALL the casino staffs shoes! Of course things don’t go to plan, things heat up quickly. I enjoyed their banter immensely, they challenged each other even in the intimate times. Be assured, no cheating and a HEA that was both amusing and heartfelt.

This book is so good. There is a lot of drama, but it makes the plot grab you from the first page to the last. Lena returns to the States after being away for a year to rescue her parents from all the horrible financial decisions they have made. The only person she can turn to is Weston. Unfortunately, he hates the whole family because of how Lena's parents treated him. Under all the emotions that Lena and Weston have, there is an attraction that will not go away. The plot is excellent, with lots of spice and the best HEA.

Dirty Deal is full of powerful tension, strong characters, and a sexy and delicious build-up. Weston and Lena have an old and tumultuous connection that comes full circle when Lena re-enters his life. I love how strong and independent Lena is—her fierce fire and determination to do things on her own terms is amazing. Weston holds a lot of anger and resentment towards her family, but Lena handles all of his lashing out like a champ. I loved watching these two figure out their emotions and finally go forward. Such a fun read!

Lena Merritt and Weston James is our MFC and MMC. A story of love that almost got away. These two meet a year prior when James (once poor) bought her father’s casino handed down in the family. At which time Lena moved to Switzerland. But fate has a way of resolving things and she’s back home again. She makes a deal with James in return for his helping get her parents out of trouble one last time. An insta love with spiciness and a happy ending. 👍🏻.

Lena is coming back home, the last place she wanted to be but her parents needed her. She had left home when Weston bought her father's casino when he got into financial trouble. Now she is hoping Weston will able to help again, now that her dad is in financial trouble again.
She make a deal with him for five nights of asking for her to do anything, except that. It is not long before each of them are feeling the heat.

Weston and Lena. Her father use to own the casino the Weston now owns and has taken a failing business and built it into an empire worth a fortune. Weston was humiliated and belittled by Lenas father while he worked for him. He always craved Lena but he always felt as though she felt him to be beneath her. These are two very complex charecters that have a smouldering chemistry. Theres lots of misunderstanding and misinterpretations between the two. Very entertaining read.

Lena and Weston have a love that neither realizes they have. After making a deal with Weston to help save her parents she’s willing to do anything for Weston, except sex. But love trumps everything and once they realize they’re it for each other no dirty deed will stand in their way. Loved this sexy steamy read.

This is an enemies to lovers, slow burn novella. Can Weston get over his hate for Lena and can Lena ever trust someone who hates her family so much? Lena comes home to try to save her parents from money sharks and makes a deal with the devil, 5 nights of him humiliating her in whatever way he wants for enough money to help her parents. This does have a HEA and some spice.

The games begin when Wes and Lena enter into an agreement. He wants to break her, but Lena is stubborn and tells him to bring it! Their wills are at stake and the battle is about to begin. This action-packed drama kept me all caught up in Wes and Lena. It is well written, a wonderful plot that is descriptive along with vibrant characters that brings this story to life.

Dirty Deal was another fantastic OTT insta love romance by Cassie Mint. Weston and Lena prove there is a fine line between love and hate. Weston's hatred for the Merritt family blinded him to his true feelings for their daughter Lena. And when she comes to him for help, she agrees to obey him for 5 nights if he will save her parents. Each night the chemistry between them gets stronger and stronger. Definitely recommend.
4.5 ⭐️- this is probably my favorite Cassie Mint novella.
I absolutely loved how strong and independent Lena, the FMC, was. She was not about to be run over and used.
Weston, the MMC, has strong prejudices about her based on how she grew up (she grew up rich, he was poor) but he still wanted her and watching him overcome that was so good.
I one-clicked this book faster than I could read the blurb. Cassie is one of the few authors I can do that with, I love everything she writes. My only complaint is to wish it were longer. The characters were beautifully developed, the story flowed so well. I loved it.

Dirty Deal by Cassie Mint (Arc Review) ⭐⭐⭐ 3.5 Stars
This was a good read, I felt a little disappointed that we didn't get a scene with Weston confronting Lena's parents at the end but overall, I liked it. The mutual pining and battle of wills was everything💞

Wow - a story of two people who are hiding their true feelings but in five days all comes out. This tale is told from dual pov’s and that really pulls the reader into the story. I did want to smack her parents.
