Harvey dent's wife is in the hospital while he lives.
and all those who took part in bombing his house are killed because a rumor was deliberately spread that they made a deal to get out.
is that thing about the nails having serial numbers true !?

Exactly the same length as the first issue I’m sure, but this seemed to whizz past! Madness.

In this one, the conclusion to issue 1 wasn’t as we had suspected, which will lead up to the big event that changed HD forever.

Batman, whilst searching for the ones responsible for the bombing of the Dent household, comes across Solomon Grundy.

Did you know he was born on a Monday?

I like the trap Gordon and Dent set. The bomb that blew up at the end of the first book supposedly killed the Dents. It was to be the response for Harvey taking out Falcone's nephew. It didn't the Dents and we don't know that Harvey killed the nephew. Using Harvey in disguise, they got Falcone's crew to confess to their parts in the 'murder'. But none would implicate Falcone.

Falcone's sister, a la Talia Shire, is beside herself that her son was killed. Falcone assures her that he's working on settling that.

We also get the introduction (at least for me) to Solomon Grundy born on a Monday. Batman encounters him in the sewers.

It's Thanksgiving. The good guys are wiped out; the bad guys are festive. And just like in the Godfather, the bad guys are shot up. Who? We don't know yet. I guess we'll have to tune into the next issue. ;)

2024 - Year of The Bat (366 Days of Batman)

Day 113: A bit slower than the first issue (probably due to being a regular sized comic) combined with characters I don’t know (the Irish mobsters) or care about (Solomon Grundy), made this feel like the Sophomore Slump of the series. Quick resolution, though, to last issue’s ending.

In this very special episode, Solomon Grundy helps Batman learn the TRUE meaning of Thanksgiving and I'm not even exaggerating that much

Also, I've started reading these issues as they approximately correspond to the real-world time of year, and now I think I need to keep it up forever

Now taking place on Thanksgiving, we see “Holiday” continue their murders while Gotham’s trio of heroes attempt to deduce the killer’s identity. Love watching Batman care for his villains, and understand when someone is in his way but not the bad guy like poor Solomon Grundy…born on a Monday

"Harvey Dent is dead."

This book is just so insanely gorgeous. Every panel is so beautiful and Solomon Grundy has such a lovely aura around him. I have no idea how Tim Sale does it, but it's remarkable.

Also, don't think there's a single panel where Bruce isn't Batman. Hell yeah. Batman only issue. And it's such a lovely page with Batman taking Grundy a plate for Thanksgiving. THAT'S who Batman is.

Really nice, the cameos don't bother me as much as they did the last time I read it (so far). Having the rogues gallery be in the background for a proper mafia story involving Bats, Gordon and Dent is always good.
